i feel something i needed to learn about art recently is something that goes a little further than "learn to enjoy the process" maybe its something that doesnt need to be said or something that you covered well enough in the words you chose and im just failing to see, but i think what i was missing was: "In _what ways_ do i enjoy art?" for the longest time, my answer to that was that i liked to make cool things, or rather, i like to feel cool according to my standard of doing cool things. and to me, all that focus was on the finished product, like it doesnt matter if i hate the process so long ws what i make is "cool" and fun _in the end,_ and yet i remained bewildered when i couldnt motivate myself to keep drawing and keep practicing.i wanted to get to a level of skill where i could bring my imagination to life on the canvas, but i was never satiafied with my final product like the first monkey, and me hating the process of art itself absolutely did not help. your video encapsulates the idea of prioritizing the journey over the destination, but i feel your analogies could have been strengthened by simply using more analogies. not everyone likes to climb trees, and you definitely dont suggest everyone does, but only having hat one analogy almost seems to take away from the fact that the second monkey is only using that analogy _because_ it enjoys climbing trees. and thats the secret, in my inexperienced opinion. to do art in a way _you_ enjoy doing. not just in a broad sense with different art styles, but the very way you approach art _to begin with._ get rid of the tedium that art brings and focus on what you actually _enjoy doing_ in art. if that means things in your imagination become impossible to recreate then so be it, but the goal now is to actually become _comfortable_ with art before challenging yourself. if you even find yourself NEEDING challenge at least, because you should be using your comfort zone to inform you of what direction you'd like to take your art in, give consideration to what advice helps or hurts your enjoyment. and hopefully along this journey of learning new ways to play the game, youll find yourself making things you love, whether they reflect the art styles you originally wanted to pursue or not thats the way ive come to see it recently at least, we'll see how it plays out for me lmfao

Exactly what I needed. The perfect video for me at this time. I am going thru the same experience you just described, but instead of French it was Spanish cuz I’m in America. Been at it on and, very much, off for a while now. I think I’m going to go back to Japanese since this is the language I’ve fallen in love with. Thank you for this video, again it came at the right time and I think this is the push I needed. I appreciate you and your effort in creating this video.

The water must be still boiling when it hits the leaves. Brew 3-4 minutes. Go full Loose leaf black tea plus milk already in the cup before pouring from tea pot! No contest. Proper grown up drink! Jasmine green tea with flowers, very good too, no milk. There’s a whole universe of tea out there, go explore. Namaste.

I love/hate how everyone involved lacked understanding. Grandpa: Surely buying a monkey will be a great idea (clueless) Grandma: Surely my husband didn't actually asked me if is okey that he is buying a monkey, I'll tell him yes (clueless) Policeman and emergency operator: Surely they didn't meant monkey when they said "monkey", I'm gonna assume they meant men (clueless)

What makes this even funnier is that this is based off of an art piece which depicts Saruman gazing into the Palantir and Wormtongue watching from the shadows.

And in America, everyone's all like "Oh we have a constitutional right to cast Evocation magic" and its like yeah, okay, but that law was written back when Firebolt was cutting edge, and maybe when your contry has a mass arson/Explosives problem, we actually do something about it beyond thoughts and prayers 😤

A little late to the party, but here is my two cents. Since I was 20 I was amazed by young people doing things I never understood. I felt old since I was 20 and I was certain by 25 when my brain is "fully developed" that taking up a new skill would be impossible. Well I am hitting 30 soon and this year I learned how to make music, finished a game, did some art, learned rigging, texturing, how to apply math in programming, etc. It is never too late, stop procrastinating, just picjk a thing up and do it. I swear procrastination was the worst thing I endulged in during my life. Just shut your brain off, take the thing and start making and learning. Need the basics? google em, and learn WITH AN OPEN MIND. DO not think about it, about the process about planning. Just pick it up. It is really that simple. You can do it!

I’m organizing some stickers right now and throwing on random videos to pass the time and I just adore this video. You are such an amazing story teller, the end made me tear up haha. I’m organizing my sticker because I’m moving out for the first time with my partner and I think I needed this video. It’s going to take a lifetime of practice to truly learn how to love in the truest way possible. Thank you
