He drank wine at the wedding in cana. Even produced more wine for people to drink. He didn't eat pork, he was a jew which has foods laws Muslims don't follow I.e. rabbit and camel are forbidden to be eaten in judaism. Jesus also prayed looking up and prayed to the Father, also taught his followers to pray to the heavenly father. Allah is not a father in any sense so Jesus wasn't praying to him

Contradiction means when 2 sentences of a book are totally opposite to each other. Quran has already cleared his position that muslims believe jesus was not crucified and someone else was crucified and Jesus(PBUH) was raised so thats the belief of muslims it is not contradiction. u can't find any contradiction so u said crucifixion is in history and muslims are saying that Jesus(PBUH)was not crucified we believe that crucifixion was done but not of jesus but other person. How much sure are you and how do u know that the person who was crucified was Jesus (PBUH)....?

Out of respect and curiosity I watched your video and here is my response below. 1. Firstly, Sela cannot be referring to the Edom city since it does not fit into the context. If, for argument's sake, we're assuming that the servant in this verse is referring to Jesus, then the context would be talking about people singing for joy and shouting praises for Jesus. However this is extremely unlikely since these people would have to be firstly Arabs (as defined by Kedar), secondly Christians (since they are celebrating Jesus showing up), and thirdly inhabiting the area of Edom (which Arabs are not natively from). These 3 factors are an impossible combination as there are no historical records of such a group of people existing at that place. However, when referring to Sela in Medina, we literally have the recorded nasheed (song) that was sang for the Prophet Muhammad PBUH upon his arrival at Medina called 'Talaʽ al-Badru ʽAlayna'. This would be too much of a coincidence due to how it matches up perfectly, and therefore has to be the fulfillment of the prophecy in Isaiah 42. 2. Secondly, just because the word 'Lord' is used that doesn't mean that it is referring to God/Yahweh. The Bible uses the title of 'Lord' to refer to many people such as kings, fathers, husbands etc. in verses of Genesis. Therefore the title of Lord is to denote the level of respect this individual, particularly as a military leader which the Prophet PBUH was. More importantly, it's ridiculous to imply that Yahweh is marching out to war, stirring up his zeal and raising a battle cry like a footsoldier. It's very clearly talking about a human, and it's insulting to think that the almighty God needs to raise a battle cry to scare his foes. 3. Thirdly, Jesus says "I was sent ONLY to the lost sheep of Israel" in Matthew 15:24. The word 'Only' clearly and unambiguously means that he was sent to no other tribe. Now yes, he heals a gentile woman but only doing so reluctantly after initially refusing due to her being a gentile, (he also calls the same woman a dog 2 verses later). This discrimination between treatment of a Jew and Gentile clearly shows how one group is prioritised exclusively and the other group isn't even an afterthought. When Jesus says he is the light of the world, the word "world" doesn't necessarily refer to all of humanity but more likely to the entire Jewish community. This can be seen in other examples, such as Romans 4:13 where Abraham and his offspring (referring to Isaac) would be "heir of the world". Obviously Abraham and Isaac weren't actually heir to the entirety of humanity, but rather they were heirs to the Israelites. Another example is in John 12:19 where a Pharisee refers to the Jewish following of Jesus as "the whole world has gone after him". Also, the use of "nations" in Matthew 28:19 also doesn't necessarily refer to the gentiles. Rather it's referring to the scattered Jewish people living among the Gentiles since Jews were spread across the Roman Empire living in many different "nations". This verse just proves that Jesus is trying to reach the Jews living outside of Judea. This can be seen in Matthew 10:5-6 where Jesus send his 12 disciples out with the following instructions 'Do not go among the gentiles or enter any town of the samaritans. Go rather to the lost sheep of Israel.' 4. Fourthly, in this section you are being incredibly dishonest. When referring to Jesus you jump to a completely separate chapter of Isaiah and ignore the apparent meaning of the text, however when referring to Muhammad PBUH you inconsistently laser-focus onto the apparent meaning. You can't have it both ways, and i'm quite frankly disappointed in the lack in the consistency in your approach. Anyways, Jesus clearly cried out in a loud voice saying "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" to which any reasonable person would immediately say this contradicts Isaiah. As for "raising his voice in the streets", this clearly suggests someone who raises his voice when it is unnecessary and obtrusive such as in the marketplace. The Prophet PBUH only raised his voice when it was necessary and beneficial to the Muslims such as during sermons and when delivering warnings. Why did you conveniently ignore the "in the streets" part? 5. Finally, the word "Torah" is most often translated as "law" in the Bible. One clear example is John 1:17 where "Law" is used interchangeably with "Torah". The Greek word for "law" here is "nomos", which is the Greek translation of the Hebrew word "Torah". Also it fits with the context of the verse since it literally says "till he has established justice in the Earth". Justice can only be achieved through application of law, and swapping out this correct term for instruction/teaching wouldn't make sense. The act of teaching someone doesn't inherently lead to justice since people can always reject teachings freely. However, people cannot reject the law without consequences and so no term other than "law" fits here.

