I have strung a lot of rackets, but I was stumped by this one. A friend asked me to string it so I said sure, no problem. I thought, what am I doing wrong. Thanks to your video I got the solution otherwise I would have never figured it out. Locking the table at an angle worked like a charm. Thanks much.

Is it optimal to have the string changing direction 270 degrees so many times. Is it not hard on the racquet?

Just got a used gamma stringer with 6 point mounts like you have here. It missing three of the shoulder mount screws to tighten the underside.... Any advice for getting others screws....I think each is supposed to have a spring too... Thanks!

Jeez.. don't u use masking tapes to secure the stencil.. obviously you are an expert but we noobs r gonna screw it up if not secured by some sort of tape to keep the stencil in place

I have a funtastic titanium Head racquet that I've had for decades and they still make the same model…Ti S6. A year ago it started making a noise like something small was loose inside the handle…I thought it was probably a bit of rough material had broken away and it didn't concern me. Recently something else became loose but was much noisier…was a loud rattle (except when it was obviously jammed in the head now and again). It sounded like a rock rattling around inside and was distracting. I removed the grip and the cap of the handle, including small staples, and a solid metal cylinder dropped out. I could see that it had been cradled in a thin (now brittle) plastic that had been gradually cracking/breaking away. I used a thick glue to re suspend the weight at the very end of the handle in what plastic was left (near my hand). I've just googled what the metal is for...it adds weight to the handle (not the head)… not for power, but for control. Worth reading about “adding weight to your racquet". The racquet worked perfectly again today. If your racquet is making noises I believe it's worth removing the cap and seeing what's floating about 😊 I was prepared to buy exactly the same racquet again.

Heard a rattle from my relatively new vcore 98 and it was a plastic cap piece behind the butt cap that cracked. Fell right out and now is nice and quiet. Thanks for helping me solve my problem.

How is this done with floating clamps? I have the starting clamp, but it seems that after starting that bottom cross, then removing the starting clamp at top, I won’t have two strings to use the floating clamp? Any help?

I push the main and cross apart, but my string saver won’t come out most of the time. Maybe my tension is too high (58). The saver goes in/out of the applicator when I’m not actively trying to apply, but once I try, it gets stuck.
@mrgolftennisviolin
@mrgolftennisviolin 2 жыл бұрын
To compare correctly wouldn’t you also need to mark how far the tension head moves on both pulls? My guess is it had to move a lot less on the second pull, and that the difference isn’t as big as it seems.

Gee I know that. Video ended. What’s next? Do you pull both mains now? Or do you put a clamp somewhere? Which string. I’ve been stringing this racquet for 14 yrs. and some how I forget this part. I know I’m getting old.

one side 'a little' longer is an understatement. If its only a 'little' longer how are you supposed to finish ALL of the crosses with it? The 'long side' should be long enough to do half of the mains and all of the crosses.
