Thank you so much for this, I’m autistic and have a trait with infodumping to people. Especially trauma dumping to people I wasn’t really close to. While it was fun it made me prone to being bullied, people used things against me, etc. I’m learning now to keep certain things to myself and I still am but I feel better about it nowadays, I feel like I can be at peace.

The idea of being thin honestly feels very vulnerable and scary to me. The last time I was thin was a period of my life that I experienced truly intense misogyny and objectification. I started putting on weight to reclaim my body and protect myself. I'm trying to challenge the correlation between weight and safety now, and it's the hardest thing I've ever done.

Thank you for making videos on this, and even including photos considering it's pretty hard to even show yourself at your worst. I've been in a binge cycle for almost 1/4 of the month now, and your videos have been helping me so much in working towards breaking out. You included everything that most people don't include in their videos.

You will want to balance cardio and muscle training along a healthy calorie deficit, depending on how much fat you're trying to lose if you don't muscle train you'll just end up "skinny fat" (aka being at a lower weight but still looking flabby)

I’m an intense snacker so I make a nibble plate. It’s a small plate where I place blueberries, strawberries, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers slices, banana slices, and then sometimes some light weight crackers with cream cheese or goat cheese that I have to spread on to the cracker each time I wanna take a bite of one. This allows me to snack on a combo of different nutritious things and is aesthetically pleasing to look at. Currently making one now to eat while I play video games with my friends. It’s better to mindlessly munch on something nutrient dense rather than potato chips.

@@xxaavviieerrrrr I 100% feel you there. Bored eating is tragic. 🤣 I try to cancel out food noise by playing KZbin videos or a rerun of a show or music in the background while I do stuff. Ik it probably isn’t the best to always be absorbing media but I’ve noticed less food thoughts recently since I’ve been doing that. That and fidget toys distract my hands sometimes.

Two things that I would personally add; I’m personally a big fan of intermittent fasting because it pointed out to me how much I was snacking in the evenings because I was bored or just for the sake of it, but having an eating window really helped me be more mindful of when/why/how I’m eating! Obviously if out with friends or a one off it’s not a big deal to eat outside your window, but on a general day to day routine I’ve found it really helpful! Another thing I’d say is to always keep body types in mind when focusing on weight loss and to stay realistic. A good phrase I heard for it recently was to remember that a Labrador isn’t supposed to look like a Greyhound; ideal fitness and health looks different on everyone depending on your body’s structure and it’s important to hold yourself to your own standard rather than someone’s else’s definition of beauty!

I looove that balanced approach! ❤️ I think that it could be great to also talk about shame and how to release it through somatic work. I have been feeling also powerless sometimes around my weight because i am trying to heal also from a chronic illness making it extra tiring to cook or workout. So I would love to see any small daily tips to keep it simple and balanced. It helped me to also not feel like if am currently unable to workout very much, it doesn’t mean I cannot lose the weight. ❤💪🏻

the thing that makes loosing weight so hard is we overeat a lot. I went from having 3 meals a day to only one. The single meal was slightly larger so food quantity consumed was close to half and in the end i did not loose any weight. And my explanation is that i probably used to eat double of what i needed, so when i cut it in half it became the amount needed to maintain weight. The extra food that i used to eat seems to just have passed through the digestive system without the body taking calories from it. But when i decrease the food the body seems to become more efficient and not as wasteful and absorbs more calories from the food. I wasted so much time and money consuming food that i did not need. Now i eat half the food i used to eat and maintain same weight.

Heavy training leads to a cortisol spike the new day(s). A cortisol leads to water retention. So it's normal to feel puffier after a particularly tough day of exercise.

Their are actual benefits to fasting. It's been proven that humans don't need to eat a lot. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day was a slogan to slang cornflakes. And if ever in doubt of a study on food, always see who funded the study it will tell you everything you need to know before reading it.

Yup I come from a family full of gossipers so I took gossiping as normal behavior from others. But the truth is gossiping and even “venting” about other people is not normal. It’s toxic because they usually gossip/vent about people they maintain relationships with they resent or have contempt for. And it’s so true if they gossip with you 10/10 they’re gossiping about you too! As of lately I never tell people who gossip anything about me or seek to be close with them. Gossiping is not a form of connection. The easiest way to spot out fake people is whether they gossip!

just me though who thought the girl on the left in the thumbnail looks more badass and intriguing? like a joshi or a sukeban who could dogwalk me if i pissed her off. a tuff girl with an attitude and a personality and a past. i'd put her in a movie frozen flawless beat ig faces are a dime a dozen and forgettable after a point, and pretty as they are they're homogenous. not to sound rude and not trying to criticise any individuals, just pointing out how much general ubiquitous beauty standards are trying to turn us all into conformist dolls