Thank you for watching it! I appreciate you taking the time. Honestly I'm working on a bunch of other stuff right now so I won't give you an exhaustive response. I can respond to the Sela point succinctly. Every scholarly commentary on this verse (and I mean every) says, Isaiah in verses 10-12, is just saying the whole world will praise because of the servant. That is the only claim being made. The verses are not saying he will have a relation to the Arabs or Kedar or Sela, all he is doing is naming 4 directions or locations to paint the picture... the whole world, from the east to the west will praise because of the servant. Does that include Kedar? Sure, but it also includes the coast lands and islands, was Muhammad from there? Of course not, this is absurd. Isaiah is poetically saying "the whole world will praise". There is zero historical evidence that Sela is near Medina. Scholars say it is in Edom because the only other mention of it is in 2 Kings which places it there. You have yet to provide a shred of historical evidence for Sela being in Medina. I'm trying to be generous here but what Muslim apologists are doing with Isa. 42:10-12 is disgusting. The worst and most dishonest exegesis I have ever seen (apart from Muhammad being in Song of Solomon 5:16 I guess lol). I will save your longer comment in my notes though, so next time I talk about Isa. 42 I will reflect more on what you've said. I can tell you take truth seriously, so thank you.

Thanks for the quick response, and I'd like to say that out of all the Christian debaters I've interacted with, you've been by far the most civil and respectful. I did find one scholarly source by someone called Taha Soomro. I've linked it at the bottom of this comment and I would appreciate it if you gave it a look, just as I took the time to respond to you. But as a quick point on Sela, the context of Verse 11 only works if it's in Medina. For argument's sake if it were in Edom, you'd have to find a group of extremely rare Arab Christians living in Edom in the 1st century, to demonstrate that this event occurred or else it's a failed prophecy. There are a lot more hoops you'd have to jump through to make the context of the verse work under your interpretation. Whereas, we have Hadiths that record the exact lyrics of the song that was sung to the Prophet PBUH as he arrived in Medina which fits the context of verse 11 like a glove. It is too much of a coincidence to not be referring to Isaiah 42:11, especially considering how the rest of the evidence builds upon it (eg bringing new law, going to war, preaching to gentiles etc.) www.academia.edu/27211948/The_Prophet_Mu%E1%B8%A5ammad_and_Isaiah_42

@@avaizadil1095 I appreciate that! You keep jumping to "Arab Christians" or some connection to Arabs. Are you saying this because Kedar is mentioned? This is the mistake, the passage itself is not connecting Kedar and Sela. It starts with the ends of the earth, then the coastlands, then Kedar, then Sela - it's not saying these places are next to each other. It is highlighting the ocean, and the mountains, and the dessert, etc. The Author is poetically saying the whole world will praise. He is not highlighting a specific location with "the servant will come from here". Again, I don't say this to just appeal to authority but it must be stated, my interpretation is the natural interpretation adopted by the vast majority of scholars. There's a reason no ancient Jews interpreted this section as the servant coming from Arabia in some way. I read the source you sent (thank you by the way, I will save this article for future reference). His argument about v11 seemed to be "we don't know which Sela but it might be the Medinan one because of the mention of Kedar." In other words, he somehow thinks Kedar is giving us a clue to where Sela is. Again, the text doesn't entail that in any way. The ONLY ancient evidence we have for ancient Sela is in Edom (or elsewhere in the Jordan). Then he jumps to modern Muslim sources who say this must be the mountain in Medina... but this is like using google maps to do ancient history. You (or other Muslims) need to provide ancient evidence (not from the Quran or Hadiths written thousands of years after these events) that Sela is a mountain in Medina, and then prove this passage is somehow pin pointing that specific Sela. So, I can see where you're seeing a connection, I just think it's because Muslims have a prior faith commitment they are reeeeally stretching things to force Muhammad into this passage.

