So can you do a side by side with an arcade stick style. I had seen hit box with a stick for the "flicks". Is it illegal to have both? I want to try one, but I grew up on sticks are for arcade. Controllers are for home gaming.

Ran into this video 3 years too late but it actually helped a bunch. I just got my first leverless controller to help with my finger/wrist issues and you covered everything so perfectly.

I use a Haute 42 T13 and I love that the M1 button above the down button is up. For games like Tekken it is extremely hard to reverse your thinking, using thumb to use the UP button below the buttons. Therefore, a Razer Kitsune is never going to be for me because they do not have the up button above the down. I'm used to WASD keyboard plays, so for me it feels natural. But that is just my personal experience. I'm sure that other people adapt more easily.
@ThePancakeChef2 ай бұрын
For example, when combo's in Tekken require you to do UF1, UF4, DF3, F1+2, UF4. You see how many times you have to do up forward? It is very hard to do it reversed. :P

For PC gamers, using your left thumb to jump is probably going to be the only really natural thing about learning Hit Box.

This only applies to Street Fighter. 360s are easier than you think if you aren't required to hit the diagonals, but you're right about 720s. To do a 360... Slide your index finger across the 6,2, and 4 buttons (Right, Down, and Left). Tap 8 (up)+attack.

I've recently become addicted to fighting games after avoiding them my whole life. I just ordered a hitbox because I was tired of messing up my inputs in Guilty Gear with a pad. 5mins in to trying it out and I see that it's gonna take some time before I feel comfortable with this

honestly for me the vibe in sf6 is deplorable. just bad and cheesy aesthetics and music. and i think thats really important for a fighting game that you spend years and years on
@Agent_A_Graham5 ай бұрын
I hate it a lot too. It's not just the mechanics, but the aesthetic is so out-of-touch. Right now the Battle Hub is redecorated with a horrendous amount of bad graffiti for a tournie event, which is par for the course for their design decisions. And the thing that I hate the most is the animations. Every move skips the beginning motion of an attack so it looks unnatural. SF4 had the entire animation, a game from 2009. That's insane.

Just wanted to add, with the "rules of street fighter", yeh it can be very technical, but a lot of the technical stuff can be avoided while still playing the game at a decent level (in my experience).
