The Wedge , still my favorite hood design , technology has made snowmobiles way to expensive , 1998 , $5450 for a XC 700 snow checked , 2002 , $6450 for a XCSP 800 , top of the line back then , today $20K plus to ride top of the line , Crazy Man Crazy , put that in your pipe and smoke it ?

If manufacturers came out with Old Machines 90’s & early 2000’s , 5K to 8K $ , 600 to 800 motors , old technology , I bet they’d sell out fast ! I’d buy one ! Did a complete restoration on my 2004 Switchback 700 , seat, hood , handles bars are stock yet , over $17K in receipts , not counting 250 hours of my time , 2 summer project , completed in 2022 , threw the SLP catalog at it , Slydog skis , only thing I didn’t buy from SLP was new temp sensors for my exhaust manifold. Sent in my old one so they could weld up a crack , they lost it ! But they sent me a brand one to replace it , so I sent the temp sensors back , didn’t want to drill holes in my new manifold ! And I can read piston wash , runs 480 mains ,

I'm the world of modified jet skis those silicone couplers are used for exhaust hoses. Best way to put them on is make sure they're completely clean and free of any grease/oil with brake cleaner then use Windex and only Windex as lube for assembly. Windex makes them slip on easily and it dries out completely, after they've been together for a while it's hard to get them apart even after removing the hose clamp. Any trace of grease and they don't hold anywhere near as well.
