Went from 3way sli 9800gtx+ to rtx 2060 to 4070. Will keep 4070 for many years.

4060 is the worst deskop gpu in years but the best itx/laptop gpu ever cus its as good as the desktop. Then the 4060ti is essentially just a mobile 4070. But unless it's an itx case or a laptop just avoid nvidia below like 600 dollars.

This is also the franchise that prided itself on having an immersive routine system for NPCs with A-Life. They had to scale it back severely for Stalker 2's release, and the extra NPC interactions will likely tank performance even further

A lot of problems regarding FPS would be a lot better if developers put time into actual optimization, rather than relying on AI witchcraft to artificially create the 60FPS experience. Like the games are already running poorly, but it's even worse when hardware is trying to render photorealistic fidelity- we get to the character's flawless skin pores in high detail, but at the cost of playing in 10FPS. 90% of the time I'll be nuking the settings to low and not even see the high fidelity because it's killing my hardware.

For everything except 2 i guessed correctly 😂 But i would not consider the improvements to be much. Matter of fact the improvements are minimal and it's a matter of knowing what to look for.

Frame generation is different from upscaling. There is no 4x frame generation, there is upscaling from a lower resolution, giving your GPU more time to generate more frames as it would normally. It results in a 4x fps increase, but no frame was 'generated', they all were rendered as normal. I think you're conflating some concepts here.

The only future game I'm interested in is Jurassic Park survival and marvel's wolverine and Delta force. I have a rog strix g15 with rtx3080m, and do not have any reason to ugprade it for 2 more years because the games now sucks and I rather play old games then the woke games.

the game's optimization is so ass, i can play ghost of tsushima on medium with 60 fps on my laptop, god of war ragnarok on low/mid, and I can't even play stalker 2 on the lowest, i had to use like 30 different optimization mods for the game to end up like a ps1 game and to run at 50 fps

1440p is the issue. Most gamers are using 1080p. If you play games regularly at 1440p, you are going to need more VRAM just because the frame buffer is bigger.

UE5 is a good thing for developers + companies. As stated in the video there are tons of instructions how to use the engine, specific examples how to create this and that, the UX is easy to get use to etc., etc. So it is makes it easy for potential devs to start using the engine. UE is now one of the most used and well known engines so it is easier to get people that are skilled in using it. UE5 especially gives the devs tools that make it so much easier and less time consuming to develop the games - f.e motion animations can be automatically created (f.e. if you want a character to jump over a rock), so it no longer requires the dev to create a unique animation. Still these tools can also become crutches if the devs don't know how to or get the time to optimize the game - f.e with Nanite, devs no longer are required to create LOD, saving the dev time..., BUT Nanite doesn't come without costs in performance (LOD and especially the transition from LODs to real objects, look bad, but are still more performant than Nanite)!! So during optimization devs should look at the game and tune it - f.e. for Nanite, reduce the polygon count of the models, set the distance for Nanite to do its magic, set it to combine more polygons / reduce the polygon count for distant models further... (A very extreme example for bad game design - that UE5 allows though - is to reduce fixed / set lighting as much as possible and use Ray-tracing / Lumen as much as possible for sources of light - this save the devs lots and lots of time and work, BUT it requires the players later to play the game on RTX 4090 cards and at 30FPS max) UE5 is a really great tool, but it doesn't excuse the devs from having bad game designs, it doesn't except the devs for not using it correctly / fully and it especially doesn't excuse devs and game companies from not optimizing their games!

I've been really happy with 4k 120 hz through my 42" C2 OLED I bought a few years ago as a monitor for under $900. I was even able to disable the dimming settings. You'd need a 4090 to get anything close to 240 fps over 4k on the newest/taxing games anyway. I do think the contrast of blacks really make a big enough of a difference, but not x2 if that's your only option.

Go play something like Far Cry 4 or Far Cry 5 at ultra settings @1440p and it still looks better than 80% of modern games and runs super well on weaker hardware.

Intel kept dwelling in the clock speed race.

I just got an rx5700xt for 160€ and i think that i couldn't have done a better purchase. I was a little bit scared because it is a second hand graphics card but i was shure that the drivers would be bad. I have been using a rx5500m laptop for 3 years now and i didn't have any problems unlike i had with my gtx1050ti, witch in the 8 years that i have been using it had driver issues 3 different times. Over all, i loved this graphics card and it let me play the og fortnite in 2017 and 2018, but now it's time for an upgrade

I played this on 4070ti, erly version. Lighting settings were pretty bad to balance for day-night.. and yea.. performance also was not grate

i didnt even know the game could look like this, because its optimized so bad everyone I've talked to plays it at or close to minimum graphics
