@TheRiggedBA I came across a tennis channel named Goatkovic. I probably pissed him off when I said that Jannik Sinner is the Michael Jordan of tennis. In this context, both players were protected by the media, the media overrates them, and their respective leagues protect them and cover up their violations and/or scandals. Jannik Sinner is involved in a doping scandal during the 2024 ATP tennis season, but the ATP let him play even though he committed a doping violation. The Jannik situation is complicated, so it won't be discussed here. Jordan was involved in a gambling problem where he lost bets while playing golf with someone, but David Stern asked him to retire so that he would return when the time was right. I want to verify if this is allegedly a secret suspension where Jordan broke the rules related to gambling. So, the Goatkovic reply said this to me, so I copy and paste it here. Goatkovic's reply to me: "I don't know why there's so many of you guys who think that you're clever when I can see you coming from a mile away. Hiding behind some bs story about Chamberlain to mask your anti-Jordan, pro-Lebron agenda is just like Fedal fans who suddenly became fans of Sampras, Borg, or Laver, just so they can dis Djokovic. Shitting on Jordan for being protected by the NBA and the media while simultaneously claiming that Lebron is the goat is downright laughable, since Bron is more protected than a polar bear. Statistically, technically, mentally, and legacy-wise, Lebron doesn't even enter the goat debate. His only claim to fame are cumulative stats, which he padded by "load-managing," jumping from one super-team to another, leading his teams from one failure to the next, and scapegoating teammates and coaches for his failures. Lebron is not even top 10, and had he played in the Jordan era with the old rules, his bulldozing style would not work and he'd be a thoroughly mediocre player. Do me a favor and don't comment on basketball on my channel. I have my hands full with dishonest fedaltards. Go post your nonsense on Skap Attack channel and let him educate you." From my interpretation, he told me that I am anti-Jordan, but I don't make remarks that I am anti-Jordan. He straight on called me a Bronsexual on the comment that I ranked Wilt Chamberlain as the GOAT based on opinion, and who's the GOAT based on today's modern NBA, which is LeBron. I also said that Chamberlain is 1st in my opinionated GOAT list, and LeBron second (in my mind, he's the only guy who had 41k points, most minutes played, helped teams win championships on three different franchises, and his remarkable longevity is impeccable). This is a tennis channel that uses real evidence and information to prove that Novak Djokovic is the GOAT of tennis, which I agree with him due to the tangible records that are unbeatable (Most grand slams, most ATP finals wins, most Masters wins, most Top 5 wins, winning record against Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, etc.). The records are easier to point out the GOAT since tennis is an individual sport, but this will not work in the NBA due to many top all-time greats that can match with each other. Objectively in the NBA, no one is the GOAT because setting up the standard who is the GOAT is too difficult to create. It's odd to see him using facts to prove Djokovic as the best ever, but then throws a hissy fit when it comes to Jordan. It's like he only knows the Michael Jordan that is perfectly invincible, a mythical baller that transcends all of basketball, but has no clue on the actual Michael Jordan on the video that you made, which is a big thank you for that, sir. Goatkovic calls LeBron a stat-padder, a terrible teammate who blames other players and coaches for his failures (does not take into account that the Cavalier management screwed him over in 2010 that eventually led LeBron to join a super team, yet never criticized Kevin Durant for forming a super team with the Warriors and people remember LeBron's LeGM moniker since he is perceived to have total influence on roster construction). The last paragraph is disturbing for me since that one represents someone who does not allow other opinions about Jordan to exist especially to bring up the real Jordan that had flaws and experienced failures, and told me to be educated by Skap Attack, who is also doing propaganda on LeBron hate. Damn, all of this mess really start of marketing Jordan as the GOAT, a fictitious version of him instead of the actual player. It even transcends to tennis fans like Goatkovic who happen to view Novak Djokovic as the GOAT. Even mentioning about Wilt Chamberlain upset him too. I personally think Chamberlain is one of very few oldies that can be plucked into today's NBA and thrive. Just look at Victor Wenbanyama and he's doing pretty well in his second year of his NBA career, and he's a very lengthy guy. I didn't expect this that Goatkovic would go on using ad hominem attacks calling me Bronsexual even I put Chamberlain as the GOAT and LeBron 2nd. It's like the invincible perfection of Michael Jordan cannot be challenged and must be accepted as the ultimate truth, and feels like a cult based on Goatkovic's words. Very disturbing, not gonna lie. And once again, thanks for this video and your videos are like music to my ears. I heard that you may not make videos anymore due to your circumstances, but hopefully, your information and videos are passed on so that people will eventually know the truth.

