biden will rescue us. build back better with biden. Trump could only offer $2/gallon gas, low inflation, no new wars, secure border and energy independence. biden with his 50 years as a politician has the experience to keep us in new wars, keep inflation high, and keep the border open.

Honestly how do dealerships selling used cars with high miles and problems for high prices that you buy then have problems and now it becomes a money pit even newer cars you buy something brand new and still have to put money into it

Introduce a bill that governs the pay of elected officials, they make a set cap and it affects their housing and staff. THEY need to hurt when WE hurt. Until then... y'all are playing checkers and THEY are playing with OUR lives !

The reason they can't afford that 4,500$ car is because it isn't just 4,500. It is whatever the repair costs with that car is going to be. You might get 30k miles from it maybe less maybe more who the hell knows at this point. Guy selling rotted lemons in a lemon shop, complaining people don't want his lemons............

Lots of good information here. But based off a few things and knowing the auction your at shows me you're shooting for the views. Yes, the information your saying is close to accurate. The auction you are at is a junk auction. Got to Statesville, Carolina, and Darlington all those will show you better repo cars. Of course, everything is higher due to more cars being on the road. But I personally buy 2-300 cars a month from auctions all around you. Not all the cars are as bad as the one you're showing.

You use the phrase, money is not going to change hands as often. What immediately hit my brain when you said that is that the way government is financed is through taxation of financial transactions. That includes income taxes from wages being paid, it includes sales taxes, etc. So what you're saying is government, both Federal and local, is going to take a huge hit. And their responses never good. And they have a lot of guns. 😒

I have four cars that all run really well, but they all have over 100,000 mi on them. And three of them are either just under or over 200,000 mi so I will eventually have to get another car. However, I'm waiting for the law of supply and demand to kick in. When I can get one of those $90,000 trucks for more like $20,000, then I'll seriously look into it. But in the meantime, I have a nice shop where I can do all the repairs I need myself to to keep these things going on as long as possible. Add a push comes to shove, for long trips we've rented cars more than once. Obviously they're all fully paid for. As is everything i own. Debt is poison.

Best thing I did was sell my RAV4 at a profit and buy a 2014 Sienna for $3,000. Not pretty, needed some tinkering, but I don’t have a car payment, and insurance is $325 a year.

I purchased a 14 Ford F150 5.0 STX 2 years ago for $19.000 (Cash)* looks like it just came off the production line, NO Dings NO Rock CHIPS SO Perfect, Garaged. My best friend lives next door to this guy and he said he only drove it at night,(Don't know why)* 59K miles. It would be a cold day in hell before id spend the high prices for a truck these days. Good deals are out there, you just have to DIG DEEP to find them...Not easy but they are there. Why buy NEW when USED will do.

Got a brand new 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee L with 35 miles on it and 1,000 miles in had to have the rack and pinion replaced, paint is already chipping in the front and my glass cracked on our first road trip, twice. My cloth seats are already fraying, worst decision.

There's something even more disturbing than the horrific economy. It's personal responsibility for there finances. STOP signing up for a stupid car payment. Especially the one's you can't afford. If you sign up for a car payment and don't pay cash for it you are by definition BROKE!

These repoed cars need to be sold and I suspect that they are going to be cheap. A buyers market for those that do have money. Grewing up my family never had a new car, they where used cars. It worked. Wouldn't it be possible to make some kind of deal to voluntarily turn in a car before it get repoed? Some kind of "self repo" cutting out the repo service. Make the deal good enough so that taking care of the car is worthy. They would still loose the car if they cannot afford it but on better terms. Matbe a deal to trade in the unaffordable car for a cheaper one? Or perhaps keep the car as a rental?

These dealerships should be put out of business, and the owners should be charged with felonies. I am done with stealerships. It is time for direct buying from manufacturers.

A person could go to a junk yard, buy an old wreck, do all the repairs and restoration. And still have a decent vehicle that can be driven for years for a small fraction of the cost of a new one. A fool and his money are soon parted.

THIS IS ALL BULLSHIT BECAUSE OUR SSN TRUSTS PAY FOR EVERYTHING. THERE ARE NO "LOANS" BECAUSE WE ARE THE CREDITORS. THE BANKS AND CORPORATIONS USING OUR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER HAVE A "MASTER ACCOUNT" WITH THE TREASURY. WITH A NEGOTIABLE INSTRUMENT WE PAY IN FULL WITH FUNDS FROM THE SSN ACCOUNT. UNTIL THE AUTO INDUSTRY AND BANKS/CORPORATIONS FINALLY ADMIT TO THIS FRAUD AND COME CLEAN (I LAUGH WHEN WRITING THAT) WE'RE GOING TO BE MIRED IN THIS DEBT SLAVERY SYSTEM. PLAIN AND SIMPLE... I SUGGEST YOU LOOK INTO MY CLAIMS BEFORE YOU SAY IM WRONG.

If you are wiling to pay $95,000 for a depreciating liability such as a car/truck, then you need to have your head examined! Let the manufacturers and the dealers sit on these overpriced junkers. Give it a year or two. Maybe they will regain their sanity, that is if they are still in business. These dealer mark-ups are criminal! One last thing: never buy a repossessed car at a repo auction unless you want to lose your shirt! Bidenomics in action!

Some people don’t know that the bank can simply consider the debt paid off and then send the person who defaulted a 10-99 for the amount to report that payoff as income. Imagine thinking you got away with not paying much for an overpriced $200,000 Hellcat, defaulting and then getting hit for taxes on almost the full amount for that very same year... Whatcha gonna do when the IRS comes for you?
