Hopefully another good year for all of us but I have to add kind of humorous you halfway just barely mentioned Eversense 365 day CGM and thought the coolest thing ever was dexcom hopefully getting to almost 15 days you got to admit this kind of funny Eversense 365 is totally awesome and I do believe they will have a pump manufacturer with them in 2025 and then after that no transmitter on the body at all I can't believe any CGM manufacturer in the world can compete with that anyway all the best Happy New Year my friend🎉🎉🎉
@Nerdabetic3 күн бұрын
It’s a very interesting CGM. The real world usage of it is very low when compared to other CGMs. I think the no transmitter version will be a lot more palatable to many people but the current version with the transmitter is quite specialist. Im an advocate as I think we need more competition in the CGM space. They need to do a bit more marketing in my view; improve their apps as they very old fashioned at this stage and get a pump partner to take it to the next level.

Woohoo, yes I’ve tried a few Simplera CGMs at this point and they absolutely great. The grid-like adhesive is so breathable and easy to wear. Simplera Sync should be out there very shortly. Not too long to wait

It can definitely be a private equity company that we’ve never heard of which is gonna own it and let them be themselves on their own. It could be a giant medtech company that’s keen to get into pump and AID or expand their reach.

So that’s the giant I’ve been thinking about. There are 50 reasons why their board would not let them buy Yspo; there are also 50 reasons why they should 👀😂. It would be hilarious for Roche to buy another Michel pump company……

Sadly my Simplera App doesn’t find the sensor, no matter what I try
@vs9168Ай бұрын
I use the vgo 40. It usually last me all day. It’s pretty good. I just got the eversense 365. 1 year inserted under my skin. See how it goes. After the first 13 days of calibrating it goes to once a week. I liked the freestyle libre 3. You didn’t have to calibrate it. But here and there I would knock the Scensor off, then I would have to go back to finger pricking.

Is there a widget you can enable as well so you can see the current value? Or do I have to open the app all the time?
@hannahjansen3393Ай бұрын
Do you know if the adhesive tape of the Simplera is the same as the Guardian 4? I am asking because I react very sensitive to some afhesives (e.g. Freestyle 1 in the past) and atm my body has no problem with the Guardian 4 adhesive. Do you know if there will be a possibility to try a Simplera sensor before switching the sensor as a whole? Thanks for the video :)

Used Simplera for a couple of weeks, and in my opinion its a total disaster! The aplicator does need so much pressure before the sensor pops out, IF the sensor pops out anyway, the first one didn't, the second one does and failed after 3 days, the 3th didn't pop out after the 4th i was completely done! After a huge push it hit a bone in my arm and started to bleed and yes! After 4 days sensor failed again, i going back to G4 its outdated maybe but insertion is much easier and painles, ill wait for the Libre 3 when its available in europe connecting 780G pump. After a call with Medtronic Netherlands they confirmed my problem, a lot of users complained about the same problem.

Was the sensor filament like the G4 or was it different? Is hard or soft? By the sounds of it, that doesn't give me hope for the future :/

I’m hoping anyone who has had the chance to wear the Simplera, I want like to know if the sensor filament is the same as the Guardian? The one thing I liked about Guardian over the Dexcom sensors is that I couldn’t feel the filament, it’s soft, flexible whereas Dexcom felt like a needle. It irritated my skin.

Great minds think alike! Thank you for articulating this so well. I just visited my Endocrinologist today after not seeing her for about 2.5 years. The very first thing she asked me was “How are you doing?” followed by several more questions about what have I been up to and how is my son and how has work been. She didn’t open my file for about 10 minutes before we got into the test results and trends. I went in feeling concerned and anxious about my HA1Cs and left feeling great. About 15 years ago while involved in a Pump users support group I learned the turn of phrase that I am a person (with diabetes) and not “a diabetic”. It changed how I feel about dealing with the challenges we face. I don’t ever make an issue about it. I just use the description when it comes up and over the years have had many people both with diabetes and without say that that has changed how they feel about themselves or their loved ones. I loved seeing all your happiness pictures through the video and I really enjoy your consistent positive energy in all your videos. I’m glad to hear that you are enjoying life.

Wish all providers could hear this. Having diabetes is just one more thing to manage in ones life. When I first had diabetes no finger sticks, no pumps, no smart watches. Strict diet and not fun. Things like the glucose meters, pumps, etc made life more manageable but still a big struggle to feel good and live a reasonable free life. I'm grateful for it all but most of all for people who don't see me as a disease but a person struggling with a difficult one
