Very exciting tool, use this for a lot of projects and it never disappointed me. Just one thing: If I want to select splines that are hidden under specific polygons it would be a gamechanger if I could hide some polygons temporary just to be able to select the splines underneath. If my character has gums for example I am not able to set the splines correctly without some kind of hacks. Anyways this is awesome and so helpful for setting up points in wrap :)

Hello @faceform, I am interested in your software as 4dwrap, but there is something I cannot find so far in my research and that's about final outcome of 4d Hmc/4d scan workflows , my question is how can we use the final exported models as we export them as frame per second models and how we can turned them into an animation in software like maya or blender? and also most importantly due to huge amount of the file size you mentioned for the final outcome is that possible to record the existing animation in rigged character as normal animation we usually created and exported in this software or not? Awesome software I already made a few wraps. I have a question though, can the base mesh be higher resolution than the target? I understand this tool is mostly used to turn a high poly mesh into lower res clean topology. In my case the base mesh has an area that has too few polygons to capture the shape from the target model. So I subdivided the base mesh thinking now when it will wrap around it will capture more detail but my attempts failed not sure if it's due to the code that the software is not meant to do that or if it's my pc (i7 3770k gtx 970 8gb ram)

I have only used zwrap. Is it better to use wrap? I think it comes with more functionality and options, does it not? I don't plan on doing a sequence with different emotions if that is the only advantage.

Yes, wrap has much more tools. The most important ones are BlendWrapping and OpticalFlowWrapping that allow you to process sets of FACS expressions. Though, if you only need to process characters' neutrals, ZWrap should be enough.

That is a very useful tool indeed, but for me it doesn't provide good results. ( my meshes aren't so similar) Is it possible to merge points from "SelectPointPairs" and "SelectPointsWithSplines" nodes? I think not, but still asking. For me best workflow would be to still use "SelectPointpairs" and use "SelectPointsWithSplines" for complex looping areas.

You can just save your individual points from the select point pairs node to a json file (available in the node itself) and then import it with the loadPoints node (You must set the Format to Point on Triangle) and voila it works :)

If the actor and the character look similar it's possible to retarget 4D animation to the character using a naive delta-transfer approach. We will have a tutorial on that some time later
