So if nvidia enabled mfg on 4000 series, the 4090 will benefit from it as it has the similar 5070ti ai tensor cores. But 4090 will then be faster in MFG rendering than 5070ti and probably 5080 when using mfg just simply due to higher clock speed and more vram

This is just like the 8000 to 9000 and 400 to 500 series back in the day. Not a true new generation. The 6000 and 7000 series should be good moving to 3nm then 2nm. What people don't realize is 3nm Rubin 6000 series is next January. They can't super refresh the 5000 series 4nm is out of juice.

considering how bad the 5080 is, we could expect the same kind of uplift for 5070ti and 5070 so +10%.. the 5070ti is gonna be behind a 4080 and the 5070 could at most match the 4070 super. it seems to be one of the worst generation ever made, some kind of rtx 40 super ... super. But that's kind of bad news because now that AMD knows how bad 5070s are going to be, do you remember the leaks about 9070xt costing $899? well ... we might have something close to that. of course we have to wait for real benchmarks of 9070s but the hopes about those GPU been priced below $500 are now gone forever, rtx 50 is so disappointing that AMD can afford to disappoint too.
