Vince's anti-Fyreslayer bias was showing when he mentioned half a dozen armies that greatly profit from the new Field Sergeant rule... but only added FS to that list after the chat reminded him. :P Good Battlescroll overall. I wish they'd add some incentive to go for 3+ regiments to the core rules. I also wish there was a universal way to get extra enhancements. Like 3rd edition had with the Warlord Battalion and the Command Entourage. Why not combine those two ideas and let players pick an additional enhancement for each non-Warlord regiment their army has? This would create a strong push and pull between going low drop and adding more enhancements.

This paint scheme looks amazing! Also, the pictures are top tier! You should do a video on how you take the pictures. That would be very appreciated!

My friends are getting into to AoS after March. I chose Sons of Behemat cause i already play Cult in 40k and i need less to paint. Love the goofy factor. How cooked am i?

I thought it was funny that Tom's position changed from, 'the writers can't tell a good grand narrative story' with the 3rd ed city's crap to 'they're playing 5d chess' with SCE in the space of an hour. It's hard to believe that both of those things can be true at once.

This must be a providence, Mr V. I am about to start painting my Sylvaneth army and just the other day was watching your basing video on the running treelord from when you painted yours. Gorgeous army, I plan on going in a different direction with mine but one of the strengths of this faction is exactly how much of a blank canvas they are. Thanks so much for the video (and indeed all the others!)

This has always been one of my favourite armies of yours, they look sooo colorful, the sylvaneth I painted for underworlds have all been inspired by this army Funny that you would release this now, when I am just in the procces of building a sylvaneth spearhead box for one page rules ;)

well time to go through the hobby cheating backlog to try and find you painting these or using that technique. do you think this brush wash technique could translate to any army or it it sort of locked to the flesh/wood kind of soft curved kind of textures?
@VinceVenturella9 сағат бұрын
It works best on things that are heavily textured like this.

I think it looks weird, not good, when everything looks the same. That’s why I love my split scheme vibe. There’s some harmonious chaos in seeing them together on the field. It’s the same reason why the helmets are slightly different, spears, shields, etc.!

Great show as always! Vince you got to give a shout out sometime for Devs and dice mordheim terrain. I love showcases! Itd be great to see a final shot with the whole army. I just love looking at a mass of models all painted. I think it could help reinforce your point regarding blending colour scheme together, but i really just want to see a big blob of trees.

11:00 or just use Acetone! Even plain water is toxic in great enough quantities! Fun fact, your body (liver) produces acetone. Now, don’t go drowning in it!

I just assumed it was hollow trees and not cork!
@andrej2321Күн бұрын
2:25 so tired of people not understanding toxicity and what the government wants you to believe. There are at least three if not four elements to any paint, solvents, binders, carriers and the pigments themselves. Enough of everyone focusing on just the VOCs! Any and all paints are toxic if not taking the proper precautions! Just because some paint is miscible with water or with water to some degree does not mean it is safe! After all, you are atomizing paint! Now tell me what is in it, Sherlock!

Warhammer elves also just happen to be a really great army to mix bits, because GW has like six distinct elf armies, each with their own subfactions. I just started building Drukhari, and have been collecting sets and bits from Craftworlders, Corsairs, Daughters of Khaine and Idoneth to mix in, with plans for some Sylvaneth conversions as well. Just really cool ranges all around.

I based my sylvaneth of a white dwarf article about painting the trees for the realm of light so its a wierd scheme that didnt really make it easier using them in ttrpg unless we go to the first world/feywild.

Thanks for giving your blessing for mixed paint scheme armies. That means a lot. For some reason most of my forces tend to be incorporate two or more schemes, e.g. classic metal Nihilakh Necrons and sandstone Nihilakh, offwhite and Frozen Plague Death Guard. My Sylvaneth are still on their sprues because I couldn't decide on going full Cherry Blossom, Indian Summer or dead winter wood.

Crazy timing on this video as I am about to start a Sylvaneth army for an escalation league! All of these subsections of your forest look amazing and the Durthu section is similar to what I had in my brain! Appreciate the message of not trapping yourself in the prison of painting the same scheme over and over! It’s easy to get sucked into that mindset, and I’ll be sure to revisit this video when I find myself there! Thanks for the great video, Vince!

Great looking army, especially that Alarielle. Few things make me stop and say “whoa” out loud. That one did. Also, thanks for the reassurance/reminder that simple techniques are valid techniques. I think all of us have been stuck over analyzing when simple will do and still look good.
