I'll try to make them today. I'll have to improvise, since I can't find brown sugar where I'm at.

@BakeLikeAPro3 күн бұрын
Hi Elizabeth 🙂 Wow, cream cheese is an interesting addition. In my other banana bread recipe ( which is also on my KZbin channel ) I use sour cream. Yeah the cream cheese is interesting. I won't be trying it, as cream cheese up here in Canada costs almost as much as a brick of gold these days hahaha. Thanks so much for watching.

@BakeLikeAPro5 күн бұрын
Hi Sherry 🙂 Thanks so much for watching. I know I'm going to get a lot of heat for using raisins, but that's life. I used to love chocolate chips in oatmeal cookies - about 20 years ago, but now I just don't enjoy them. In a chocolate chip cookie, I LOVE 'em.... strange eh ? how things change. It's the same with little butter tarts ( very small pecan tart like thingies ) ( I love raisins in those ) - but most I think don't. It's a good recipe if you like tons of oatmeal. The browning on these is insanely good. U could break these cookies up and use it as a topping for ice cream. Wow wow wow. Thanks so much again for watching Sherry ! 🙂

No, there ARE raisins. Remember it's a big world out there, many love raisins LOL. I know it's a taboo topic.... me ? as a kid I loved chocolate in them, now I really don't. It's strange how our tastes change over time.

Place your dough into the fridge for 10 minutes, this will make it firm enough to roll again.

Can I use a hand mixer, don’t have a stand mixer/processor; thank you so much. Beautiful receipt
@BakeLikeAPro5 күн бұрын
Hello, you can try using a hand mixer, - be very careful you do not burn it out, this type of batter is super thick. You may wish to just use a big wooden spoon, - or, if you wish to use your hand mixer, divide the batter into 3 bowls and mix it like this, then put it all back into one bowl at the end, this will ensure your don't over-work your electric hand mixer. Thanks so much for watching ! 😊

What if I make this in small loaf pans how long would the baking time be and can I cook all four pans together?
@BakeLikeAPro5 күн бұрын
Hi Rachel, this really depends on what "small" means. If you are talking about those super mini pans that are about the same size as a muffin, then they are going to be about the same baking time, if you are going larger, the time will increase, but not by too much. It really depends on the size are bake them in.

Can you put anything on top of banana muffins instead of walnuts?as I'm new to your channel your videos look really easy not like some where its drawn out im going to try your recipe for banana loaf/cake ive had two disastrous attempts so far 🎉
@BakeLikeAPro16 күн бұрын
Hello, first... thanks so much for watching Mike ! To answer your question, you can just add nothing to the top, it really doesn't matter. If you don't like walnuts, try pecans, if you don't like pecans, don't add anything. You'll love these even if they are nut free. Try the newer banana loaf video, the thumbnail has a little yellow rectangle on it, that's the newer one and is very simple. It went viral last year and people love it from the hundreds and hundreds of comments on it. That recipe for the banana bread is here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fIPMcqyFiM-SqdEsi=ftg2ChCb2EJOHLHD

I know this video is 9 years old but I just ordered this mixer and your video was perfect in showing all its features. Hope your mixer is still going strong with no issues. I have had the 7qt pro-line but unfortunately they discontinued and one thing I loved about that model is that you could even beat one egg white as well as 8. Would love to know how good this mixer is on smaller portions. Do you know?
@BakeLikeAPro16 күн бұрын
Hi Nancy ! It’s still going strong after all these years! 🙂 This mixer is OK with smaller recipes, it just depends on how small you mean. I have used it on large recipe and smaller ones with success. The machine still looks brand new. I can't believe I've had that for 9 years... that makes me feel super old ! ouch. Thanks so much for watching ! 😊
