@ProjectBullitt

If you’re concerned about popping while decelerating, that’s just unburnt fuel being ignited by the headers, which is normal. Stock mufflers will prevent this by increasing back pressure and reducing HP.

I have an '08 DHG Bullitt. BBK shorty headers, doing the same 127500 cams and JLT series 3 intake. I think the reason the JLT didn't make any more power than the Ford Racing is because the air from both intakes has to go through the same size throttle body. I'm upgrading mine to the 62mm throttle body at the same time as everything else.
@ProjectBullitt
@ProjectBullitt Жыл бұрын
Well both tests were done with that 62mm TB. (Which looks great). LITO is considered the best remote tuner for 3v’s among the forums, and he made a comment saying the Ford racing intake was the best you can get.

Been following your build from the beginning. I own #0890. Curious how things are going and if you've been continuing the build on the car? My car has some mods as well, but retains an overall factory vibe. Installed the Ford Performance Adjustable Handling Pack shortly after I bought it. It sits about an inch and a half lower and corners on rails. I also did the FR500 axle back mufflers, MGW short shifter, aluminum driveshaft, Boss Tubular rear trailing arms with relocation brackets and an adjustable upper control arm to reset the pinion angle. Front end also has adjustable links to help with front end sway bar geometry. I also have a set of blackheart shorty headers and the FRP Hotrod cams that are waiting in the wings for me to finally take the plunge and install. I've been sitting on the cams because I haven't really heard a lot of first hand opinions on how and if they affect reliability of the engine. My car has around 90k miles on it so curious if I should do timing chains, guides, tensioners or any other preventative things to the top end when installing the cams. I'm honestly wanting to do it for the sound and driving experience, however I guess my worry is I also enjoy it as it is and fear if messing with my cars heart could backfire. I've always enjoyed bolt on mods, suspension and stuff like that so a little leery I guess of tearing into the engine not knowing exactly what to expect. If you have any recommendations based on your experience with doing this mod I would greatly enjoy your feedback. Thanks again for the awesome Bullitt content. Hope there will be more to come. My best from Wisconsin!
