I appreciate the video but it's not very helpful. Hard to see what's going on and I started from the wrong side of the frame even though I have 8

Been stringing with this since the early 90s. Back when the Kangaroo was their mascot. Nothing has changed in the kit. Simple and gets the job done. ❤

I am a casual player so I just carry two in my bag. But I have a few rackets in my collection (mostly collectible ones - Dunlop Revelation 200g midplus, Prince Original Graphite 90 series, Wilson ProStaff original 6.0 95). I love old rackets and sometimes use them.

If you had to choose between stringing on this machine or a Prince Neos 1000 for the rest of your life, which would you choose and why?

That's what I'm wondering too. And also how big they are in comparison to most eCP machines.

What version restringing machine is that everyone would require to have one in order to restring it but unfortunately, I was told that they do not have the restringing devices for the 2000 more just for modern versions unless you happen to know where to purchase one

Great video, thanks! One question as a beginner, when starting the crosses, is it not necessary to pull tension on the first cross? You can pull tension on the second cross and it does both crosses? I see this a lot but I don’t understand if this is the reasoning.

Doc, hoping you can shed some light on what the weighting system is for most racquetball manufacturers as I have spent a lot of time, including calls directly to manufactures, in trying to learn what is meant by (Example) “2-points head heavy” . What is a point ? Just recently I’ve seen a racquet listed as 223mm head heavy and one read 223 head light ? Thanks again.
@racquetology
@racquetology 3 ай бұрын
I for sure can help with this question. The mm distance is a measurement from the bottom of the butt cap to the balance point of a racquet ; the head points measurement is the distance from the balance point 1/8 an inch in either direction. Depending on how far away it is from the middle of the racquet will determine how headlight or head heavy a frame is. For Example a racquet ball racquet will be 22 inches or 55.88 cm long so even balance would be 11 inches or 27.94 cm ; so if a racquet is 2 points head heavy it would be 11.25 inches or 28.58 cm - 285.8mm

Stringin a T-2000 wasn't that difficult.. you just had to anchor the first string at the yoke, and then circle the damn thing..

What I hated about, but lamented that racquet was the need to have at least 5 of them at the time.. I played with that racquet for more than 5 years between '75-80' when I was a junior and National Team Player... and it certainly was the best one I've ever played (still to this day) with! My best results came with that stick made of steel. I've played in national and international tournaments with that stick. But I had to learn how to string the damn thing at home; cause I busted the strings every week. (mind you in the seventies) In 6 years, I broke maybe 16 of them (metal fatigue), since I strung them at 60 pounds... but they were both powerful and accurate... They had both a lot of feel and the effect of a god..amn trampoline!

wow,this is just what I'm looking for. Just quick question,for this type of crank stringing machine, do I need to set a few lbs higher in order to get more precise tension? For example, if my goal tension is 52/50, do I need to set, say, 54/52 in the machine? Does that make any sense? Many thanks!

What you say about starting crosses from the top makes sense, but do you do that even if the manufacturer specifies a pattern that starts crosses at the bottom? Wouldn't that also be a warranty issues?

Hello there, sorry for asking a beginner question. May I know how to set the tension on the machine as there's only 0, 1 and 2 on the gauge knob. What does the number on the knob represent? Thank you.

Hello Racquetology I am sorry to hear about the problem with the locking system. The good thing is that it should be easy to solve. The reason for the problem is that the locking bar moves upwards too slowly because of friction in the movement. Please test how fast the locking bar moves upwards when you push the knob down. If it is slow the shaft may be bent. Let me know so that we can solve this simple problem.

If the bar isn't locking when returned to position you probably need to clean the engagement surface on the block. Of course, if you email Fred Timmer he'll tell you the exact things to look at if you have any kind of problem; he's been selling this basic design for decades and knows it inside and out.