Have you seen how LeBron has been officiated as of late? I mean, he's always had an appallingly bad whistle for a superstar but what defenders have been able to get away with against him lately has been ridiculous and the decline in FTA's reflects as much. Adam Silver should try making it less obvious he wants to push LeBron out of the league and bring forward his retirement, though perhaps he doesn't need to since those who have been conditioned into hatred will insist LeBron gets every call anyway.

What isn't mentioned often is how Jordan faced the weakest string of Finals opponents of any player who's in the GOAT debate, whose Bulls team was projected to win every Finals they appeared in, as documented by SportsCasting: 1991 vs Lakers: -200 favorites 1992 vs Blazers: -250 favorites 1993 vs Suns: -240 favorites 1996 vs Sonics: -950 favorites 1997 vs Jazz: -600 favorites 1998 vs Jazz: -115 favorites But of course the MJ Bible preaches that being favorited 100% of the time in the Finals was solely and only due to the supernatural presence of Jordan.
@TheRiggedBA6 күн бұрын
Yeah, the "Jordan was the monster" argument. That Jordan never had to slay the monster(ie beat a heavily favored team) because Jordan himself supposedly WAS the monster and automatically made any team he was on the favorite just by being there. It's another one of those arguments that pretends Jordan only played 6 seasons. But, of course, Jordan actually played 15 seasons and was the underdog the majority of the time. In 1990, the Pistons were the favorites against Jordan and the Bulls. In 1991, Jordan and the Bulls became the favorites after the Pistons physically deteriorated. The Bulls were then the favorite over a severely reduced 1991 Lakers team who are contenders for weakest Finals opponent ever. It's a little easier to be the favorite when your competition is lacking.
@NothingElseMattersJM5 күн бұрын
This would be a good argument if A) MJ lost in any of those finals meaning he always met expectations on the biggest stage which is a positive for his legacy. B) If betting odds were anything more than an appeal to popularity. The same sports betting odds had a young OKC team in 2012 losing to LeBron, Wade and Bosh in their primes. Now if you compare MJ to some of the other greats , they don’t have a 100% win rate in Finals they were favorited in. Kobe and Shaq in 2004 for example. Lebron and Wade in 2011 for example . Of course MJ had a good team around him but what I always find funny about the anti MJ crowd is the talk about how great the Bulls were without MJ and how they won 55 games yet somehow they couldn’t get past the Knicks or the 2nd round without MJ.
@NothingElseMattersJM5 күн бұрын
@@TheRiggedBA Well if you wanna go off statistics 📊 and SRS , the Bulls 1991 run would be the 31st hardest playoff run so fairly easy but by that same metric, the 1997 ring is the 3rd hardest in history and the 1993 ring would be the 10th hardest in history. You guys don’t have to like MJ but the numbers speak for themselves lol.

@@TheRiggedBA I think the discrepancy comes down to a mix of underrating MJ’s comp like the Knicks and Heat who were historic defenses and overrating the Bulls specifically Pippen. @@TheRiggedBA Funny, I guess dictionary publishers and the prevailing opinion of English speakers don't know anything about English either. Straight From Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English: "I'd like to think/believe" Used to say that you wish or hope something is true, when you are not sure that it is. English Language and Usage Stack Exchange: "'I like to think' introduces a pleasant or hopeful wish, but with some uncertainty." English Club: "You can say this if you hope something's true, even though it might not be" PhraseMix: "Use this phrase when you're imagining or guessing something, and you want to say what you hope is true." A simple search finds all of these and how it is pervasive in english to convey hope and wishes and wants. But you will remain deluded in your denial of what it means. Again, I weep for your English teachers and for your lack of education and inability to think critically. Lebron changed his wording. If you don't understand the difference, then go back to your dictionaries and look up the word "contraction". "I'd" is a contraction of "I would". "Would" is the word that conveys a hope or uncertainty, not "think". "Think" does not mean "hope". "I like to think" literally means that you think something to be the case and you like that it is the case. @@TheRiggedBA Your ignorance is astounding. 1) George Gervin was a 33 year old Vet when he played with MJ for one szn in 85-86 when MJ was 22 in his second szn and missed 60 plus games due to a broken foot. 2) MJ & Pippens situation was totally different, MJ was 23 when Pippen was drafted & they developed along side eachother and got better together this led to Scottie becoming an high level allstar caliber player by 1990 which Chicago & MJ thought he could be, which eventually led to them winning 6 championships. 3) I’ve watched every one of your Jordan videos over the years (as well as some of your other content) & Your issue is you choose to deny the fact that Michael Jordan was an incredibly talented despite evidence proving he was, in order to push narratives & conspiracies (which is ironic) to discredit his career. @@TheRiggedBA That’s true…. Except MJ was already averaging 28 ppg as a rookie before Gervin got there so there goes that argument. In 90% of cases, I don’t buy the argument that x player made y player so Pippen probably would still be an all star without MJ …but we do know for a fact MJ was the bulls offense. I mean we literally saw it in 1993-94 when the were a mediocre offense with Pippen, Grant and Armstrong.

