@@LeaMessenger Drinking lemon and ginger doesn't make you lose weight. Consuming less energy than you burn off makes you lose weight.
@LeaMessenger Жыл бұрын
@@dummy999 Wait. Consuming less energy? I think you meant to say something else but anyway… I believe the lemon and ginger has a host of health benefits yes and maybe because it helps with internal cleansing and adds certain nutrients things would run more efficiently but lose weight? Maybe it could increase the metabolism if cayenne was added but there’s nothing like increasing activity toAid and losing weight. The issue at my age is that all of a sudden there are issues with certain joints in my body that are aching so badly that whenever I try to do cardio I pay for it even worse the next day or the day after. I have never been out of shape in my entire life I have never been overweight like this it’s all because of pain that I’m unable to do what I used to do for several decades I was a fitness trainer amongst other things. I’m going to join a pool membership pretty soon though that should help. Ginger and lemon… Great for the digestive system I believe not sure what else probably the liver.
@dummy999 Жыл бұрын
@@LeaMessenger Consuming less energy. Calories are energy. Eating less of them than you burn... get a grasp on the fundamentals if weight loss is your goal. You're looking in the wrong direction if it is. There are many low impact forms of cardio (walking, elliptical, swimming, seated bike), but the main thing to focus on is what you're putting in your body. Nutrition needs to be the priority in your mind above exercise. Cutting out cream in your coffee or having one less soda a day will do 100x more for you in regards to weight loss than drinking lemon and ginger. That's a fix for a bad belly, not a big belly

@Utsusemi Жыл бұрын
@@kerryann8490 Similar to Dr. Mandell, I cut the lemon in quarters, that way it's easy to peal or squeeze. I bought a personal blender to get the most out of my lemon. So I stopped squeezing and opted to blend the lemon. The ratio is something you decide yourself. A quarter of a lemon, half of a lemon, whole lemon. Since these nutrients are water soluble, I think the best policy would be to have more than 1 serving throughout the waking day.

My favorite ingredients. 😋. I always keep that white antioxidants with all citrus. I like alot less ginger. But again I prefer fresh turmeric since it's readily available. Hawaii has been growing turmeric for over a hundred years it has an orange flesh and has a milder flavor.

Turmeric is a great idea to add to this! I don't care for ginger much but I use about half what the Dr uses in this drink. 😊

Himalayan salt typically carries heavy metals due to the manufacturing process. Most of it comes from overseas. You want good salt find Celtic salt or something from Utah

@@UsernameUnkwn21 Iodine is added to table salt in America. Go to the grocery store and look at a container of Morton Salt and see that it says IODINE ADDED. By the way my sister is allergic to iodine so we had to buy the salt w/o it added.

I have been making ginger root tea with ginger/turmeric tea bags and some lemon juice mixed in for drinking first thing on an empty stomach. It's been cleaning me out, and my gut is happy, for sure. I just don't have the Himalayan salt. Will look into that ingredient. Thank you, Doctor Mandel. Great channel! ❤
