Wait till your Sony camera has an issue. Then listen to the warranty company tell you, sorry we no longer make that part any longer.. Then you say, its a new camera how can you not make that part ? The answer is, by the time you received the camera it was already out in Japan for 3 years. But, if you like we can send you a lessor model for a replacement. Think im lying ? Buy one. Or buy one of their flagship TVs and see what happens. I've been burned twice. Not going to happen again. My Nikon D90 had a issue. It was repaired and sent back without an issue. I like a company that's more interested in servicing and backing a buyer years down the road. Thanks for a great channel.

Great video Josh. Thanks. Why do you set the camera to "Release" priority.?You must get a lot of out of focus shots.

Hey, I think 300mm is not enough, especially on full frame cameras. So I think of buying a sigma 150-600mm with nikon d810 is this a good option?

Nice video, very helpful, thanks. One thing I do not understand is why you set the camera to release rather than focus. Surely this leads to a lot of out of focus shots.?

I love this video! This is the first video about birds and photography that I have watched through and then saved it to watch it again later. I wish I could give it 10 thumbs up.

Last night, I figured out something quite amazing while practicing my macro photography. If you use the Starlight option on your Z9 in low-light conditions, it brightens the display, making it easier to see and continue shooting later in the evening. However, it's most useful when using a flash.

I am thinking of switching to nikon from canon. I use the r7 but i am really not happy of the rf line up. I am thinking of switching to the z6ii, anything i need to keep in mind or should i not switch?
@rickrenda16782 ай бұрын
When this video was made 2 years ago, the z6iii did't exist. I had 2 z6's and trade one in for a new z6iii, and what a total difference. I knew my z6s, but Still learning the z6iii. Was considering a z7ii, which is a higher resolution sensor, but I also thought of the file sizes with that larger sensor. Th AF is a lot faster with a bunch of other enhancements.

I've gone completely mirrorless. Z50, Z6, Z6ii, and Z8. Probably will get rid of the Z6. I love Nikon products, and won't go to another brand,

i just found your video. i go to this bougie birder park and there's a lot of serious photographers there and i have this cheap set up (i spent like $100), and generally speaking i'm happy with the shots i get because i have what i have. would i like to have the $1500 lens? sure, but at the same time, i'm thankful i don't have to lug around a tripod too. it's a mindfulness thing i have keep that all in mind when i'm comparing myself all the time
@ukasz70733 ай бұрын
You argued that the best set is Nikon d850 + 500mm f4 / ed and now such a change to mirrorless. I am disappointed with such a change.

Well you had me watching because I'm a broke retiree with a cheap superzoom that I use every day to records animals for iNaturalist, and get some great shots sometimes. But I am thinking about better shots, like you did once, but there is no way in heaven that I'll be able to spend that much money. I wish you had spent some time with the return on investment in the under $2000 area because I cannot believe there is no photographer joy there.

Hauling around lenses the length of my torso (on top of carrying a tripod) would just kill the joy of bird photography for me. That’s why I’m considering the micro 4/3 Panasonic G9ii with the 100-300 (200-600 equivalent) lens. The outstanding in-body stabilization combined with the stabilized lens should eliminate the need for a tripod. I’ll carry this on my bicycle so portability and water resistance are of prime concern to me.

You seem to ignore "hand held" as a primary aspect of birding/nature photographer. I'm almost 80 and I need to be able to carry the camera around 'all day'.

I just bought the Z9 with a great deal. Doubting about buying a Z600 f/6.3 or an older F mount 600 f/4 FL version. What would you recommend? At this time i have the Z400 f/4.5 as my longest lightest most brightest lens. Thanks in advance.

I've been using couple of different tripods, and ended up with two (one bigger, one smaller) with no central column but with built in leveling base. I just dont see better option. Benro Tortoise 34CLV