@@Ashcash95 ["MJ & Pippens situation was totally different"] The principle of both situations is the same: a player benefitting from being around a teammate But, you only accept the one and reject the other because your view isn't based on any logical consistency. It's based on your personal Jordan fandom. ["News flash He wasnt great because of marketing or propaganda, he was marketed because he was a great player"] Well, you know, except for the fact that Jordan's marketing campaign started before he ever played a single NBA game and it had already been designed long before it was started. But, maybe you've convinced yourself that Jordan was so great that he could travel backwards through time.

@@TheRiggedBA 1) Your ability to ignore the context is truly remarkable, Iceman & MJ vs Pippen & Mjs relationship were two completely different things for two different lengths of time, that led too different outcomes but you’re clearly choosing to ignore that context of each because it debunks your point. 2) “Jordans marketing campaign started before he played and NBA game & its had already been designed long before its started” lets go down the list of some athletes before & after Jordan who who had marketing campaigns before they went pro such as Kareem Abdul Jabbar, the late Diego Maradona, Zion Williamson, Mike Tyson, Carl Lewis, Lebron James, Caitln Clark, Serena Williams. Lets focus on the best player of the 21st century Lebron James who was drafted in June 2003. • Lebron James who had his High school games nationally televised on ESPN in 2002 before he stepped in the NBA, • How about Lebron who at 18 was on the cover of sports illustrated deemed the “chosen one” before he played in the league. • Or when he signed a 87 million dollar contract with Nike he played a game. Lebron earned all of that because of how incredibly talented he was at such a young age. Now ask yourself this, Did Lebron who has 4 titles, 4 finals mvps, 4 league mvps, & 40k pts 11k rebs & 11k asts who just joined Kareem for the only two players with 15k field goals made, get those accomplishments because of marketing he got as a teenager, or is it because he was indoctrinate to the masses? OR because he is a once in a lifetime talent like MJ, who has been consistently great at the game for 21 years…. You have been pushing this marketing against Jordan for years when in reality he was not the first, nor will he be the last player to be heavily marketed. Your issue with Mj is you hate the fact that Jordan was such a great player & led to an incredible amount of success for both himself and his team, that he took the NBA by storm & was able to take advantage of the opportunities that came his way from a marketing standpoint to build his own legacy as a brand and player which eventually led to it opening the doors for alot of others afterwards.

In 30 games played as a 40 YEAR OLD against “modern zone defenses” + handchecking, MJ AVERAGED 22, 7 and 3 on 46/22/84 splits which is the same percentages he shot in 1998. “Zone defenses” limiting MJ is a myth let alone any other great player. It’s as silly as thinking the lack of a semi circle limited 90’s players. If you can’t adapt to the rules, you were never elite in the first place.

