I also love how, with Elden Ring, there was a wave of new Lore channels popping up (and I also rediscovered some old veterans like Quelaag). And it was bizarrely fascinating when on your first live stream about the story trailer I saw AshKing because, back in the day, I used to watch him when he made more content about the TES franchise. But for a couple of years I was watching mostly the English Soulsborne community, so seeing him on your stream was a sudden reminder that there are also Russian Elden Ring lore enthusiasts as well. It's quite a circle, or should I say a cycle?

23:20 maybe the ants are tied to a pre-Golden Order form of Rot, which had not yet turned "Scarlet" and outright malignant? Or maybe it's just fantasy acid, which often ends up being portrayed as "super poison". Do ants have any particular connections to decay in Japanese culture specifically? (IRL they cover a wide variety of niches including "cleanup" and scavenging, but also grazing, hunting and even farming) 34:29 "formic" as an adjective literally means "pertaining to ants". Could just be misused for a fantasy mineral, but based on the RL meaning the proper reading is that any location it appears in had a substantial ant population in the past if not in the present. The English item description also claims it's solidified ant venom without any mention of hearsay. Regarding Mt. Gelmir you might be confusing it with Volcanic Rock, which has equally limited uses. 3:19:20 okay so I'm generally biased against "Christian" interpretations, to me they always seem preachy in the sense of "not only do I believe this to be true, everyone else should adhere to this line of thinking too" at least in the general manner of presentation. But this quote is just outright strawman nonsense. The removal of light and eyes, material constituents of the universe, and the resulting semantics of "dark" are in no way equivalent to the purely metaphysical absence of meaning. The Frenzied Flame ending clearly ties into the former, visibly obliterating the physical world in the ending itself and if its servants are to be believed "all that divides and distinguishes". That is not a world doomed to oblivion because its denizens were deprived of (divinely ordained?) meaning, it is a "world" FORCED into raw entropy imposed by OUR singular choice. And with all the directly contradictory hypotheses written down both in physics and in metaphysics/philosophy/religion it necessarily follows that some of them are not true, postulating an equivalent to "light" (e.g. following slightly modified Maxwell's equations) and formulating its fictional equivalent to "dark" is _downright trivial_ when you drop the fundamental constraint of physics attempting to describe _our observed reality._ But writing something down does not make it real, to the chagrin of many a Christian or String Theorist.

12:00 considering the One Great, Elden Stars and the Farum Azula Elden Ring another possibility is that the Elden Beast is the direct progenitor of the (Ancient) Dragons, itself being a more abstract cosmic entity. 45:20 maybe I missed one but the horned entities in the DLC previews seem distinct in that they only grow "reasonable" sets of horns, not "excessive" such as Mohg getting his own eye pierced. I think that supports the idea of the Omen being essentially unwanted dregs of the Erdtree life recycling system, the distilled remnants of those horned entities in the DLC previews so opposed to the Golden Order that the Erdtree itself rejects them (according to the Seedbed Curse). That would also explain why Omen, unlike regular Crucible-touched beings such as Misbegotten, have such an affinity for vengeful spirits and are constantly tormented by them. Poetically it's the spite of those Marika(/Messmer?) purged seeping through, mechanically a lot of those killed were probably fed to the Erdtree and thus their memories/"souls" entered its system. 1:13:20 does the Japanese grammar of the Telescope description lend itself to any further insights regarding the chronology of the (age of the) Erdtree and the Golden Order? Also how does that align with Radahn's "Starscourge" conflict which should have occurred well after the creation of the Golden Order?

I'm very early in this video, but at about 13 minutes you talk about how beings that accumulate enough power may just trend toward dragon-like features and are searching for a term to describe that phenomenon. I think what you were looking for was 'convergent evolution', when creatures that aren't closely related wind up developing physical and behavioral similarities as a result of the same environmental influences. And that's very interesting, in relation to dragons, the elden beast, and other things in the lands between that seem to be gaining the qualities of dragons, like rune bears.

55:45 Nope. The German word "Kind" ("child") is pronounced like "kin" or "chin" as far as the I is concerned and is exclusively a noun. Adjectives can be derived from it but that requires suffixes, and "-ly" or its phonetic equivalent is not valid in this context. The closest proper German words would be "kindlich" ("child-like") or "kindisch" ("childish"). For that matter "Halig(tree)" doesn't line up with German either, but does somewhat match Swedish or Norwegian (albeit all of those spell it with E instead of A, with varying insertions of I or L).

Imo if the trailer has made one thing clear is that the GEQ was the holder of the death rune before the erdtree creation and not after. Marika betrayes her and then takes the death rune from her with the help of Malekith. Then creates the Erdtree and removes the death rune from the elden ring, making herself and her offspring immortal. Gives the rune of death to his most trustworthy man, Malekith and calls it a day. Also, was Marika a deathbed companion ?

How clear is it that Mohg and Morgott were BORN of Marika and Godfrey? Could Godfrey have had kids pre-Marika, and once they got together they received their demigod status, like Rennala and Radagon’s kids? Could the seduction and betrayal be Marika seducing Godfrey away from the Gloam Eyed Queen? I love asking questions

I have a theory. I believe that the reason both miquella and marika have griffith imagery associated to them is because they are one and the same. Marika the mountain of corpses and miquella the cocoon. Miquella is literally a clone of Marika since she is both his mother and father, and he is the cocoon that Marika will use to resurrect or regrow herself, just like griffith did in berserk when he regrew his body from scratch. The final boss of the dlc will most likely be a part 1 miquella and a miquella who has been taken over by Marika as a phase 2. Now is Miquella aware that Marika intend to take his body for herself? Maybe, but it is entirely possible, even probable that no he doesn't know. Miquella may truly have good intention, but these intentions won't matter once his mother has taken over him, and we will have no choice but to put him down. Who knows, we may even have the choice to skip phase one of that fight if we end up agreeing with him, only for us to be force to put him down so marika doesn't hurt anyone else. Maybe this is why we aren't shown miquella face, because it is marika face? There is only one other Character that we do not see the face of ever in the game, and that is Marika.

