You said nothing if Cumani tribes or the Romanian kingdoms, Moesia was a natural border between Rome and the Barbarian tribes and Rome drew plenty of resources from here

Basically Lancastrians were traitors. After they seized the throne after battle of Bosworth they planned to not enforce English interests in France like Eduard III. Richard III he wanted to fight the France. Henry the VIII he killed over 70 000 citisens of England who didn't agreed with his rein. Tudors were psychopats and very weak warlords as we know Henry the VII fled from the battle field of Bosworth and "art" from Shakespeare was mere propaganda made for order from Tudors...

0:10 Edward III didn’t restore, rather he created Dukedom’s in England. There is a significant difference as there were no duke’s before his time - highest rank in the non-royal nobility being Earl. The power of the Dukes caused problems, so it is pertinent to make this distinction. Really important to Englands history as it’s clear we weren’t able to deal with this alteration to the hierarchical structure. It infamously opened a can of worms - from this point onwards - and that’s why it’s crucial to mention it was the FIRST time Dukedoms were created

If you’re going to give history lessons, you should REALLY take the time to learn the correct pronunciations of names and places. The Battle of Towton and the Beaufort line deserve that.

Reconquista is to reconquer what was already there before. And what was there before was a single Christian Kingdom in Hispania with its capital in Toledo. So the reconquista is the RECONQUEST or RESTORATION OF HISPANIA, when neither Portugal, nor Catalonia, nor Castile existed yet and everyone in Iberia was HISPANIC.
@frapiment62397 сағат бұрын
The people in Hispaniae peninsula were not "Hispanic", since Hispaniae was a geographic location the same as today's Iberian Peninsula. The Roman Empire was divided into provinces according to tribes and administrative reasons and the Iberian Peninsula (Península Hispaniae) was divided into Lusitania, Baetica and Terraconensis, so before the "reconquest" they were for the Romans Lusitanians, Beticans and Terraconenses in the Peninsula Iberian,
@micupedro3 сағат бұрын
@frapiment6239 The term Hispanic did not refer to an ethnic group or race, it refers to the inhabitants of a place: Hispania. Just as the term American, Colombian or Brazilian does not refer to an ethnic group or race, but to a place. Hispanics were all the inhabitants of Hispania, both Lusitanians, Beticos, Tarraconensis or later Galicians and Cartaginensis. And all of them were called and considered themselves Hispanics at the time of the Reconquista, as recorded in many chronicles and in the words of the Leonese, Catalans, Navarrese, Castilians and Portuguese themselves; you only have to read what their own kings said and wrote.

Well i respect the people of spain but i have to say this, know what you lost with al andalus. Al Andalus was the greatest civilisation in the medieval Europe. It protected spain from the European dark age.. In al andalus all religions were treated with respect. Whether it was was Christian or jews.. Al Andalus produced the greatest scholars in world at the time. In short you lost so many to reconquesta and your greatest lost was your lose of islam
@historystuff.283523 сағат бұрын
We've built far greater kingdoms than Al Andalus, we don't want your filthy cult in this world, this world belongs to Jesus, your days are numbered infidel.
@Tago-h1b14 сағат бұрын
Al-Andalus was, in fact, the most advanced civilization in Europe until the 12th century, when with the arrival of the Almoravids and the Almohads, other religions and culture were persecuted. On the other hand, the dimmis or infidels (Jews and Christians) were not respected, at most tolerated, and always 3rd class citizens. The Reconquista and Christianity were the bases of the Spanish Empire, so we Spaniards lost nothing, those who lost everything were the Muslims.
@abduljaleel44678 сағат бұрын
@Tago-h1b that's incredibly ignorant of you brother. Sure almoravids were extremists but nothing compares to reconquista bigots. Even other european countries of that time had a hard time with reconquista due to there mania. From this video you might think reconquista fought with honour but no what they relied on was scorched earth tactics and civilian massacres. And you say dhimmis (which means protected class) this system is still in place in other countries even today in other secular names like minority rights or protective discrimination and the taxes the minorities payed were way less in islam, so i genuinely don't understand your problem with the dhimmi system
@historystuff.28358 сағат бұрын
@@abduljaleel4467 did you just blatantly lie, the dhimmi "protected class" had to pay way more taxes, as for your comment about the reconquista being nothing but a series of foul tactics on the part of the Christians is completely flawed, the only reason it took so long to remove the 1nf1del from Iberia was because there were in fighting among the christians, only when they United did they rid your ilk from Spain, how dare you reduce the feats of Queen Isabella and Ferdinand to your your version of intellectually dishonest depiction of the events.