Even after 10 years (2013) league-wide vertical grew by 5 inches. and it's been on a steady increase ever since. So circle that back to 1993 and even 1983 and it's a possibility that the jump could be 10 to 15 inches league-wide. All the other top 10 players (Jokic, SGA, Luka, KD, etc) are lesser athletes which goes to show athleticism is only one part of basketball. Too bad Craig Ehlo wasn’t the only person who MJ averaged 30 on LOL. Long athletic 220-230 lb wings with good size like Drexler and Grant Hill ? 30 piece for MJ. Quicker, smaller guards who move well laterally like Joe Dumars and GP? 30 piece for MJ. Wanna put 6’7 250 Anthony Mason to limit MJ post ups ? 30 piece for MJ This is why MJ is arguably the greatest scorer ever. First; get a mic… they don’t cost much. Since I am confident this is about tearing him down to build up LeBron, I will note him. Jordan was drafted in 1984, won his first title in 1991. 7 years with the team that drafted him. LeBron was drafted 2003, won his first 2012. 9 years with another team that he created. Michael won every championship he was in until his second retirement. 91, 92, 93 retired 2 years, 96, 97 and 98, retired two years to return to the Wizards. You know LeBron’s ability to join teams and his record in the finals so no point in reiterating. If you genuinely want to know, you’d go back and watch old games. It’s simple to do on KZbin. If your argument is the game is harder, I’d argue with one word. How? Between the lack of handchecking, palming, carrying, traveling and laxed defense as a whole, people think the 90s players would do even better. Everyone can hold the opinion they want, but an uninformed opinion based on bias is worthless. Did Michael need a team? Of course. 1 on 5 doesn’t work for any human. They built a team like he thought they weren’t and with their maturation they overcame the Pistons. You think it’s coincidence that they got closer every year to beating them before sweeping them? Michael never built a super team. He never gave his friend a coaching job. He never pulled strings to get Marcus into the NBA. He never needed “days off” because he was sad or refused to play back-to-back games. Jump out of your little echo chamber where you guys regurgitate some vindicating talk to reinforce one another’s bias. You can find hard stats and competitive opinions to KNOW why that man played on a different level. I mean shit, did you watch The Last Dance”? The guy was a fucking nightmare to his own teammates. Hounding them to get better. Forcing everyone to raise their game. Seriously, unless you just want to remain ignorant, look at other channels both for and against and, provided you have a critical mind, you’ll see how the arguments will make it clear. get a mic though man… typing into your iMovie app is just not doing it.
@TheRiggedBA2 ай бұрын
["Since I am confident this is about tearing him down to build up LeBron..."] You would be incorrect. It's about tearing myths down to build up reality. ["Michael won every championship he was in...You know LeBron’s ability to join teams and his record in the finals so no point in reiterating."] It's extremely important to reiterate that only teams can win or lose Finals and therefore LeBron, Jordan and every other individual player all have the exact same record in the Finals: 0-0 ["You can find hard stats and competitive opinions to KNOW why that man played on a different level."] I'm well aware of what level Jordan played on and can form my opinions instead of going by someone else's. I'm also aware of players with better stats than Jordan and the context behind Jordan's stats. ["Between the lack of handchecking, palming, carrying, traveling and laxed defense as a whole, people think the 90s players would do even better."] If people don't know the facts or history and go by fabrications like hand-checking myths, then they can easily arrive at such misinformed conclusions. Especially if you don't understand the "illegal defense" restrictions of the 90s and how they, by design, made scoring considerably easier for star players. Or that we've already seen the removal of said illegal defense restrictions make 90s-style players virtually go extinct because their skills(or lack thereof) no longer worked against modern defenses. ["Did Michael need a team? Of course."] But Michael is spoken of and portrayed as though he didn't. Therein lies the problem. That's why you're using "record in the Finals"(a team accomplishment) to compare Jordan individually to other players. Your mind has obviously been conditioned to think in terms of Jordan personally winning by himself. ["Jump out of your little echo chamber where you guys regurgitate some vindicating talk to reinforce one another’s bias."] Interesting advice, considering that you're apparently forming opinions about Jordan based on outright Jordan glorification projects like _The Last Dance_ whose deliberate intent was to be biased for Jordan. ["I mean shit, did you watch The Last Dance”? The guy was a fucking nightmare to his own teammates."] And, thanks to the power of propaganda, I'm sure you feel that this is a good thing.

I am the BIGGEST Scottie Pippen fan and I’m not fooling myself to say he was the real reason they won, but I’m not gonna say he was dog shit. Michael is Superman and Scottie was Batman. Just like in the big fights everyone looked to Superman, but Batman was integral in different ways. TLD showed us Mike was a tyrant and Scottie was the protective big brother. They were the ying to each others yang. Just don’t strawman an argument, and if you genuinely see people who say he did It alone, just laugh because they know that’s not the case and so don’t you.

