When there is a huge Tamil population next to Jaffna to bring many Tamil soldiers from then there is no wonder that the Jaffna kingdom would have been powerful. Tamilnaadu population is about 5 times the Sinhalese population.

There was a family of six sisters who had the surname " Sethukawalar" , residing in Kaluwella, Galle until the seventies. They were teachers at Sacred Heart Convent,Galle and were our neighbours during that time. There are no known descendents since all the ladies were unmarried. It is very interesting to know the origin of the name , because they were thought to be of the community called the " Colombo Chetties" . Vishaka de Silva Galle
