I have a custom 3.3 Nitro sport that eats Jato 3.3's on pavement. Yes it's a Sport and not a Rustler. I've won 7 Jato's in a row for "pinks" because most people think the jato is the fastest nitro Traxxas ever made besides the 4-tec because it has a 2-speed transmission. You'd be surprised what a cheap custom made single speed nitro truck could do with the right mods.

200 temp gives best performance I had 6 of them 2.5 2.5R 3.3 .26picco

Best engine for me was an OS .18tz. I put a MugenSeiki 1/8 onroad engine in it and it was just too powerful. Thise disc brakes were shreaded

What gearing would you using to only get 56 Mi an hour without OS? I can get 63 with my 3.3 I hit 76 with my OS just wondering what what gears are on in

Hell yeah!!! Still got mine, i rebuild the motors, shocks and diffs on bi annual basis. Running it nicely just as you did here once or twice a month but i tear the rc down sometimes and store it. I also cut the body up like you did but i added mesh like chicken wire for support.

Forgot to say tires for the Aftershock! T-maxx tires available anywhere, lol.

I currently have 3 tmaxx's and the Losi Aftershock. Im just wondering if you have or know of a source for the stock oem tires? Mine aren't too good, all dry rotted from the previous owner letting it sit kn a shelf in the sunlight for 3 or 4 years before selling it. Love the channel!❤👍

Hi Eric, it takes 4 tanks to get a descent break in. OS is a true big block. O.S TZ.18 is the real powerhouse for 1/10. Just my 2 cents.

I already had my t max 3.3 up to 44 straight out of the box . After break in of course! I only leand out the high speed needle one eighth of a turn

The speed difference assuming gearing is same is just due to the fact that the 3.3 is small block that revs higher, may have less power but peak rpm will be higher than the os so itll spin those wheels faster reaching a higher top speed. U should see these things go 75mph with a race spec .15 touring car engine that'll spin close to 50k rpm.few guys on here that got novarossi's in em. Weeeeeeeeee!

I have had my jato 15 years and I barely have 2 gallons ran through the engine. LOL I pulled it apart and cleaned it all up since it sat 10 years. Rediscovering the car now since I never really played with it. That aluminum case on the tranny..... No longer sold??

I know this is a older vid but I just bought a T Maxx that supposedly has 3 tanks of fuel through it, so looking up some nitro content by the looks of the bottom of chassis and some other parts I kind of believe the 3 tanks or so...anyway gonna clean it up and get it running and burn some nitro...engine is free and has compression...so got a little project for now...great content and your Jatos are sweet hopefully I'll find one of those next or maybe buy a new one...👍👍💯
