The biggest thing is to stop eating processed foods, seed oils, flour products, sugar (including maltodextrin), potatoes, corn, rice (starchy, high carb foods). Ive lost 22" total in 3mos. And I feel like Im 35 again! After trying different diets this is the one that works for me, its easy for me to stick to (Keto). Its healed my gut too.

I read that cassia Cinnamon can cause issues, but Ceylon Cinnamon is safe because it does not contain as much coumarin. The biggest advantage of Ceylon Cinnamon is ultra-low Coumarin levels. Coumarin in high doses causes liver failure, so for people who take Cinnamon on a daily basis, Ceylon Cinnamon is the preferred choice.

I use 2/3 water, 1/3 organic rolled oats, chia, flax, cinnamon, ACV, and 1/2 cup of mango. Put in sealed jar in the fridge and enjoy the next morning!! You can warm up or eat cold.

I was diagnosed with NAFLD last year.. Years ago in my twenties (I'm 59 now) I had a scan and was told back then I had a fatty liver. I didn't really know what that meant. In 2014, my mother died at 80 from complications in untreated Lymphoedema which is hereditary. We found out she also had cirrhosis of the liver. She never drank. She didn't overeat. Both are hereditary. I began to have extreme symptoms of NAFLD last year & brought it to the attention of my DR. Test's were done, liver is infiltrated with fat. I'm 4'10" & struggle with weight. I don't overeat &. I eat good, healthy foods when I do eat. I'm sugar sensitive so carbs & sweets are rare. I now work with a nutritionist. I also have Lyme's disease, and asthma with which I fight inflammation. My Dr. said eat a Mediterranean diet & lose weight. Dah! No real concern. Day by day I feel worse. I am going to seriously give this a try Dr. Mandell. Thank you for your loving kindness in bringing healthy measures & helps to take control of our own health. May God richly bless you!

I used to use chia seeds quite often, it's been a few years since I've done that, but I'm glad to be reminded about it again. One of the best things about the chia seeds is that you put them in water, stir them around so they don't get clumped together, and then drink them with added lemon/cranberry/whatever real flavoring you wish to add, and the chia seeds will create a cell membrane around them that make them nearly undetectable as you're drinking it. No need to blend at all, the membrane of water they create around themselves make them slick and actually difficult to even attempt to chew if you tried. This is the perfect drink to make to ensure you stay hydrated over a long period of time. A perfect semi-fasting recipe. On top of this, they're very high in protein too, so it makes for a perfect pre/or/post workout drink. Thanks for the reminder Dr. Mandell.

I drank something similar you recommended with lemon juice, chia seeds and cinnamon. I realised the other day it did help me lose weight effortlessly. Even with a bit of honey.

Thanks Doc. looking forward to this one. Regular cinnamon has a bitter taste but Vietnamese Cinnamon is so flavorful and sweet tasting too. Amazon has World Wide Botanical Brand organic that I have been using for years. Way cheaper and great when mixed into my coffee grounds.

@@ErsCook the gastroenterologist advised me to have liver fibroscan. But I haven't done it yet due to budget constraints. Thus, I intend to try the natural way such as this tip from Dr. Mandell.

It also isn't Bragg's anymore. They've removed the s so it's just Bragg and it is so diluted it's worthless in my opinion.
