Thank you for standing up for the TRUTH. I know a doctor, He is a prof and Blood Pressure Specialist, the Pharma companies have paid for his lab grants, given him money on Visa cards , and paid him money, ITS SO CORRUPT.

"Remarkably, one-quarter of the centenarians had high Lp(a) serum levels even though they never suffered from atherosclerosis-related diseases." 1998 G. Baggio. 2012 article title: Low Lipoprotein(a) Concentration Is Associated with Cancer and All-Cause Deaths: A Population-Based Cohort Study (The JMS Cohort Study). You should never try to tamper or lower your Lp(a) levels as they are in your genetics for a reason to make you live a long healthy life. There is nothing to update as the DNA of a human has not changed in a long time.

I've had this yanking feeling that there's a lot more to it than just doing low carb we need to fast we need to exercise we need to rest we need mental health there's a lot more to health than just one factor certainly insulin control is way up at the top of the list though

I appreciate your thorough explanation and review of these studies. I am confused because I did a CAC CT scan just for curiosity last year and my CAC was in the "severe" >300 range. Anyone would love to have my lav values Chol 229 TG 33 HDL 104 LDL 119 PCP ordered LPa 125 Said genetic, diet and meds can't lower it But I should consider starting statin to lower cholesterol Also, elevated CAC is likely due to elevated LPa, I did 13 minutes on treadmill to get my HR to 162, no symptoms, EKG "irregularities" So did nuclear treadmill stress test, no symptoms, but "irregularities" CRP, high sensitivity 1.6 I'm seeing cardiologist, but I am gathering information to better understand actually how high is my risk of MI or CVA to determine what level of intervention I am comfortable with Also, my understanding of plaque is that calcified plaque represents low risk because it is stabile, and the soft plaque represents the real risk Thanks

Do you know why Lp (a) increases? I checked my Lp (a) 4 months ago and it was 86 nmol an last week it was 102 nmol. In 4 months my LDL went down, but yet Lp (a) went up. HDL 89, Trig 51, LDL 90, Crp-0.4, Apol B 84. I was told I have the good fluffy type of cholesterol. I had two calcium CT scans and tested zero. Carotid artery is clear. My dad died of a heart attack when he was 51 years old in 1976. I have great blood pressure and I work out 6 days a week for 33 years doing cardio. My diet is low sugar and low carbs. I live off fish and chicken, occasional hamburger. I was adding one teaspoon of flaxseed to my daily kale salad but I was told to avoid all seed oils. When I found out I have the Lp (a) gene I felt like I was going to drop dead of a heart attack any day. The cardiologist at Univ of Penn scared the living crap out of me. Thank you for your video.

The only bad fats found in any diet are those coming from chemically/thermally-refined oils of *any* type, or any fat (or protein) in general that has been heated/cooked past around 350-375 degrees Fahrenheit (175-190 Celsius) - which begins changing its structure in a negative way. Check the ingredient list of most prepackaged foods & you will find some type of refined oil in them. Restaurants also used refined oils to prepare almost everything. Refined oils also tend to be heavy with pesticide/herbicide residues. Easy to see the problem. I stick to properly-prepared natural/unrefined animals fats & also raw/virgin cold-pressed coconut & olive oil.

The charts at 21:20 are created in a dishonest manner, and it is naive for a doctor to not see this. An Lp(a) of 80 mg/L is not even close to being considered high. Moderately high Lp(a), where I am, does not even been until about 320mg/L (75nmol/L), "high" Lp(a) starts at 550mg/L (125nmol/L). Only about 20% of the people in the "Lp(a)>80 group shown in the charts actually have moderately high or high Lp(a). Grouping all those normal Lp(a) people in with a few high Lp(a) people makes the chart less informative than you think it is, it only tells you that people with low Lp(a) have a higher cancer rate and all cause mortality than people with normal Lp(a).

I was found with LP(a) 80 and limit is 30 at same time with high LDL and HDL. At first my doctor put me on statins and I was getting bad muscle pain and elevated CK, so I went and read on statins and discovered it increases LP(a) in order to reduce cholesterol….took blood test with LP(a) 120 and my cholesterol remained high. This video confirms. I stopped it right away. Then I was put on 1000 mg niacin (B3) and it reduced LP(a) in fact back to 80 but found aside the hot flushing itt had me totally knocked out dead like till awoken. Found it scary and stopped and searched on niacin (B3) to find that high dosage damages the liver 😏so I thought my liver is producing LP(a) and to make it stop I am damaging my liver (!) so that I can prevent a possible heart attack…it didn’t make sense. So now I am on a drug ‘ezetimibe’ because my cholesterol remains high to lower it (it is not a statin) and doc suggests I take only 250 mg of the B3 nightly together with ‘barberis aristrata’ which is fermented red rice in addition to reduce cholesterol. I am finding changes in my skin tone ‘tired look’ and got terribly tired too. So I stopped the B3 tired feeling is gone -will see what happens with my next blood test. It I has been useful to watch this video thank you SO much as it helps me to evaluate better which way I should go with this. I am not fat and eat healthy mostly do use olive oil and love bread my weak area. I don’t eat sweets and am generally very healthy. Maybe I will stop the experimenting I will give it a couple more months…if LP(a) is in effect with benefits it makes no sense to lower it. Mine is generally around 80 and maybe that’s ok.

Why don't doctors test for LPA? So why have most people never even heard of Lp(a)? For starters, Lp(a) isn't picked up by a standard cholesterol test. You can get a separate Lp(a) blood test, but doctors haven't routinely recommended it because currently there aren't any FDA-approved drugs to lower elevated Lp(a).Feb 1, 2023

I just found out that my lp(a) is high My doctor recommended statins I also take ethyl ester for my triglycerides, I think there’s no side effects since it’s basically omega3 Now statins are a whole other story and I really don’t want to go that route I can see there’s little known about little a’s Now I’m vegan I exercise regularly don’t have any bad habits, not counting KZbin of course I’m thinking what else can I do? Can something like cold showers or standing on my head do the trick?

Dr Ali, you have opened my eyes.Being a practicing physician for many years, I was brainwashed by big pharma about the extra-ordinary benefits of statins, so much that I was taking it for primary prevention. After watching your presentation, i realized that emperor truley has no clothes. I have stopped taking it and I will be informing my patients about benefit/riak ration and let them make infomed decision. you are doing great service to humanity. I am surprised that almost all cardiologist are also following this herd mentality and falling for this trap. thanks a lot,

My goodness Doctor Ali you have given a very important information. Since my childhood I and my family were eating and drinking hazardous foods. Now I have entirely changed the menu of meals. Thank you doctor for guiding me and my family the right diet. My cholesterol level has declined from 305 to the normal level. It means people round the globe had been misguided probably for the last 40 to 60 years because they were ingesting sugar, plain flour, and vegetable oils in abundance and wholeheartedly.

I have heard other metabolic doctors say that the reason low LDL correlates with all cause mortality and high LDL correlates with reduced all cause mortality is because when people are suffering end of life disease like cancer and infection their LDL plummets until death. I would like to hear Dr. Ali address that.
