Alcohol is the single worst thing to guarantee a poor sleep, closely followed by caffeine.... sleep is always shallow and end up waking in the middle of the night then cannot get to sleep again... never had true DT's (hallucinations etc) but have had times where the hand tremors are scary after a real binge (most likely hypo low blood sugar)...then there is the next 2 nights sleep with wonky, disjointed weird dreams!!! Excellent video again Dr Ali, many thanks...!

Another fabulous vid. Thank you Dr. You are truly one of the best. I have a pacemaker and had bypass surgery 7 years ago, got my health back on KZbin from drs like you, full of useful information. I use a Polar device for exercise and sleep tracking. Again, thank you dr.

A very detailed and interesting study on the importance of sleep. I am definitely going to bed earlier tonight! 🙂... You didn't mention Melatonin medication to assist with sleep -- I am presuming it is a better option for those that are thinking of sedatives.
