I've done home improvements on new builds, I would never buy one, the workmanship is shocking to put it politely, price work breeds shoddy work.

It's a tricky one,but a start would be,do away with price work, have all trades and materials where and when they needed and probably most importantly stop throwing houses up in 12 weeks to squeeze the most profit out of everything and everything body .... I doubt anyone on site nowadays gives a flying fxxx about what they're building ❤

This is because house developers pay the tradesmen to build these properties peanuts per hour and the average price of these new build houses in the UK is £500k and the land it’s built on is leasehold as well with a ground rent that doubles every year for another nice kickback for the developer shareholders…..

Remember the old saying the house that jack built lol. Not funny as people now days are forced to buy this crap it’s not right as the house completely finished. As a trades man myself I can tell you the only way this does not happen is you have a better project manager to do his job properly through the stages of being built starting with the foundation checked and done properly rhen the brickwork etc etc

Using masonry wall anchors on a plasterboard wall is something I've seen a lot, but why the actual f**k are they putting them in the mortar line? You can literally put them any where else for God sake! Another "I'm going to get a new build to avoid any drama" horror story here mate, keep up the good work!

Typical inspector. Criticizes everyone has no idea how to fix it. Don't you love paying somebody hundreds of dollars who has no idea how to fix any problem they see. My cousin's eleven year old child is an inspector too and he's just as certified as this guy is.

The Building Co. puts all of the trades on price work (piece work) and this is the result. Everyone trips over each other to make a profit and they all work at 500 MPH. It doesn’t work and never will. I’m an Electrician and have witnessed this frequently.
