He was an incredible man! I do remember him quickly chastising us at the end of service when we got some very loud😂 He hushed us. ❤ He was incredibly intelligent and did know the word of God backwards and forward. He was so kind with all the people. I have to say that I miss him very much. Do I think he was a living saint? Yes. ☦️❤️

The more I learn about Archbishop Dmitry, the more I realize how special he was. Everyone who speaks about him loved him. I prayed to him recently when we were searching for a parish home and he helped us even though we never knew him personally. I think he is in heaven praying for us all.

Glory to God My parish has a fresco icon of Dmitry of Dallas (Halo, but no "St.") in our altar area, just through the South Door.

There's a Fr Hopko talk online about CS Lewis 'Abolition of Man'. I think its given in Dallas. Its an excellent talk, classic Hopko, and theres more than one copy floating around. In that talk Fr Tom says: "Anybody can be Metropolitan; go to Dallas and become a saint!" I believe it was Jonah who was ordained and enthroned as Metropolitan. (And who helped heal the rift between OCA and ROCOR. If the Ortho-newbies out there think the jurisdictional situation is a mess now...I know you remember this Dr Herman. I write it for those who missed all the fun! Heh heh.)