5 REASONS WHY ISAIAH 42 CANNOT BE ABOUT JESUS, BUT ABOUT MUHAMMAD ﷺ 1. Verse 6: “I will make you a light for the gentiles” - Jesus (AS) was only sent to the lost sheep of Israel (Matthew 15:24) - Muhammad ﷺ was sent to the Arabs who are gentiles. 2. Verse 2 “He will not shout or cry out” - According to Christians, Jesus cried for help on the cross - Muhammad ﷺ never cried out in such a humiliating way 3. Verse 10 “Sing to the Lord a new song” - Matthew 5:17 says Jesus came to fulfill the previous law, not to bring a new law - Muhammd ﷺ brought new law through revelation. The way the Quran is recited is also melodic like a song. 4. Verse 13 “Like a warrior he will stir up his zeal… and triumph over his enemies” - Jesus never went to war - Muhammad ﷺ took part in many wars, and gaining victory over the pagans multiple times 5. Verse 11 “Let the settlements where Kedar lives rejoice” - Kedar refers to the second son of Ishmael, and thus refers to his descendents which are the Arabs.

You know nothing of the Qur'an. The Qur'an says Jesus's (peace be upon him) crucification didn't happen but it was made to appear so. So obviously historians will think and record that he was crucified. Therefore, the Qur'an is consistent with history. And the Qur'an also says Jesus will die. But after he returns. You've made two claims, and none of them contradict the Qur'an.

Unless the Quran provides evidence that Jesus didn't die, it should be called an error. Imagine I randomly say "it appeared that Argentina won the World Cup in 2020, but they didn't... it just appeared that way" - it would be absurd to listen to that. Making a random claim that contradicts history required the burden of proof. Muslims need to prove this happened (or rather, that it did not happen).
@MR-qj1bo
@MR-qj1bo 4 күн бұрын
@daxvanderwal firstly, your argument now is totally different to your argument in the video. Do you accept now that the Qur'an does not contradict history with the claims it makes? Whether those claims are true is a different question, but the claim itself is consistent with history. Second, we don't need to provide evidence of every claim in the Qur'an. We just need to provide sufficient evidence that the Qur'an is from God, and then everything it contains must be true regardless of whether you can prove each claim directly. For example, both the Qur'an and Bible claim that Angels exist. We however can't directly show you that Angels exist but we believe they exist because the Qur'an (and for you the Bible) have shown they are true. Therefore, you just need to find proof that the Qur'an is from God to accept its claim that Jesus (peace be upon him) wasn't crucified. For that proof, I would point you to just one example here. @ if the Quran is saying Jesus wasn't crucified, then yes this is false and contradicts history. I agree with your logic in the second paragraph, I just don't see any compelling (and non-fallacious) reasons to accept the Quran as a miracle. Muhammad contradicted the previous prophets, therefore he cannot be a prophet. Simple as that. Jesus said that even false prophets can do miracles, so any perceived miraculousness of the Quran falls flat.

Quran clearly confirms Jesus Crucifixion... [Quran 4:157] And for their saying, "We have killed the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, the Messenger of God." In fact, they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him, BUT IT APPEARED TO THEM AS IF THEY DID . Indeed, those who differ about him are in doubt about it. They have no knowledge of it, except the following of assumptions. Certainly, they did not kill him. Very sound and clear states it appeared to them as if they did ... A Fact ... For the saying they did not kill or crucify Jesus is also true ... As No one can Kill or Crucify the Branch of God ... Jesus sacrificed His self for our sin and let His self be crucified . As the ultimate sign of Mercy of God . As He's own words also confirms ... John 10:17-18 KJV [17] Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. [18] No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father. God is no God of Confusion.. Religion is ... Ready or not .. Jesus is coming back.. And that is not Mohammad...

