Having a Japanese mother, we had rice available at every meal, even if we had mashed potatoes. My preference was if we ever had beef or bird (fried chicken, roast beef, chicken-fried steak) I preferred the gravy on potatoes. When we had roast pork, though, that gravy went on rice. I think that could be because my mom used soy sauce as a browning agent in the pork gravy, but that could just be a coincidence.

Just as an observation... The cream cheese dough, and the jam/jelly filling, is a version created in America right? Traditional rugelach is a plain butter pastry dough with chocolate most often, correct?

The president misses the point when he says Paul Quinn was not a "pipeline to the NFL." Football provides and opportunity for college students, often young black men, to access higher education. Leadership develoment, builidng emotional resilience and character in students outweighs feeding the Dallas Cowboys. Sad the program was terminated, hope it returns one day under a leader who understands it's value and does not beleive a small college football pogram should be about winning games and creating NFL players.

Can you please tell me where I can order cinnamon sticks like this? Many years ago, an acquaintance brought us one and said it came from the Chinese restaurant he worked in. We don’t know where that restaurant was and have searched in every place we could think of, including online, but zero luck. Your video is the only thing I have found so far that makes me feel like I’m not the only human in the world that has seen this. Thank you for sharing!

Now if you spoke simple english the way Julia wrote her cook books, people would understand you are talking about Beef cooked in red wine. Buf 😅 French is lovely, but Julia used english, for a reason. She was a wonderful Chef.

LOL Okay another chef that thinks that pepper seeds are spicy! SMH Andrea, there is zero capsaicin in pepper seeds. The most capsaicin is in the pith that holds the seeds which is why people like yourself get confused.

Wow this video is from 2012, I was going to rip into the mic situation but I'm sure they've figured it out by now. Shotgun mics are designed to be used from a distance... they have a boom pole for one of the mics, it should be overhead (facing down) above the frame and there is no need for the host to hold one.
