Over 12 years ago, I was diagnosed with cirrhosis affecting about 10-15% of my liver. I was never told anything about fatty liver. I was told to reduce my salt intake and to be careful of what I eat. Over the years, I herd from friends about fatty liver but I never associated it with my cirrhosis. I assumed it was two different problems. Now that I am having new symptoms like pains in my right foot, pains on my right side and shoulder. I didn't understand the cirrhosis condition because I was not much of a drinker. Sure, I found myself drunk a few times but my drinking habits were minimal because I could drink one beer and be drunk so I didn't like drinking at parties and be wasted before the party even got started. I was watching KZbin vids one day and all of a sudden a health vid showed up on prostate problems and urinating. I just happen to be having that problem in my life as well. I watched the vid and then the vids starting talking about fatty liver. As I watched the first vid on the liver, I could see the problem with my cirrhosis. I know that cirrhosis damage is permanent but the rest can heal completely. I just hope that my liver is not too far gone to last me several more years without having to have a transplant. I lost my wife of 18 years four years ago. We never had even one argument in those 18 years. When she passed away, I had just told her I love her, reached for a Pepsi for her, turned back to her and she had died that quick. She had a brain bleed that took her instantly. I was devastated. For the next two years, my diet was 98% fast food and garbage. I have changed my diet, I have lost a few pounds and I am trying to stay healthy. Wish me luck.

@@drdecorator9532 Possibly, a fermented plant-based milk. And since he mentioned "whole milk", which is the type of milk that the fat wasn't removed, maybe choose a nut milk that contains some fat. Opposite to a rice milk that would not have as much fat. I’ve been drinking this for about 6 days straight already and I can say that it is definitely an anti inflammatory shake. All of my liver pain goes away after consuming this. Update: I no longer have a fatty liver. My test showed “NO EVIDENCE OF STEATOSIS”. I think what contributed to my healing was a combination of a strict keto diet, some OMAD here and there, intermittent fasting 18:6, only organic nutrient dense foods, losing all of my belly fat. Not that I was fat, I was 115 pounds at the time and now I’m 105. I also took bile salts, vitamin D, ate eggs every morning for the choline in them, ate cruciferous vegetables everyday, kept insulin very low, kept blood sugar low, milk thistle tea everyday, apple cider vinegar everyday day after meals or whenever I had liver pain because it was anti inflammatory, ate a lot of avocado because they protect the liver also because I just love them. Fatty fish for the omega 3s, sprinkled turmeric on my foods, lots of leafy greens. Stayed away from toxins, even lipstick and makeup, perfumes, toxic personal care products, I also drank this shake a lot. But I think the most powerful things were just doing strict keto and intermittent fasting. Very powerful those two.

Determined to turn things around, I ditched carbs, sugars, and processed foods and swapped them for a daily powerhouse smoothie of kale, kefir, and blueberries. Fast forward to today, August 30th, and my MRI results are nothing short of miraculous - 'no fatty liver.' Huge thanks to Dr. Berg for the invaluable advice that literally changed my health journey! Thank you for this video Dr. Berg! I make a daily shake as well. I use 2 kale leaves, 1 Swiss chard leaf, some Italian flat leaf parsley, some organic avocado (1/2), fermented greens with probiotics and fermented mushrooms, some Ceylon cinnamon, turmeric, fresh ground black pepper, Redmond’s salt, and Pristine Hydro water. I buy the frozen organic avocado chunks from Costco and use these in the blender to keep things cool, rather than blending with ice. The greens are the magic. The parsley is used to combat heavy metals. The turmeric and black pepper are to combat inflammation. The cinnamon is to regulate blood sugars. The fermented greens are because fermentation confers more nutrition and the addition of probiotics through natural food sources is great. The salt is because we tend to have low salt while fasting and being in keto (energy and proper electros). I also put a shot of MCT in order to help maintain being in keto. I blend, I do not juice. This is to slow any insulin spikes by the inclusion of fiber. The avocado provides excellent nutrition, a great fats profile, and good potassium. Overall, the drink is high in potassium and nutrients and bolsters liver function and moves the bowels really well. I drink a greens/avo shake around 12:00-1:00p and then have a normal keto dinner as early as possible. Avoid any snacking and leave three hours with no food between dinner and bedtime. On the days when the “Green Goblin” is not enough, I will cook two pasture raised eggs in pasture raised butter and perhaps have a handful of organic blueberries.

