Now I'm not saying you should do this... But I just had one pumped that hadn't been done since 1996. Besides some roots, it was a miracle. Just some sludge, almost no scum, and only one wipe was seen. It helps when the place is only used 4 months out of the year.

Also, I had to go buy a new lid because one was stuck so bad it broke. It was 26" round and 5" thick. I sure wish it was the size in this video... Very close to throwing out my back.
