Serious a total foolish video, drop that beer and try to be a little more serious. Buy a tool, that is made for it.

Great explanation and demonstration. Seems to me that resetting the rivets on the links with a ball peen hammer would be a better option if you were in a bind with no spare chain.

After hours of fighting this saw, watching your quick video. A wrench and vice got the saw back together. Thanks we owe you a beer

Remember the old briggs engines had the over running clutch on the crankshaft that should be lubricated at this time also

So the rotation of the line changes from curved shaft to straight shaft only because of the head? The rotation of the engine is the same? No need to change cable?

Hey Steve, the guy you referred to as Rick that ran straight gas in his chainsaw and destroyed the top end. My question is. Does that generally affect the short block, crank bearing, rod, etc. Asking for a friend 😊.

I watch the tipping lawnmower video. Thanks a lot. Great video as always. You have helped me so much. Merry Christmas Steve. I wish I knew how to tip over my 42" mower, tractor. Tired of trolley jacks & wood laying on my back on card board trying to clean the deck. LOL

For once I'm not on the same page with Steve. I've replaced or rebuilt a few carbs over the years, and they're so cheap, the extra money for the fad fuel in say, a year, could buy a boxfull of them, plus pay for my time. That said, I do run my mix oils a bit rich, and i mostly use 2 stroke motorcycle or marine oils that seem to keep my spark screens and plugs clean. Never hammer on any stone cold engine either.

I replaced my carburetor entirely and it's surging . Can't see how a brand new carburetor needs cleaning . I cannot find a page on how to "adjust" a carburetor. Mine in for a Kohler riding mower motor

Do I have to use sealant form carberateur to engine along with gasket? If so can you recommend what kind? This is an old McCullouch promac 850chainsaw

Thanks for the info bud. I have my chains filed to the line well before they are that worn but anything is possible. Great info for sure. The pitch not matching is a sure fire way to ruin your sprockets. Thanks for sharing.
