Thanks for this solid review. I have the 22 inch but I need a larger one for larger and multiple briskets. This review sold me. I’m definitely getting the 26 one now.

This looks great! Two questions please. 1 how open do you set the top and bottom vents, 2 what internal temperature do you want for legs and breast? Thank you?

I'm trying to like my Kitchenaid slow cooker, but it takes FOREVER to cook anything. I know it's supposed to cook slowly, but mine takes it to the extreme. I cooked a 4 pound beef roast for 12 hours, and it still wasn't done. Chicken seems to cook okay, but beef and pork are tough and sometimes take so long to cook, I just give up.

Montreal is the GOAT. I almost exclusively use it these days with maybe a few herbs and extra garlic, phenomenal for this Christmas's rib roast. Mouth is salivating thinking about it.

If you had seared your meat in that hot pan after removing the onions it would have been a lot more tender FYI!

in looking online the weber thermometer appears to have a tab on the back - and on the unit you installed there appears to be no tab. Can you list the part number you used or how to deal with the tab on the back which would prevent the unit from mounting flush to the lid?

Don't own the griddle for my Weber 325S (yet) but sounds like a great comparison. I believe with the slightly saltier steak on the griddle i would offset it with less salt and more herbs to hold those flavors together. I also love grate steaks with the smokieness from the fat rendering comes more smoke..Thanks for the video.

My husband recently passed away and his Weber Q fell off the deck and the lid cracked. I am sure I heard him sigh from heaven 🤣. Is there any way to repair it, or am I better off replacing it. Many thanks.

I'm from Brazil and your videos definitely gave me the extra "courage" to buy a Q1200. I always grilled on traditional charcoal grills, but now I'm living in an apartment and the smoke is a big deal to me, so I was looking for some alternative options. Tks for the tips and keep up with the amazing content!

So poking gains no benefit. Non poke seams like it gains a benefit of less chance of splitting the casing.

Heat your grill a little more in the beginning so your Kamado absorbs the heat fully before you shut it down to 225/250. If you want to cook at 250 degrees, it's ok if your grill hits 300 degrees as it gets going. Just shut it down to where you want it and the heat will drop, but your grill will be fully heated. It takes time for the Kamado to absorb the full amount of heat to where it holds it and cooks better. Ribs look awesome.

Hi could one of the probes be used to monitor the ambient temperature inside the smoker thanks

@@GallaghersGrub What happend when you tryed to use one of the probes for ambient temp ? was the smoker temp to high and it fryed the probe ?
@AlexeyDneprАй бұрын
If I put the probe in the oven without sticking it into the meat. And the temperature in the oven is 400 degrees Fahrenheit, will it ruin the probe? Will the internal sensors or even the entire microcircuit and battery of the probe be ruined?
@GallaghersGrubАй бұрын
Yes, I broke two probes doing exactly that, but in a grill.

I wish you would have given directions on how and when to add the potatoes if you cook them on the grill.
@GallaghersGrubАй бұрын
I was actually caught off guard on how quickly the duck cooked. I would probably parboil the potatoes, and put them under the duck when a bit of duck fat starts dripping into the pan.
@virzakАй бұрын
Can you cook ribs with them? Also how do you measure ambient temp only when you have to cover the metal?
@GallaghersGrubАй бұрын
No, you should cook pork ribs until the meat pulls back from the bone. I usually cook ribs about 4-5 hours at around 250º F. You cannot measure ambient temperature with these spikes not being in any meat. I've tried it and broke a set.

Can you please do a review on the Napoleon grill you got behind you and maybe if you can please compare it to the Genesis as I'm in the market for a new one and those 2 are at the top of my list
@GallaghersGrubАй бұрын
We closed our cottage for the season this past week. Either one is a great choice. For the Weber Genesis, I prefer the model right before the newest model... The Genesis II. It's an excellent grill, especially with the sear station and side burner. My Napoleon is the Rogue XT 425 SIB. It's as good, or better than the Genesis II. I like the Napoleon, because I already have two kettles, a Q, and a Go Anywhere and don't want to be too much of a Weber fanboy.

The "Q". Good to see it out. Yuppers roast chicken is so good and always so easy. When you were closing the lid with the chicken in i thought to myself that grill could use some potatoes and then you went to potatoes, most excellent 😂. Great video. Fyi I really like your "Scroll. Really keeps the story moving, very nice. Have a great day 🌤. 😊

@timinwsacАй бұрын
I poke a series of small holes in the foil, I think it distributes the heat better while keeping the flames off the chicken. Heat the Q up to around 400 put the bird in on a rack and turn the temperature to low, which is around 300f to 325f. Let it go until it gets to 165f, usually takes about an hour and half. Take it out tent it with foil for about 20 minutes.
@GallaghersGrubАй бұрын
I used to poke holes in the foil, but I've found it to be unnecessary. I like to roast chickens @ 375 F, but yes, definitely let it rest before carving.
