Since you have both the cybertruck and the universal wall connector do you have any plans to use the cybertruck battery as a whole house backup in case of a power outage? You have most of the pieces needed to swing that!
@redbeardengineeredКүн бұрын
It's on the list of things to do! I got a generator plug wired in and need to try it out. I don't see any issues with it working. Tesla has an official "power share" system that they'll come out and install that is more intelligent with charging and backfilling the house than just a generator plug... Basically no downtime even when the line goes out.

You can cook the whole steak in it... but I rather finish in the oven for control... you could just bring it down to the bottom though

Yeah if I'm going to do pepper I like doing it after the cook since I think the broiler will burn the pepper

I'm preparing to install a 5 head Mitsubishi minisplit system (hardcore DIYer). I've watched many videos on prep, install, troubleshooting, etc. (I even went out and got my federal 608 refrigerant certificate). This is one of the best DIY install videos I've seen. I was disappointed by the coil of lineset behind the condenser , but the small leak forced your hand to cut and re-flare so that was your chance to do it right and not leave a loop. The leak troubleshooting and vacuum test is all standard, but you persisted until you found the leak and passed a 1 hour leak test. No rushing. Nice job. Install looked very clean and is a great example to all.

We have a ‘full English’ breakfast over here (unsurprisingly!) and I hear a typical breakfast in the US consists of egg and bacon. Where our eggs in the breakfast are typically fried or poached (some like scrambled eggs), do you guys typically have your eggs scrambled, or is it common to have them fried or poached, too? It’s personal choice, sure, but what’s most common? Cheers James! Happy New Year 🎉
@redbeardengineered13 күн бұрын
Very cool to hear about your customs! I know some people get their eggs poached out here but I feel like fried and scrambled are likely the most popular!
@sudo_nym12 күн бұрын
@redbeardengineered Likewise, James! A typical full English breakfast consists of: Sausages (Lincolnshire or Cumberland- both regions have their own recipe), bacon, fried or poached eggs, black pudding (do you guys have this?), baked beans, fried tomato, buttered toast or fried bread, and mushrooms. Gosh, I’m feeling hungry now! 🤘🏻

Random Question - But is the top of your charger where the two pieces (wall plate + charger) come together perfectly flush? I noticed when tightening my charger to the wall plate, the center section slightly “sticks up” since the screws are tightening the outside portion of the charger. In your video around 6:08, it looks like the center portion on top slightly sticks up. Let me know if you can check yours out 👍

Red... We're 2024 Xmas thru New Year visiting youngest daughter's family in Mississippi. My son in law just 'smoke-grilled' rib eye steaks for Xmas eve dinner. They tasted really good, but it reminded me that my best experience with steaks in the past few years was via sous-vide with a torch sear finish. My target with beef is rare to medium rare. But I never felt torch searing gave uniform results. I had a Searzall (sp?) torch adapter, but it just doesn't have a big enough effective area; too easy to 'hot spot sear'. And frankly, it's tedious work. I saw the Big Horn online a couple months ago and started drooling over adding it to my outdoor kitchen. I was thinking of just sear-grilling. But your video reminded me that I hadn't sous-vided lately. I started sous vide watching Guga, my favorite Brasilian 'carne' chef; we have family in Brasil. You used the Big Horn for 'post searing', which confirmed to me that for guaranteed best results, using sous-vide followed by a quick broil/searing would give me what I wanted. Bottom line, I got the Big Horn this AM for Xmas, and we will return home with 'the prize'. Thanks for a very focused demo video! Best from SoCal

Great video, and very clearly detailed! I successfully replaced an older 80amp charger (that would not work with CyberTruck) with the universal, which is great. Now, I want to add a second Universal, but it would be sharing the same 100amp breaker which it can load share with. However, not sure how this would work... deciding on DYI or getting it done professionally. Hmmmm lol.
@redbeardengineered24 күн бұрын
I'm not a pro.... so don't take this as real advise. I think these Tesla chargers need to be on a 60 amp circuit no mater what... even if 2 are in use. They can communicate with each other from what I understand for a dual set up. Like I said... I haven't done this one take it with a massive grain of salt. Getting a professional may be ideal.

15 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief. 16 However, for this reason I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show all longsuffering, as a pattern to those who are going to believe on Him for everlasting life. 17 Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to [e]God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. really cool idea man. like you mentioned these would probably rust away in water which could be a real concern after what we saw in the hurricanes that hit north carolina and the vast amount of debris which could take days or weeks to sift through before finding your seed phrase. assuming you had a decent amount of wealth in your wallet, you may also want to protect against this by covering your washers and bolt in thick grease and protected in a plastic water proof container of some sort. or if you have real wealth on there, stamp your seed phrase to gold coins or washers which would never rust in a million years.
@redbeardengineeredАй бұрын
For sure, lots of options here. They are stainless so rust should be minimal, but yeah it's possible depending on the grade (these are 304). If you're worried about that, I guess you could suspend them in a container and pour epoxy around em to encapsulate. My issue with gold is that it's soft
@user-im6fy4qp6mАй бұрын
