Muhammad Ali is somewhat transcendent as a boxer. You can also look at his footwork and call it a practical application of ballroom dance in boxing. I am not saying your observation iant accurate, I am just saying that Mohammed Ali is called the Greatest for a reason

People have no idea what it's like being a cop. I was a Border Patrol Agent for 10 years. So easy to smear a sworn officer. I used to joke that you do a fireable offense everyday on order to do your job. They only use it against you when it serves them

Yeah I agree with you cuz there's people that don't know how to fight and in a street fight if it's by accident or whatever they do Land one good hit and that hit usually knocks out whoever they're fighting with very quickly and quite dangerous looking so imagine somebody like Jesse or any other martial artist that dedicated I would say even the minimum of 5 to 6 years of their life let alone since they were a child up until their early thirties would be very dangerous and would be so accurate wickedly on a regular basis as opposed to somebody who would be accurate by accident

I'm an avid mediator (TM and Reiki), but have never liked thinking of my WC as spiritual type of practice. For me, MA and weight lifting keep me down to earth. That's just me though

That was so good to watch. Wing Chun can be so utilised into 52 blocks, and it would be very powerful.

Bro you wouldn't have a chance in front of Jessy. He was really out there fighting with it. You had to be in front of the guy to understand how good he is. You just looking on the outside of things.

I agree 100%. On the street, in self-defense or as a cop having deal with or detain a perp, you are not going to dance around like you are in a boxing match.

For me, I use fakes and bobbing head moves while moving in close, then use outside or inside leg throws to take down big guys and this has helped me in street fights, plus most big guys will try to grab me in close, because my WC punches are to fast for them to block up close. But these days, most fighters will try to use MMA moves on you! 😉

24:36 to be fair that was his personal issues. If we’re talking strictly about the two at their absolute best, Tyson was a really intelligent, measured and clinical fighter. The only way I see a prime Tyson (like on the night he beat Spinks) getting flustered is if his opponent took him head on and stuck it out.

My friend is trying to spread the type of Wing Chun that Sifu Sergio teaches out in Germany here in the States... the intro meditative exercises, aren't easy... and that's coming from someone who's under Gary Lam, launching guys my size or greater into mats that are a good few feet away. Saying kung fu isn't extreneous, is .. I dunno.. I've trained a few lineages of wing chun for a couple decades now and none of them weren't extreneous, it might not build the bulky muscle builder type muscles but it takes a lot of work, mentally and physically.

WSL wing chun here…my nervous system during SLT practice is complete opposite….lots of dynamic tension training the punch…lots of forward pressure without moving. I guess it depends on branch of wing chun.

But it is still using both tension and relaxation just in the proper areas correct? (Atleast that's how I would describe it anyway) It is applying both hard and soft. I believe they mean something more like what chu shong tin taught tho. Which is entirely different from all the others.
