The men that severed are some of the finest people this world will ever see. No matter where they go and no matter what they do they'll be remembered as the elites. We owe those men the biggest thank you and every cast member of the show band of brothers for showcasing their legacy for the world to see. I dont think there will be a greater team than easy company and if their is then it wont be in our lifetime

I watched the series for the first time right before Christmas. Started by second time through earlier this passed week. Thank you so much for this and the other videos. I'm reading Capt Winters' book right now and Guarnere and Luz's book is next.

Great stuff, My Uncle, Sgt Louis B Flores of Louisiana, was a member of the 506th also - splitting time between Easy and HQ companies. He knew all the guys portrayed in the show, and had told me to read BoB if I wanted to know what it was like.

Great video. I found similar in my research on the topic for The Games: Blood and Spectacles. I have also seen reference in some wargames to a Scissori Gladiator type, but based on my research it did not look like that was an actual gladiator type. It seemed like just a corruption of the Arbelas gladiator. If someone knows differently, please let me know and reply, I would love to see it!

Loved it. Narration was excellent as well as the content. As for other periods or miniatures, I'd love to see how one tackles a big WW2 army in a small scale, namely 3mm Pico Armor tanks and troops.

Wow, this brought back memories of my Dad. He was a Marine vet of Korea. The description of Bill by his son, "He didn't have much but he would give you what he had but don't cross him" described my dad to a T. Almost made me cry thinking of him. All those guys were real men. Lost but not forgotten. I had the honor of watching the series with my Dad before he passed and I could tell it hit him. I remember things now from my childhood and know now as an adult he had demons.

I don't know how it is now but in the 70s - 90s (the time frame I remember & was involved) I know for a fact that if the VA could screw these men out of a nickel they would. Trying to get 100% disability was like pulling teeth with tweezers. My grandparents owned (& ran) what could be best called a foster home for disabled veterans (I helped in the 80s & 90s but had grown up around these men). They were veterans who could function but needed to be medicated & watched & their families didn't want to take care of them. And I say didn't instead of couldn't because in all the years my grandparents had the home, & out of all the men who lived there, only ONE had a family member visit them regularly. As a matter of fact my grandfather was in charge of many of their medical & financial decisions because the families didn’t want to be involved. Of course, after every one of these heroes passed all of a sudden there were family members out the wazoo looking to see if there was any money they had left in their accounts. Anyway, I went on a bit of a rant there, the VA also treated these men (WWII; Korean & Vietnam) like guinea pigs. They'd be doing good on their medications & all of a sudden the doctor at the VA would change their meds. And it wasn't one or two guys...it was every guy at their next doctor appointment to the same medication. It was very frustrating, especially to my grandparents who had taken care of these men since the 50s. I really hope our government is doing better for our veterans now 😔 😡

24:57 being awake during an amputation is nothing new. My aunt had her right arm amputated under a local anesthetic after a car accident (she was 40 at the time), and my grandmother had her right ring finger amputated under a local when she was 82 ... and that's just MY family, how many others share similar stories?
@papercliphat4305Күн бұрын
Shut up. Don’t compare your aunt or grandmother to Wild Bill. They don’t even come close in comparison. This documentary is about an absolute warrior, not some lady who had her arm or finger removed what a joke. The world needs more Wild Bills in it.

I was so very fortunate to meet Bill at his home in South Philly. I called him from the Jersey shore. He told me his address adding that we can come over and visit until 6:00 because he was joining Babe Hefron for dinner then. He was so kind and generous to me and my family, too many stories to relate here. We know him as the soldier l got to meet the man. I will never forget the impression he made on me.

Great production quality gents. Love the energy and banter. A couple of suggestions would be - sometimes zooming right down to show the miniatures during the game (I'm sure that's probably easier said than done) and also display the front cover of the rules being used down in a corner of the screen, so people joining mid-stream can quickly see the game being played. Keep up the great work!
