You figured it out yourself... it's your info to share, if you choose. It's interesting that people were being so secretive. It's not the solution to infinite energy, bro. You're not gonna sell the idea for billions, you're not saving the world, and you're not the only person that can figure it out. Check the ego!

Here's to being the main character in our lives instead of a side role waiting to react to everything with the wrong perspective...such a stifling way to exist.

any chance you will add projector files to any of your patterns? 🫶🏼
@corkylorenz11 күн бұрын
I have been trying to get a projector file uploaded for this one and keep procrastinating finishing because I don’t have a projector and don’t know the workflow. But I should just upload a test file to my to get moving. 😅 If you’re using the projector file, would you be using the line to draw a sewing line? Or would you want to be cutting on that line?
@maggiedvorak132310 күн бұрын
@@corkylorenzi personally LOVE the sewing line method! I just purchased some of your patterns and am already on a roll! I don’t mind cutting them out! Your patterns are WONDERFUL! I’m just a hippy who hates wasting paper 🤪 I also am illiterate in the world of creating files but i would pay again for projector patterns ☺️
@maggiedvorak132310 күн бұрын
@@corkylorenzi don’t think i answered clearly adhd sorry. If i were using a projector file- i would look for the whole pattern rather than only top or bottom half. I would cut the cores directly out. I would stack my backing, topping, and muslin, i could still slide the projection around to mix and match wings etc. hope this makes sense! Many people make their sewing files with “layers” so a person can select or deselect whichever layers they want to show- example 5.5 inches on top and 7.5 on bottom, you could project both and only trace or cut the ones you want for straight sizing or grading or mix and matching
@maggiedvorak132310 күн бұрын
@@corkylorenzoh bother. I still am not answering well. (Because for a contour pad- i haven’t done this one yet i am sewing it tonight) i would still cut around the sewing line- for the core- since it’s different than other patterns due to it being exposed- but i would still love to use the projection to trace the sewing line! Rather than printing cutting and taping 🙈 i hope im making sense. Also- i love your patterns regardless and this is no complaint. Just a fan of not using paper when possible 🫶🏼

In addition to what you said about wrapping the sinew, I have also noticed that wrapping the sinew around your puller, then pulling on top of the sinew, tends to causes the sinew to fray faster making it break more often.

It’s long sleeved, but Bella and canvas 3511, “heavyweight long sleeve tee” is a decent length (I think) and a nice loose fit. Large measures 26.5 from shoulder to bottom hem. Oh and maybe try dancing robin from grateful dye. Those run really long.

It is half the cutting to rough cut around the sewing line.... Way more accurate because you have a bit more fabric under the foot as opposed to a small seam allowance. I plan to make sets of these to have on hand for the younger women in my life. We never know when supply chains might make it hard to have disposable supplies. First time I ever made these was for mission trips...with every set I included a pack of laundry soap sheets.

I’m so glad you posted this! I’ve yet to try an exposed core- I’m too chicken- but I really want to try. A note about anti pill fleece, my pads are one or two layers of zorb with a backer made from anti pill, with a cotton or performance pique topper. I’ve been wearing that same couple dozen pads since November 2016 and the only time I leaked through was when I had a heavy period for over 20 weeks and it was so heavy it overflowed my cup as well. I think if you are using good core and topper fabrics you can definitely get away with anti pill fleece no problem. I have extremely heavy periods normally. No problem! Thank you so much for posting this video. Once I get my new sewing machine next week I’ll try this out.
@corkylorenz24 күн бұрын
That’s great to know that antipill is serving you well, when you have good core materials. I also used it for post partum but I’m always afraid to suggest something that might not be adequate for others. 😅 Maybe you could upcycle some old stuff so the experiment feels like there’s no risk. ☺️

How did you punch the holes in the sides of the bin to thread the zip ties through? Do you ever have trouble with dye leaking out the holes or are they sealed with something?
@corkylorenz28 күн бұрын
I have a hole punch with a really long neck, meant for scrap booking. If I didn’t have that, I’d try heating something pointy? Or maybe drilling a hole. 🧐 I haven’t had any leaking issues, but I haven’t paid close attention to that since my space is ok to get messy.