I don't even think a Muslim apologist would be that blind on purpose. You do realize Muhammad was historical right? You do realize the Hadith literature is historical right? Well hey, it's always corrupted so let's make sure to throw out any hadith and sirah on the life of Muhammad, sounds good to me. 2. this is where it gets fun. we both know the Quran affirms the inspiration and preservation of the Bible. There's no way around it. The Quran says the Bible is authoritative and points Jews and Christians back to their scriptures (in the 7th century, and we have today what they had then). It seems you're trying really hard to score points, but it's clear you don't want truth. Maybe you're just afraid of change, not sure. Yes, I know you guys dont consider catholics Christian but does not mean he is not a Trinitarian lol. 3. And the references to OT are even more lolsome. 4. To the point about Quran. Quran has 3 things. Things known at the time (eg. jewish christian beleifs). Things not known but becomes clear later (eg: merging of the oceas, big bang, pulsing star). And things unknown still. Jesus will be in the last category that will only be revealed upon his reappearance. Something that is not revealed does not equate to contradiction.

many things are "possible", but what is plausible? the evidence points the opposite way of Islam, so why would we accept the Quranic claim 600 years later? and yes as you mention, why would Allah deceive knowing it would lead to Christianity the largest religion in the world. He made it so that if someone genuinely follows the historical evidence, they will not accept Islam. If Allah deceives in this way how do we know he's not deceiving in other ways, etc. I'm not sure what early Christian group you're talking about but let me know if you find it. He reads a fragment from a letter by Ignatius of Antioch that he writes while being taken to Rome and in which he condemns a certain heretical group that doesn't believe in the crucifixion. Now, apart from that video, in that channel there are many lengthy discussions about early christianiy with people like Ali Ataie, Louay Fatoohi, James Tabor and others with an academic background. You did a great job responding to popular muslim apologists' claims about Islam's prophet being mentioned in the Bible, as their arguments were, as you said, really bad, and you clearly are far beyond their level. @ the Quran affirms the message that Jesus received and taught to his disciples. I’m certain God didn’t give Jesus 4 incongruent biographies… of Jesus. And I’m very certain God didn’t give Jesus messages in Greek. If we are to take gospels by anonymous authors as evidence then we should include ALL the evidence and weigh apocryphal gospels which include at least 2 that also say that Jesus was not crucified (Barnabus and Thomas). The two non biases sources are actually biased. Romans have more to gain confirming the insurrectionist leader king of the Jews was killed rather than admitting they’re uncertain if it was truly the correct person. False confirmation supports the image of a strong empire/society serving as propaganda. My modern day example: black men found guilty of crimes they did not commit. The people of that time like modern day needed to feel good they got somebody not necessarily the actual perpetrator.

I once watched a video of Ahmed Deedat on the part about ‘Mohammedim’. He posited that the ‘im’ added in the end is basically a pluralisation that is used to convey respect in Hebrew. It’s similar to “We” that you often see in the Quran when referring to God. Secondly, your mention of Makmad pronunciation is probably only from linguistic nuances. For example, some French words with ‘ch’ are pronounced as sh, but in English ch could be pronounced as ‘k’ as in ‘chaos’ or ch as in ‘church’.

In 1:25 the answer that we should give to "If the Quran said that God is a trinity, would you accept it?" I believe the correct answer is yes, as the verse 81 of chapter 43 (Al-Zokhrof) says: «Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “If the Most Compassionate ˹really˺ had offspring, I would be the first worshipper.”» And the 4rd verse of chapter 39 (Al-Zommar) also poses the question of God having a son: «Had it been Allah’s Will to have offspring, He could have chosen whatever He willed of His creation. Glory be to Him! He is Allah-the One, the Supreme.» It's something that one can only know through revelation, so once he trusts the message he accepts what the message says about that

About the argument of the paraclete in 4:40 I think I understood it a bit differently although probably it doesn't change much, but I think the argument was that the Greek word Paraclete itself means "the praised one", and he didn't mean the "original" Aramaic word which is indeed nowhere to be found, and he only said Aramaic inadvertently, and whoever made the slide in 13:50 also carried that error. I say that because I heard another small preacher also making the same argument after investigating it independenty from naik and asking a Greek linguist he knew.
