Grew up watching Dukes of Hazard as a kid with my parents, so I was pretty excited when they did this episode. It was great seeing them both together again.

I actually trained in precision driving with the guy who did the risky stunts for the original Dukes. He had some CRAZY stories from the set!

Just a good ol' boy Never meanin' no harm. I once started singing that in the back of a patty wagon, or is it paddy wagon? Anyway, we were all going to jail in the back of a patty wagon and I started singing that and everyone joined in. It was beautiful.

Loved this episode. 3 roses 🌹 for me. Not sure why some didn’t like it but I’m more of an optimistic fan I guess. Episodes like “Exposed,” and “Thirst,” might have seemed out of place and silly 🤪 but the show needs those episodes. It’s to prepare the audience for the more emotional ones to come. This season will have plenty of those emotional episodes so strap in. I know what Dean Winchester would have said if he saw Lois up there on the stage. He would have said “Sammy, we’re in heaven. We are so working this case.” lol 😂 I loved how Clark was trying not to be attracted to Lois or the scantily clad ladies in the club. So funny 😂 it did make more sense for Lois to be a stripper than Lana a vampire. They both committed and made it their own. I applaud them for that! Definitely. 👍 Please Have Jensen on the podcast soon and Jane Seymour. They made season 4 of Smallville amazing 🤩 Season 6 is my favorite Smallville season. Massive Chloe fan and people ask me why I stuck around. It was to see her relationship with Clark grow. No matter how many arguments they had they always managed to come together always. Chloe will be a strong shoulder for Clark this season and next season when the “Lana drama,” explodes. Loved the Dukes Of Hazzard Easter eggs in this episode. Amazing 🤩 can’t wait for the show tomorrow! So. Cal girl here and love the podcast gentlemen! ❤️❤️

I did a little research, and the 2005 "Dukes of Hazzard" movie (starring Seann William Scott and Johnny Knoxville) came out in August 2005 (with the DVD releasing in December of that year), and this episode aired in November. Perhaps WB nudged Al and Miles into doing some cross promotion (to either get some people to the theaters at the tail end of the theatrical run, or to generate interest for the home video release)?

Then they wouldn't have gotten the original actors from dukes of Hazzard
@jasonsylvia48433 ай бұрын
Not really,at the time Jessica Simpson and Johny Knoxville were HUGE,and Sean William Scott was still riding high off his American Pie 1+2 Game,Road trip,etc,so it was more capitalizing on those two, introducing Dukes to a whole new generation, nearly 25 years after the original first aired. Of course it's 19 years now since the 2005 version so a whole audience now probably thinks that's the original 😂

Your right because of the movie and because of the style on the 2000's was 70's type bell-bottoms jeans and long hair plus that movie. It's what the generation pop culture was at. At the time

If they were going to have a Dukes of Hazzard cast member play a senator they should have used Ben Jones (Cooter). He was an actual Congressman.

You need to have Schneider's Revenuer's Reserve Moonshine on that set.

I felt like there were good story reasons for bringing in Tom Wopat. Him being a state senator and everything that happens in this episode leads to some major changes for the Kents. That all starts with an old friend coming to visit. How do you sell the idea that this character we've never heard about before is an old, beloved friend of the family? Bring in someone who has a significant history with one of the other actors.

Ppl here commenting need to know tgat the Kris and Tom chemistry was way beyond insane and it was really meaningless to bring the lous cgaracter, this is an alternate world that has nithing to do with the comic book though I admire Erica Durancecas an actress

I really think smallville should have finished with a movies of you as superman

Tom would never do it if it required wearing the Superman suit, still to this day. Fans been making excuses since day one why but it’s all his personal decision not to.

The General Lee was a 1969 Charger. The car in the Smallville episode was a 1968 Charger. So I dought that story of the paint.
@Jason_Bryant2 ай бұрын
They had pictures in the video of the crew painting the car. I'll also point out that the Dukes of Hazard series went through around 300 Dodge Chargers. That's because they destroyed two per episode doing those jumps. By the end of the series, they were having a hard time finding Dodge chargers. So there are chargers out there that were used for a stunt in one scene, wrecked, then restored by fans. For something like, given how hard it was getting to find Chargers that they were still operational, but could be wrecked, they might have used a few 68s. Now, it may be that a fan had made an old Charger *into* a General Lee, and not that it was one of the originals. Or maybe it's an original. I wouldn't be surprised it Tom doesn't know all the details off the top of his head after this many years.

The outrage over the General Lee is so ridiculous. The ignorance of what the rebel flag stands far is beyond pathetic.
@ryanmaher94233 ай бұрын
No one’s ignorant of what that stupid flag stands for. It stands for treason and slavery. You won’t believe it, but there was a whole war fought over it.
@motodog2423 ай бұрын
What ignorance? Not everyone who waved the confederate flag was for slaves or wanted slaves. Oh, I get it, it’s your ignorance, got it. 😂

@@motodog242lol you can’t really be this ignorant. Or maybe you’re just illiterate? Has to be one or the other. So which is it?
