I am SO grateful for this crossover!! A few years ago when I was reconstructing my faith after I had what I call a “Pentecostal moment” 😅, and when I was very lost and searching for biblical answers, I found Mike Winger’s channel, and the Cultish podcast, and Costi’s books. They were all instrumental in reconstructing my faith instead of deconstructing like so many do today. Thank you all for the work you do!!

Thank you so much for talking about this. My church has gotten tangled up with Bethel, and it has all been so confusing. It's hard to sort out the truths from the lies and even remember what we believed before everything changed.

In all honesty, all these all these years, I couldn't stand Benny. I mean he literally set my teeth on edge, but when you share this story? I see a very broken man I will pray for your uncle and you as well. I don't think he thought it was going to do as much damage as it did when he started out. He just wanted to make a name for himself. Unfortunately, his choices were very damaging

God saved me while I was walking an episode of Jim Bakker's show; I realized years later that was NOT God's endorsement of Jim Bakker and his false theology...it was God's sovereignty, seeking and saving me and delivering me from addiction and sin that had me so bound up that I had no hope of ever overcoming it (because guess what? I couldn't!). Years later I was able to divorce God's work on that night from what just happened to be playing on the TV. Just because someone gets healed or saved at a Benny Hinn crusade (Lord help me, I literally sang in the choir at his Boise crusade in the late 90s 🤢) doesn't mean God is endorsing him...especially when you compare with all the chicanery that happens there. Thank you for sharing this wonderful conversation! Christ loves his bride!

Have You all seen the Trey Smith Benny Hinn Expose video?.... Trey Smith, himself, is a deceived (best case scenario) minister who worships Kim Clement, BUT his video on Benny Hinn has a possible reasoning of Benny Hinn's rise to power. It is a great video, to be honest. Maybe it can help uncover some things.

I don’t discard Benny’s repentance, but people have to kind of abandon him so that it clicks in his head. …well, God Himself would have to do the clicking.

I was a frequent visitor to your Benny's church in Orlando. God used Benny in my life. I'm a grandson of Derek Prince. I knew much of what was going on ,fame destroyed him. Please be careful Mike is obsessed with Benny. God did some amazing things in Orlando. Mockery is not Godly .Blessings

Mike Winger did his research and had sources of these movements and is solid scripturally. I do believe he give a larger benefit of a doubt with some of these leaders like Bethel than I’m comfortable with but we all are on a learning curve with our own relationship with the Lord . I’m much more critical because their influence affected my life personally and the devastation it’s still wrecking in lives to close members. Mike isn’t searching them down either , he’s being asked by his followers about issues. His interviews with Biblical Scholars addressing the Passion Translation was exceptional !

@@lcollins4313 I'm 60 years old and have been walking with the Lord for over 45 years. I don't deny the ugly sins of Benny's ministry. I have seen much abuse in ministry. All I'm saying is becareful. Every person is responsible for their own walk.

For the gospel? Really? Aligning with promoters/allies of Doug Wilson? That's against the Gospel.

I watched the same conversation on Mike Winger’s and Cultish’s channel. Where I grew up and where I am in Maryland, there are only Catholic churches. I’m actually thinking about joining the Catholic faith. What do you guys think about the Catholic faith? They seem to be worshiping God very biblically, in their chants. Where I am in Germantown, there is a Catholic Church like three minutes away.
@MaxvanBrian4 ай бұрын
That is a great question, but the Roman Catholic Church does not preach the real gospel. I’d recommend watching the first “American Gospel Movie”.
@SilentSteve9394 ай бұрын
@@MaxvanBrian being totally blind, it’s hard for me to keep up with what’s happening in a movie. Is there an audio described version of it? Audio description is the process of everything being described as it’s happening on the screen. If it’s a very old movie, there’s probably no audio description because audio description didn’t exist until 2012.

Be careful not to speak against the anointed one and especially against the Holy Spirit.else you grieve him. It’s not your job to judge . Benny works good or bad he will answer to god . As Jesus wrote on the floor, anyone who thinks has not sinned pick up the first stone. Do not judge else you will be judged

I have heard of and listened up Costi Hinn but have no idea who Benny is. It sounds like he's a boomer phenomenon and YT is not a boomer only platform. Explaining who Benny is / what his ministry has taught would have been super helpful... now I'm 15 minutes in, super bored and confused and turning this off.
@SilentSteve9394 ай бұрын
He basically teaches prosperity gospel, and tricks the poor out of their money by saying that God will bless them in their finances when they give to his ministry. And basically his nephew is trying to expose him for being a grifter.

Why would you watch a video called "The Truth About Benny Hinn" if you don't know who Benny Hinn is?
@sallybyrd37124 ай бұрын
Costi, you are just using your Uncle to promote you own ministry and your book, your jealousy is so obvious. Does your father Henry support your position?
@SethEngel4 ай бұрын
Have you listened to any of the interview before you made that assumption?
@lcollins43134 ай бұрын
Seriously exposing the truth is not promoting anyone but our Lord Jesus Christ. Costi talks very affectionately of his uncle even here, and yes his father is very aware of Costi’s position and has also left Benny Hinn’s movement . The Hinn family dynamic is explained well by Costi and he wants to see his Uncle repent and have a true relationship with Jesus Christ. We are called to preach the Word and rebuke those who twist the gospel for lascivious lifestyle. Taking desperate peoples finances so you can enjoy a suite in a Hotel for $25,ooo needs exposed. This interview was a fair account of the movement and Costi was delivered and saved out of it.