Arguably it’s greatest defender as well. The man could do it all. Even lead the league in assist at 7”2. Wilt IS unparalleled. GOAT athlete. 2x Champ 2x FMVP 4x MVP 12. Steph Curry - the games most prolific shooter and one of its greatest scorers. The only unanimous MVP and the first ever. The catalyst for the current style of NBA basketball. REVOLUTIONIZED the game forever. STILL GOING. Splash Bro. 4x Champ 1x FMVP 2x MVP 13. Isaiah Thomas - ZEKE. CP3 before CP3 but nastier and meaner. A warrior and one of the games greatest strategist and generals. Quietly a top5 passer. 2x Champ 2x FMVP 14. Oscar Robertson - the greatest all around basketball player ever. Could do everything at a AllNBA level. Changed the way players were interpreted and influenced generations. 1x Champ 2x MVP 15. Kevin Durant - the Slim Reaper is likely the most ideal offensive weapon ever. Can hit from anywhere, anytime over anyone. Hard to beat and impossible to match that level of offensive dominance. 2x Champ 2x FMVP 1x MVP 16. Julius Erving - The good Dr., the FIRST MJ (before Magic & Jordan), The icon and face of BOTH leagues that saved the game in the 70’s. Kareem was the best but Doc was a close 2nd. Underrated statistical brilliance. Was like a 6’7-6’8 Giannis but with a better jump shot. 3x Champ (1 NBA) 2x FMVP 4x MVP (1 NBA) 17.. Moses Malone - CHAIRMAN OF DA BOARDS. Arguably the best board getter… ever. Only Wilt, Russell, Rodman and Thurmond belong in the same discussion. Moses lead his people to the promise land more than once but was able to claim immortality in the early 80’s. His team lead by the dynamic duo of he and Doc dominated the league. Before Lakers v. Celtics it was 76ers v. Celtics-Lakers. 1x Champ 1x FMVP 3xMVP 18. John Havlicek - the GREAT one. MJ is 6-0. Ole Johnny is 8-0. The offensive force off the bench or starting that lead the dynastic Celtics to all 8. Early in his career he was akin to Jordan Poole role on Warriors 22’ team but better at everything but the 3 ball. Then in the late 60’s-70’s he sat in captains seat. His career is a unique mix. Played like Pippen with elite perimeter shooting/scoring, early career was early Kobe-esque, late career MJ/Kobe-esque. John’s game rose in the playoffs. 8x Champ 1x FMVP (likely 4x) 19. Giannis Antetokounmpo - it’s getting freaky… GreekMan is literally on the ride to potentially threatening Tim’s best PF title. Steph Curry before Steph. The man that built the LA franchise along Baylor post Mikan era. Jerry West was the blueprint skill base for players like Kobe, MJ, TMac, etc At 6’2-6’3 he torched his opponents his entire career and dropped plenty of dimes. The ORIGINAL combo guard. So damn great he LOST and still won FMVP… case closed. 1x Champ 1x FMVP 21. Nikola Jokic - the Joker is no damn joke. Genuinely a candidate for potential GOAT if his career pans out in the extreme positive like that of the top 10. Jokic is in a unique place being the greatest passing big statically NBA history (excluding Magic). If Jokic finds a way to fit more jewelry in his fingers, we might have to have a real discussion about that greatest Center of all time discussion. Yes. Yeah, they have no other option but to move the goal posts. Because ring logic is fake. It's not a real argument, so it can't be applied with any kind of coherence. Coincidently, one of the upcoming videos in the Jordan vs Jordan series is about ring culture and will be kind of like a prequel to this video.

In 91 finals Magic Johnson was in strange foul trouble In the 92 finals Duckworth, Robinson, Williams and others were in strange foul trouble In 93 Mark West and Charles Barkley in foul trouble And what happened in 92 knicks series game 7, plus 93 Knicks series games 3,4, and 5 Then improve the team (adding HOF Kukoc and HOF Rodman) To face the very young Sonics and two more chips against backcourt Stockton and Hornacek, with center Greg Ostertag 📯 What are the 6 chips worth🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅

I'll say this: The first championship was the easiest championship run I can think of for any team. The Pistons were decimated by age and injury, the Celtics were in a similar situation so the Bulls didn't have to face them. Then, after breezing to the Finals with no competition, the Bulls got a Lakers team with a retired Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, a Magic Johnson about to retire due to illness, their top scorer(James Worthy) injured before the series and missing games in the series, and Byron Scott also hurt and missing games, in-between going completely scoreless in games. As much as people pick and choose what value goes to what rings, it's amazing that this ring doesn't get called out more for how elitely weak it was.

@@TheRiggedBA Back to narratives ? 1. The age excuse doesn’t work as IT, Dumars and Rodman were all in their late 20’s 2. The fact that the Lakers made it to the Finals without Kareem shows that Kareem wasn’t that impactful for them. 3. Magic was 2nd in mvp voting and put up his typical Magic stat line except now he added a 3pt shot to his game 4. 91 isn’t impressive because the Lakers were a juggernaut. It was impressive because it was peak playmaking MJ . Dude averaged 8.4 assist during the playoffs and he almost out assisted the best passer of all time time in the Finals.

