I have been in the church 60+ years. I wore the one-piece garments originally and they were definitely difficult when I had children. I love the two pieces! My most difficult challenge now is with shoulders often falling down my arms or legs bottoms bunching up under my pants. I'm grateful for them and feel they have saved me from being burned from a fire though so I won't complain!!😊 It's great we have different styles to choose from!

#1 I love the new stretch cotton, but the seams are constantly coming apart! The waistband, especially, seems to come off within just a couple of weeks of buying them. #2 I'm so frustrated with the ambiguity/cultural understanding around whether or not to wear them to the gym. I get that we're supposed to make decisions for ourselves and that we're not supposed to be commanded in all things. But I hear so many women say that they feel like sweating in their garments when they workout is disrespectful to them. I don't think that's true, because missionaries are required to wear them when they workout, even in super hot, humid climates. They wouldn't be required to do that if it were wrong. I workout HARD and wearing them to the gym has never once been an issue. I feel like so many girls use it as an excuse to be able to buy immodest exercise clothes. I understand that that's between them and God, and I don't mean to be judgemental. But it doesn't seem in line with the current counsel. But I feel lonely and prudish being the only one who wears them to the gym, even among my faithful friends. And that loneliness and the feelings of judgment from the other side are a genuine challenge for me.

The stretch cotton top is awesome. The low crew is the perfect cut to go with a t-shirt. It doesn’t stick out and you don’t see its outline underneath your clothes the way the round cut (aka the eternal smile cut) shows through. The bottoms are too thin in my opinion for most of the fabrics. The cotton poly blend is alright, but most of them aren’t super substantial. Which, as a germaphobe, is a primary consideration for underwear. Fashion wise or comfortability I have no complaints, but I only tuck in my top with a Sunday shirt anyway.

My challenge is what fabric to buy. I have a problem with the cold and so in winter I buy cotton because to me they are warmer. But I really like the care was.

I wear the one piece when I wear dresses.And the new 2 piece is wonderful with jeans and shirts because the new top clings so well it doesn't ride up! If the new 2 pieces were a slightly lighter fabric and still could have the breatheability and clingy stretch, that would be awesome.

Pretty happy with the stretch cotton top and mesh bottom for every day wear. We need a real moisture wicking top tho for strenuous activities Iike hiking. I’m hoping the coming “Dry Stretch” material will be the ticket! Military members can buy Under Armour tech tees and send them to Beehive to have the marks put in. I don’t know if this is feasible on a large scale but something similar would be great.

I find that if I just order tall-sized tops, even though I’m a petite gal, I never have to worry that my top and bottom will come untucked. I also love the newest fabric option and design. It’s really well thought out, with moisture wicking panels in all the right places and so much more comfortable. I’m not sure what a better design might be, but I’m eternally grateful we aren’t still dealing with the insanity of one-piece garments!!!

I buy tall tops because I have a long torso. And they still aren't long enough. After a few washes they still untuck. Nothing ever stays tucked on for the backside.

I loved the garments since I got them 35 years ago. The more I learn about the significance of the garment from the temple and cosmos book from Hugh Nibley just makes me love them even more. If one kind doesn’t work for you, try a different fabric or size.

Could do something like golf pants where they use thin rubber lines/patterns on the inside of the waist to help create friction with the shirt.

My issue is that I have very short legs and even the "petite" size of the bottoms are way too long on me. Like way past my knees. Basically they're capris on me! So that's frustrating.

Love listening to u! Im looking forward to when u talk about all this! My biggest problem is making sure their not so long in the knee that they dont show in my very long and modest shorts. I love wearing them but have a hard time in extreme heat finding a fabric that doesnt stick and make me an even hotter mess and claustrophobic. Thanks for asking our opinions 🙂

I wear mine for everything short of swimming. As a man i dont worry if my garment collar shows under my button up shirt ot something, but i know for my wife it feels like they shouldn't show at all, which can be a challenge.

I miss the Dri Lux material option. At first I was annoyed they didn't sell military garments any more so I had to buy expensive 3rd party clothing to send into Beehive clothing for them to turn them into garments, but its kind of nice having more options for materials in military colors. That and I dont have to ruin white ones with oil, mud, etc.

If a top fastened onto a bottom it would have small but bulky buttons on the waist and maybe seen through ones dress. Also everyone is different in length of torso. All in ones are either with an open gusset worn with undies of ones choice or wide colette type legs which are great in summer but no good for that time of month as they lack a good gusset. I know it means a double layer round the middle but separates as they are can not be improved on in my opinion. I love your shows. Love from England ❤

I like them, but I wish the hens could be more subtle. It can be hard when I put pants on and feel like I can see the outline of the shorts. That's probably my biggest complaint. I generally wear drisilk.

