can you share a video of how you made this pick up jimny ? I wish to do the same with my jimny, making it pickup vehicle and i wish i could understand the way of making it. how did you measure the size of cutting and how you re-connect the back of it.

Did any of you guys installed reduction gears(T-Case gears) or crawler gears to compensate larger tyres?
@TheLittleRigАй бұрын
Yes mate absolutely. I have 17% high range reductions and 87% low range. This is ideal for 31-32” tyres. If it had been available way back when I did mine I would have got 115% low range to really make it crawl.
@srikrishnacj4965Ай бұрын
@@TheLittleRig Which brand did you installed? Can you suggest some brands or links? I can't find the 17%/87% for 2023 AT model(5 door)? I only intended to use 235/75/15(30inch) tyres mostly. Can you point some online store ref in Australia?

Hi You were mentioning about reduction gears after installing lockers are they required to done while installing lockers
@TheLittleRig3 ай бұрын
Hi mate, nah the reduction gears actually don’t have any relation to the lockers. The gears are for bringing your rev range back to factory standard when you put large tyres on. Or, if you want very slow crawling ability off-road.

@@TheLittleRig sorry to trouble you once again. Had a few queries regarding installation of ARB rear locker for my Jimny 1) Does the installation affect the overall performance and mileage of the vehicle 2) Since the air locker is just used when necessary and in such situations say for example you are ascending a steep hill with a turn to either the right or left, Will the locker and axle get damaged when you turn your steering in such situations. 3) Since there is a change in differential step up after installing air locker and it becomes an open differential in normal usage does it affect the drivability of the vehicle on Tarmac
@TheLittleRig3 ай бұрын
honestly they won’t affect day to day driving at all. You won’t notice them when they are not engaged.

Hi Had a few query before installing an air locker on my Jimny 1) Does the fitment of an air locker affect the overall performance of the vehicle and fuel mileage 2) Since air lockers are used only sparingly when situations warrant most of the time it is going to be an open differential hence does it affect the cornering performance on normal roads since the differential set up has changed and does that affect the drive quality on Tarmac when they are disengaged. 3) Like what is shown in the video, the two tracks had sudden turns the first on the left and the second track had a turn to the right so since the locker was engaged prior to ascending the terrain do the axle and locker get damaged when you take that turn.

The main modifications I did to mine was to lift it 15mm with beefier King Springs, put Koni absorbers and bigger 215/80/R15 tyres (around 3cm more clearance!). I find it super capable off road, to be honest, and still very good on the road (or as good as a Jimny can be). That said, I use it to go to places, not rock crawling or anything like that 😊
