So, once NK is defeated, Grimm will know wherever you go and what you do as long as you have it equipped. This can be backed up by the fact that if you have Grimmchild equipped and fight (or as Grimm calls it, dance) with Grimm in godhome, Grimmchild will vanish, seemingly without a trace. But, if it truly did vanish, why does it reappear afterwards as if nothing happened? (Don't mind me I'm totally not explaining a shit ton of lore you missed in a fucking fun fact)

An ingame explanation for overlapping ropms could be that the Hollow Knight moves not only on the x- and y- axis but also on the z. Meanig some rooms are behind each other on the z axis on separate "depth levels"
