We go there twice a year to ride. The people are poor but so kind. I’m hoping Trump opens coal up again like he did in 2016. The place was doing much better back then. Praying for the folks in WV.

How did Daltons husky do in the paved twistys?
@fazbeargaming719612 сағат бұрын
as a West Virginian, its sad that we even had a city named Welch which was called little Ney York. But when your economy is based on only coal and nothing else, it makes ur state just slow down and eventually become poor and empty.
@shawng790215 сағат бұрын
The state may not make a lot as a whole. But, there is still an absolute ton of money around here. Cost of living is insane compared to the other areas. See what a million dollars buys you in an area like that.

I live very close to here and often visit these trails, sure the area isn't greatly rich but it's a wonderful experience. Just be careful of ❄️ heads

As far as falling the clutch is your friend. If you stall you fall. Slipping the clutch doesn't burn up a wet clutch. Just don't scream the revs up.

STAND STAND STAND. Don't ever sit. That's offload step 1. As far as the rock faces and steps, face them head on, keep a finger over the clutch and try to pop the front wheel up a bit. it doesn't have to come completely over the face of the rock either. If it hits somewhere in the middle, using that throttle will pick you right over.

My KLX 250 is mainly for off road and single track. To make it a decent trail bike I replaced the rear sprocket with a 52 tooth. It sucks on the road but it will climb now. It performed great on the mountain passes in Colorado, the Hatfield McCoy trails in WV, and the local trails I ride in Tennessee, N. Carolina, and Alabama.

We’re not poor as much as staying in areas that have zero jobs. The locals stayed when the jobs went to Mexico and overseas. Every ship that’s from China in our ports is another family without a job or home to live.

Question how does it *shift gears* is it very notchy?
@toddsmith86085 күн бұрын
Call me an old codger but is your criteria for riding off road as simple as "Welp, I don't see a No Trespassing sign, so I"m good?" Be careful during hunting season, I guess. Personally, I enjoy the ride a lot more knowing I'm allowed to be where I'm riding, but that's just me. Stay safe out there.

You have to be careful with your sprocket gearing changes and don't overdo it. You need to understand where your overall ratios are at because, if you change your sprocket ratios too much you will simply be eliminating a gear. For example; your 1st gear becomes almost useless and your 2nd gear is now essentially the same overall ratio that your 1st gear was before the sprocket changes. Your bike rpm in 6th gear at a given speed will be the same as where you once were in 5th gear and you will always be grabbing for another gear that's not there on the road. The maximum performance you can gain would be if you could split your overall gear ratios and make your 2nd gear rev out like a 1 1/2 gear and your 1st gear would be like a 1/2 gear now.

People from here talk about how beautiful our state is. Not how poor. It's the second lowest household income in the nation. We're #1 in opioid dependency, Depression, and obesity over any other state in the nation. Poverty is a generational disease. Come visit. See the sights. THEN GO BACK HOME WHERE YOU CAN MAKE A LIVING. 💯

Function is a relative term. Scrip pay trapped people in mining town more than it enticed them to stay.

Be careful on these twisty WV roads, it is beautiful but can be dangerous. Lost my best friend two years ago to the beautiful riding that’s available in this state. Take care out there riders. Next time you wanna give er’ Hell, make sure you save some Hell to give next time, and don’t go overkill😔🖤

Hi Derek, just recently found your channel. I've had many dualsports myself but not a KLX of any sort yet. I like what you're doing with your channel. I'm curious where these rides are. I'm in NC near the Uwharrie National Forest, which sucks. I like the places you ride. Thanks and keep up the good work!