@@NothingElseMattersJM 1. 2nd oldest team in the nba (crazy how 3 guys don’t make the roster) and Isiah suffered a wrist injury to the point where he missed some time vs the Celtics the round prior 2. You still had no Kareem, no Wilkes, no Nixon, no Cooper, no Pat Riley, and an injured Worthy and eventual injured Scott. Literally every thing that made show time, show time, Jordan and the Bulls, didn’t have to see any of it other than soley Magic Johnson. The fact that the laker team only lost magic and they ended up 43 wins is proof that the team wasn’t impressive.

@@MrSlashblade “ Oldest team in the NBA” True but a noisy stat as 3 of the oldest players on the team didn’t play 40 games and barely played any minutes. How much does a healthy Isiah change a sweep ? Maybe they win one or two games. -Not sure about Kareem’s relevancy here . He retired in 1989. That’s two+ seasons without him of them winning 63 and 58 games respectively. Yup they lost Cooper but they added Vlade Divac. -I’m not sure what your final point is. You’re saying you would expect the Lakers to lose more than just Magic for them to go from 58 wins to 43 wins? That’s exactly what I would expect+ Worthy missing 28 games.
@NothingElseMattersJM2 ай бұрын
@bbbbbzzzzzzzzzz5431 -There’s no “strange foul trouble “ in the macro picture. You get in foul trouble when you can’t properly play defense. -Bulls added Kukoc and Rodman but they also lost Grant and Armstrong so no it wasn’t the team + new pieces. -What’s wrong with a backcourt of Stockton and Hornaceck ? Is it a skin color thing for you ?

When we say the mj is invisible, it means, when mj reach the top of the world, never got down or lose. Either when lose from Magic the 1995 playoffs series, the mj already lose the half season, because of baseball. Big approvement the next year, with mj full ready sweep the the very good team off Orlando Magic with O Neal and Penny Hardaway. Another big lie, the failure of mj with out Scottie Pippen. When the last sessons SP not playng because his contract issues with Bulls , Mj lift Succefully all wheght to cover the gap of SP and lead the team to many victorys. Opposite, when MJ retires, the Bulls dint won anything with SP, and others good players of Bulls. Stop saying imprecisiones, about the history off Nba. About who wins, Bulls 96 or Warriors, both are great- huge teams with own marks in history of Nba, and is difficult to compare. diffrent eras and rules. But Bulls 96 won the title, Warriors no. Its a fact.

So, basically, what you're saying is that Jordan was invincible because you don't count any of the losses. But every player is invincible if you don't count the losses. Making an excuse for a loss doesn't make the loss go away and an excuse can be made for every loss by anyone. If you're going to allow losses to be excused away for Jordan, then the same excuse standard has to applied to everyone else. There are players with much more valid excuses than some of the ones made for Jordan.

6:00 Can we city where this quote came from and when? This is fascinating and I'd like to investigate it further.
@TheRiggedBA2 ай бұрын
Those are three different quotes, separated by the hyphens. The first and last quotes are from the book "The Jordan Rules" and the second quote is from a 1987 _Sports Illustrated_ article. But all the quotes are statements from before the 1991 championship.
@bamboosho0t2 ай бұрын
@TheRiggedBA Got it, thanks! I didn't doubt its validity, but it's an important set of quotations as some would voraciously claim Jordan would never make such an utterance. And undoubtedly, others will want to know where it came from.
@TheRiggedBA2 ай бұрын
@@bamboosho0t No doubt. Jordan has made numerous such statements about needing more help and used to habitually throw his teammates under the bus in public, even during his Wizards years. The Jordan who never made excuses, never asked for other players, and felt confident that he could just win with anybody is a myth. That Jordan never existed.

A perfect analogy for Pippen/MJ to contrast their circumstances is that MJ is from the ghetto and Pippen was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. MJ joined a 19-63 Wizards team and a 27-55 Bulls team. Pippen joined a 40 win Bulls team with the best player in the league. Then he joined a Blazers team that was the 2nd seed in the Western Conference (35-15 lockout season). Just imagine any version of MJ joining a 2nd seen and that team not getting to the Finals ? We would say he was overrated but Pippen gets a pass and that’s because he had lower expectations than MJ as he should because he wasn’t as impactful.

Interestingly enough the one finals series bill russell lost was in 1958 when he had to miss games to injury, if not for that he's probably 12-0 in the finals over 13 seasons, and Jordan fans wouldn't be able to hang their hat on the perfect finals record
