I bought the same tree at Lidl last night for 5€. I want to do precisely the same, as shown here. However I would like to develop these long typical angkor wat tempe ruins roots. How would I do that though?

I plan on making a bench this spring following your instructions. What size were the boards? 1in x 6in? 1x8? I'm using composite decking boards. Length not important.

Great video! I love watching and learning. Adam, I would consider the dead wood at top of the tree emulating the "DORNER FIR" located in the state of Oregon. Attila, I would consider looking up the "MONKEY POD TREE" and emulating that shape over time. Whatever you guys choose, I'm sure it will be great. I can't wait to see the progress with time. Fascinating

When I changed my bonsai to another pot I used a water hose to spray off the dirt. Is that bad ,because it worked really well?

When you start airlayer? When the first leaves are there again in spring? Earlier? Later? How long before an apple roots? 8 weeks? Nice video again!

Okay straight to the point I’ve been wanting to start a bonsai and on the day I commented I found a small pine tree tree growing under a water spout my question would be is there a proper way to pull it out 😅 without possibly killing it and it’s about 5 inches tall really small and if I pull it out do I put it straight into dirt what do you recommend Thanks in advance

Good energy! Clear and simple. Would take issue with the long straight lines developing in a number of the prebonsai shown and associated explanations. One would assert a maple would look best with shorter, more interesting sections, vs a landscape type of trunk. Also would totally agree with the first comment which pointed out we do not normally wire deciduous branch’s downward, rather somewhat upward, increasing more and more up as the succeeding branches become the apex… ultimately developing the crown.

I like the robust nature of the azalea which makes it a good candidate for bonsai training - thank you for educating me on this matter. I feel confident pruning to the desired silhouette and overall shape with out killing the tree. Cheers.
