This song is so incredibly overdone, but you managed to make it sound a bit fresh. Kudos. This was like THE song that solidified in me when I was a kid that I would need to make covers of vgm someday.
@thesosomusician3 сағат бұрын
Thanks! That's always the tough thing on some of these tunes that are so heavily covered, is it just a copy of a copy, is it doing anything? Sometimes I just don't think about everything that's out there and I just decide, I've always wanted to play this one, let me just do it the way I want it to sound in my head! Definitely a foundational vg tune for me, I remember borrowing this game as a kid, being stuck on the 2nd stage for what felt like forever, and finally getting to the 3rd stage and hearing this tune with the heavy blue coloring of the stage, it was like, how crazy is this game?!

"Excuuuuse me, Princess!" 😆 I'm from Spain and this cartoon was on TV during 1994, I was so dissaponted 'cause the show broke the image I had of Zelda series, "why Link is so ugly?!?" 😅 Now I feel somekind of affection towards it 😬 Man, another GREAT cover!!!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Love the bass sound.
@thesosomusician10 күн бұрын
It's hilarious, I'd caught the Zelda and Super Mario Bros cartoons on The Super Marios Super Show when it was originally on, and I never noticed the excessive Excuuuuse me Princess catch phrasing! There's a montage of it on YT, I highly recommend checking it out! Thanks, I'm experimenting with adding synth bass to beef up the low end of the bass when the bass lines aren't too tough to learn on a keyboard. Blends pretty well if I don't crank the synth too much.

Dude this is awesome, how did you find the time to play guitar, bass AND drums? Especially since this track doesn’t seem easy for any of the instruments tbh.
@thesosomusician17 күн бұрын
Cheers!! I've been playing drums in bands for about 28ish years, and I started playing guitar at about the same time, but I never played in any bands on guitar. This channel was kind of a way to force me to practice guitar and bass alot more because I always felt I should be able to play those instruments better, and putting it out on the internet definitely forces you to practice harder! I started playing keyboards for the channel too, and learning audio engineering, and it's all super fun! Glad you dug this cover! I'm always trying to put something new out a few times a month, who knows where the ceiling is?!

The DD3 soundtrack is surprisingly good, I think it's a little underrated because the game quality itself was a little dodgy compare to the first two. This tune is particularly good, with both Egypt tunes and the Italy tune being pretty noteworthy too! The Mummies and Cleopatra at the end were a beast to figure out how to beat before the internet, I've watched some speedruns and almost got angry how easy they are when you know the trick to them!

I actually fell off In Flames after Clayman, Reroute to Remain didn't connect to me although on a recent revisit, I found it was more the production than the song quality that bothered me. I checked out the 3 newest records and thought they were pretty decent, but I haven't checked out Come Clarity yet. Probably will be a bit before I do another In Flames tune but I gotta check out Come Clarity!
@thesosomusicianАй бұрын
Just checked out Leeches, gotta be good at singing to do that one!!! The solo section in that one is particularly good, cool tune!
