You hit the nail on the head. I think as much as everyone knew Kendrick could diss and had great bodies of work, I think a lot of people just weren't aware of what he was capable of or grateful underestimated him.

look, I don't comment on videos and am mostly just a watcher, but I saw this for the first time last night and it's been the goddamn electric shock I needed to get off my ass. I used to bike to work (its not long, about 4 mi) every day and loved it, but when the Pandemic happened in 2020, I completely fell off from doing it. I wanted to start doing it again once we returned to offices, but dreaded doing it because I was out of shape, I was out of practice, I was embarrassed, I was sad, I was afraid. Stopping biking was the first of many things I used to enjoy that I stopped doing -- just getting my heart pumping every day was key for me to keep my shit together. I biked to and from the office today and it wasn't _nearly_ as bad as I was dreading it would be. I was slow, sure, and it was cold and the first mile this morning sucked, but coming back was easier. There's so much I want to do, so many places I want to go, and even thinking about it is fucking terrifying. But I can bike to and from the office every day. Thanks for getting me to start to walk.

What K.dot and Tyler pushed was way more than your average rap narrative, and Diddy getting arrested at the same time Drake got his ass beaten shows that the tables are turning on those fake and freaky rappers. The shit that happened this year will inspire emerging artists in the following years, and I am thrilled to see what the genre will become after this.