@@gabrielguzman6018 it can do that. However, you want to make sure the sugar blasting doesn’t do liver and pancreas harm. A person can advance insulin resistance with juicing alone. I really think blending is much better. That fiber is super important. Keeping fructose low is very important for those who are insulin resistant since fructose has a direct metabolic pathway to the liver.

My mom's mom always did this, so no one in my family thought it odd. Organic Kiefer doesn't exist around here, and the cost of grass fed yogurt is prohibitive. My solution has been to buy my goats' milk, and make my own yogurt. It's still expensive, but, by eating a nearly zero carbohydrate diet, I don't eat that much. Fasting also reduced my number of meals and also the quantity. It allows me to obtain better quality. And, thank you for the healthy recipe. It's really hard for me to eat kale.

I am on pause because of the RAW kale ingredient. Raw kale has an abundance of oxalites. Cooking kale can mitigate that "anti-nutrient"... so what are your thoughts regarding THAT? Edit: I just read that kale has a relatively low amount of oxalic acid and phytic acid, and with a healthy gut, your body mostly neutralizes them. The freezing helps to break down the cell walls in the kale too, making the kale more absorbable. So nevermind. ;-)

I realised how extraordinary the liver is, after watching Dr. Berg’s videos. This organ takes all the beatings from the food you eat and yet can recover completely if you just do your part. Just ur small part! Can’t ask anything more !

Thanks for the tip on freezing kale. I've been doing fresh kale for years and would always have to throw away extra when it would go bad in the fridge. I never thought to freeze it. Also just by pure coincidence I've been doing a kale and blueberry based smoothie nearly every day for years now so my liver probably has been happy about that. I also want to try that blueberry and lemon shake. That sounds interesting.

I know all about what you’re speaking Dr. Berg I have had a Puestowe (pancreas cancer surgery) on my pancreas, which not very many people live from and I’ve had a Whipple done on my pancreas, which some people live some don’t so they took out my gallbladder as well. I had stage two pancreatitis for the Whipple and stage one Aidenocarcinoma for the Puestowe both which I survived these two pancreatic surgeries. I literally was airlifted from my home, woke up five days later in critical care life support ICU at Stanford. I am here today because I changed my diet way before I ever knew about keto or carnivore. I have been eating a keto diet for 10 years which actually saved my life. I had to change the way I ate and saw Food because I believe as a retired nurse there’s no such thing as a magic pill and they’re never never will be the only magic is how you see your foods and how your nutrients and basic fundamentals that you need to learn from everything you put into your mouth every day For the rest of your life. Thanks Doc 👍🏼💞 I am working on writing a book what I discovered from cancer treatments to what people need to learn about their health how they see food exercise fasting once you’re done eating if you’re not hungry, why are you eating because the clock tells you to that’s not true we’ve all been indoctrinated to eat breakfast luncheon dinner many don’t need that kind of food so all this is going in my book but I do agree with a lot of the things are saying about the liver and the pancreas I take pancreatic enzymes called CREON And this medicine has lipase and Amalayse to help me break down foods. I’ve also found that eating fresh pineapple and papaya. Has it bromine enzymes that also help break down your food, which is excellent in a nice smoothie. Thank you for all your help and I shall continue to listen and learn from you. Lastly I got stage 4 Thyroid cancer and won that battle as well but I truly must be careful what I literally eat daily or my body becomes boarder line diabetic….so far my sugars stay at 101-108 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
