I think the outlets being on the side have one particular benefit. The cooling fans are over there above them, and so having the cables over there means you're encouraged to keep that area clear for the cables and then therefore clear for ventilation. Also if you want to have those cooling fans blow the hot air into your tent for some warmth, it would make sense to orient it toward the tent along with the cables. I wouldn't advise doing that since that might introduce unhealthy air, but in a survival during a massive freeze it could be a life save... Not in a desert of course. lmao

Your best bet to establish a straight line over a long distance on an uneven surface is a string line pulled taught. Establish your first and last rafter and pull your string from the corner of the first rafter all the way to the last. That string establishes your rafter height and your length positioning so you have a nice straight roof and fascia too. Then fill in the gaps. If you fear that your string sags, install the middle rafter next. Check from time to time that the string has not stretched. 👍

There is a process of pruning desert shrubs into trees to create greater shading for the soil along with cooling the surface while increasing surface area for smaller plant life to emerge. So all in all rainwater harvesting is pretty simple. Work out where your contour lines are using an A-frame and then collect the rocks scattered around and pile 'em up on contour (all damn hard work of course) and slow down that water flow :) And dig out water basins for slow seepage. Looks like this is exactly what you are doing (seems very similar to Dustups in Western Texas). Out of interest, what will you be using your land for? Grazing for ruminants? Fruit and veg?
@GrowTreeOrganics4 күн бұрын
A- frame and a laser level as well really helps. But we'll be establishing a good forest, gardens, and just rejuvenating the land back to at least what it was and hopefully more! We are grazing goats and chickens on rotation as well!✌🏾

Your entire “earth work” plan is absolutely insane! Is not making any sense , is already proven by multiple rain falls that is not going to work and you are accelerating the erosion process. Look on what African countries did to control de desert. Half moon design, zero erosion very efficient! What you are doing is a delusional nonsense!
