U dont have sweet corn plates for the JDD? I got SC, large flats, Med flats, rounds, Milo and bean plates for my OLD 2 row IHC steel wheel 2 row planter. Looks like a horse planter, other than having a trip mech.

IF thats a wooden wheel wagon, u might shoulda used square head bolts. I usta restore implements and I had a source for square head bolts and nuts
@OzziesOddities4 ай бұрын
You're right that would have been much more authentic. I'll tell ya, even the regular old hardware store bolts to do this were very expensive. I was kinda shocked.

@OzziesOddities4 ай бұрын
Hi you too, hope you've been well. I haven't been on the Fordson. If I get too puzzled with something I just go work on something else. I've gotten a few maytags going, and a McCormick. All stationary engines, and I did finish that M, got some of it on video. And I'm trying to put together the WC after some engine work.

What is the name of this sheller and grinder? Love the video. So relaxing and I formative at the same time.
@OzziesOddities7 ай бұрын
Thank you. The grinder is an enterprise. I don't run across them too much. That sheller doesn't have name on it. I actually cleaned up two sheller for my son to offer up to Etsy for people who want to grind their own chicken meal and birdseed. One is a little giant but this one is simalar to the one in the video, oiled up and ready to go: www.etsy.com/listing/1661830820/antique-hibbard-spencer-corn-sheller?click_key=4b848f9f7f6a3e0ceefd96a0a613bf8c10071a9c%3A1661830820&click_sum=5e5d5075&ref=shop_home_active_9&frs=1&cns=1

Like you, I started early with my grandad. The sheller had a trough to lay a doz or so ears. It was an IHC also Grandpa would give the flywheel a spin and I was expected to keep it going after that. He would keep putting in ears and I kept getting slower and slower, and i thought , )dangit granpa, quit feeding it and let me catch up)