47:52 dang, is this cut confirmation regarding the ash in Leyndell? Godrick only rants about post-NotBK events here, with both the exodus and Morgott leading Leyndell only happening well within the Shattering wars. So based on that context the ash should _also_ be tied to those wars, and Godrick explicitly calls to the Erdtree as a symbol of hope which goes against the "phantom replacement" theories too. (I mean, the tree could still be a golden phantasm, but would have to have been installed well before Godrick's trauma of the exodus) 50:27 why would Morgott even accuse Ranni if she didn't show up? She should have been AWOL since the NotBK and thus simply presumed dead, definitely not a "wilful traitor" alongside the others who openly participated in the Shattering wars. And Morgott almost certainly did not know about Ranni's true motives, or he would have spared a few more choice words for her specifically. Pretty sure Mohg doesn't get mentioned because he never showed interest in ruling the world of Grace, and Morgott is covering for him despite their opposing beliefs out of sibling loyalty. 1:03:00 maybe the BKA returned later, after everyone has "gone hollow", in order to finish the job but hasn't found an opportunity to actually take on Morgott? 2:21:00 the issue isn't just the fingers, but also that seemingly no one other than a small Golden Order-aligned "priesthood" of Finger Readers can even (allegedly) understand their communication. For all we know the Two Fingers in Roundtable Hold just randomly spasm in proximity to Grace and Enia is making everything up (or following a script given by e.g. Marika). 2:24:24 "Marika...why...wouldst thou...gull me? Why...shatter..." - Gurranq death quote. So even if it's not THE betrayal, Gurranq/Maliketh definitely feels that way regarding the shattering of the Elden Ring. 2:33:10 ah man, US prudishness is SO STUPID! There's a *GIANT PILE OF SKINNED CORPSES* coming up, genocide and cruel torture all around, but God forbid something vaguely resembles perfectly natural and non-violent genitalia (while presumably also being desecrated after a bout of excessively violent murder...)

I’m also gonna put this here! This is how I think the Crucible works! Maybe this is common sense, but I believe that the game mechanic of “Remembrances” may relate very closely to the nature of the Crucible with the Erdtree and its predecessor. The reason creatures are able to blend in this melting pot of life through the Crucible is through the power of the Erdtree; that is, the tree stores the lives and “memories” of those buried near it in the form of aspects. The Crucible Knights can pull the different aspects of great beasts from the Erdtree, because of how all life once connected to the tree. The Golden Order Erdtree does a similar thing with its Remembrances, and the player Tarnished can turn those Remembrances into aspects of those bosses. I think the key difference is that the current Erdtree, with its order, cannot allow life to change and blend through it. Because of this players can only acquire aspects in the form of codified knowledge or a physical item, and cannot, say, grow a muscular Godfrey arm. That’s why the Tarnished’s remembrance weapon can be smaller than or different looking to the boss’s; it’s a memory or aspect of that boss. Thinking on Golden Order Fundamentalism, if all things are connected in a chain of relation, and all things yearn eternally to converge, that would make those rules constants since at least the first great tree, and possibly earlier! tl;dr: All life is connected together by the primordial Erdtree; The tree holds the life and memories of life of all deceased creatures, and so other creatures pull from and blend into those memories through birth or faith. Enjoy my funny theory! 🌌🖤

Schizo theory is not offensive. Its funny how Souls games are games which push you to interpret language, and one person cant interpret what someone means when they say they want schizo theories. The souls community, is known, for how "crazy" and "addicted" we all are to these games right? Sure the combat is great but even if people dont play souls games, they know how deep and philosophical the games are. What even is offensive, thats just like your opinion man! Seriously, do not feel pressured by people telling you what is okay and what isnt okay to say. You as an individual person, are adding to the discussion and other people will build upon those ideas! Isnt that what makes "Schizo Theories" so awesome???? Look at how much creativity and FUN theories that are sprouting up like a tree now? I would say that its the best thing ever. People who have been thinking in weird, and outlandish ways are now making youtube videos so that people can THINK more and THINK differently. Elden Ring is a lot deeper than previous games, we HAVE to THINK outside the box. If one person, out of MILLIONS thinks "Schizo theory" is offensive, I think that one person, is offended, not the millions of people.

All the corpses give me big Rhykard and thus Serpent God vibes. I think there's a good chance the betrayal trailer talking about is essentially mass sacrifice performed by Marika. I speculate that Grace was a natural occurring thing found in every living creature and that she then took all of their grace in some sort of sacrificial ritual and formed the Elden Ring, thus becoming God. Then, she formed the deathless The Golden Order, so grace was circulating in a closed loop, always returning to the tree and then being recycled back into the newborn. She would remain God as long as she was in charge of this system since she would choose how much grace is to be given out (dew giving ritual statues) and how much of it she kept. Then, shit hit the fan when Rune of Death was stolen and death was introduced to the world. This closed cycle wasn't so closed anymore. Now the grace is leaking out of the Lands Between back into the place it was originally taken from, weakening Marika in the process, probably opening the way for Outer Gods influence, including Elden Beast. This is probably why the dew giving rituals ceased - she needed it all herself to fight it off. Perhaps she didn't go mad that her firstborn died like a common explanation says. Perhaps, shattering the Elden Ring was basically a response to the "oh shit, the ship is sinking" situation, basically a last resort "reset everything" button.