I wish there were different colors e.g. black, blue, etc. Since the newer more supportive type with spandex came out, it's been much better. Still, having a wider variety of cloth and thick and thin would be nice. Also, other types of mens sports briefs are far more resilient, whereas the garment tends to wear quicker. Granted, I'm wearing the garment more often, but I'm also not engaging in strenuous physical activity like I do 6-days a week at the gym with the other sport brief.

The bottoms are too long for us short women lol I’ve just started wearing garments and I’m still getting used to them but I know I don’t want to see them sticking out when I’m wearing a skirt or dress..even though they are at my knees you can still see them when I walk. Also a more square neck would be nice. lol

My challenge was tight armpit holes causing itch and discomfort, and thankfully they have addressed this problem with one model which is the one I buy now. But I’ve never thought of not wearing my garments when the arm holes were uncomfortable, I have complete faith in the garments.

My challenge is the length and sizing. I'm a curvy girl so I need something that's between a small and a medium. The small fits perfect in the crotch area but it's too tight around the hip/waist. I also don't like how much longer they are for me, meanwhile tall girls can be wearing the same size but get around wearing shorter clothing.
@janice2992
@janice2992 4 сағат бұрын
I was tall and slim my garment bottoms were too short. They are supposed to be just below knee length. When kneeling up our skirt should just touch the floor that is the minimum length. However typically a knee length skirt is on the knee rather than under the knee making shopping more difficult. Dressmaking skills have saved me tons of money over the years. ❤

LOL, GusGus or Winnier the Pooh. Get the 'tall' version of your top if you wear 2pc. That will correct the gap you feel. I've NEVER had a problem with them (lucky me, I know). But then again my background with a seamstress mom AND my willingness to do what I know GOD needs me to do just made it a non-issue after a month or so. I'm rare, I know. If you overthink too much about anything - including one's own perception of how others see us/perceive us - creates the issues you've mentioned. Too, I've become my own version of an 'efficiency expert'. and only regard what my Heavenly Father, our Savior (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Ghost think of me. Everyone else (including my own ideas/perceptions) can go kick rocks. Hopefully this is more helpful than most might think.

My 2 cents. 1. I wish the men’s brief/boxer openings were designed a little differently where your goodies don’t get caught in it while walking. Then you have to do an awkward jig and tug to line everything back up. 2. More top sizing options would be nice. It is difficult for me to find something that fits my shoulder lengths but also doesn’t continue to my knees. I’m 5’8”. When its super long like that it bunches where tucked and is uncomfortable.

Would it help if the bottoms were a bigger size? I am female. A top tucked into bottoms will always rise when one lifts their arms. Fatter people do not tuck a top in it looks better out and you have more chance of it dropping back into place if you are not wearing a belt.

The biggest challenge with garments is that for me, the men's bottom garment is too tall, as measured from the crotch to the top. About 2 to 2 1/2 inches too tall. All my pants and jeans are below the belly button, I do not wear high waisted jeans, so they do not fit properly without folding them over several times, which defeats the purpose. I'm working with the church on getting a custom fit, which is possible. You just have to call them. The top fits just fine, I don't even think about it.

@janice2992 The fact that you had an accident and you were miraculously saved only where the garments were, is not indicative of actual proof that they have a physical manifestation that prevents harm. People die in car accidents everyday, and they have their garments on. People die without their garments everyday. So there's no correlation. The church has never specifically stated the garments are a physical barrier against physical harm. It is a spiritual protection. But you continue to believe whatever you want to believe.

For the sticking out, I find that longer tops (tall size) stay in better (cons as well), as well as cotton, since other fabrics slip and slide more. I personally wouldn’t want them to connect! I mostly have no issues at all (I’m likely in the minority), but if there was one thing I’d add, it would be other material options. Day to day is fine with the current options, but when I go backpacking or hiking, cotton is a no-no and the polyester options aren’t wicking, stick to me, etc. They do dry quickly but that’s it. It would be amazing if there was a wool blend or other “athletic” fabric that would breathe, absorb sweat, and dry quickly. That said, I know it’s not likely feasible from a monetary standpoint. People buy merino underwear for this purpose, but it’s not cheap.

I'm pretty happy with the current options. The cotton mesh are the best ever in the hot, dry, desert. I hear you about the bunching and tucking and untucking though. The styles have changed a lot in the 50 years since my endowment. I clearly remember the one piece, and they were a trial. I have to add that I love my temple garments. I am grateful for them.
