I'm 6'6 & 323 but I do about 4-5 pull ups &/or chin ups . Possibly more chin ups . I was 398 . At that point(398), I did 1 to two chin ups &/or pull ups . I refused to use assistant machinery because I'm thick headed, stubborn & too damn ignorant to look up & notice it was the equipment in front of the oblique machine . I grind because I have little guys who have always been my light & were tough on me but compassionate enough to tolerate the size deficits & strength deficits . You can do it . Like Mike said... ...stick to it . Before too long, your strength & repetition will increase . My pull up/chin up & dip game is increasing because the little guys make me tired of watching them & their fancy prancy tricks & the moment hand stand push ups is their next trick, I'll be working on them . My homies are my strength, find yours . There's nothing no one does that I cannot do × 10 is what I tell myself[so should you] . Peace

I'm glad you mentioned the part about training everyday. Pull-ups everyday. I used to train all throughout the day 5 days a week all different body parts, but lately have been doubting that decision, recently changing to bro split frequency in an attempt to maximize my efforts. Hearing your peace on that makes it easier to hold true to what I thought was correct.

I prefer a two arm dumbbell row, not so much for breathing issues, but I just find I can get that mind muscle connection way way easier using two arms. I like the symmetrical resistance. It just feels right, and its quicker to boot! I like the pace and the content of your videos! So I am now SUBSCRIBED! With the Bell. Keep them coming!

Here's another reason why the pull up is the best exercise, you can do it everywhere like big Rob said you can do it in your backyard. There was a documentary I think in which they were trying to find the best weapon of them all and the winner was your fists because they are available at any time. That was very cool and I think it applies here to, as most of us don't have back rowing machine in our backyards haha

I lost pull ups many years back. in my early teens before starting weights i used to do hundreds of press ups and pull ups and even continued to keep doing them when i was working out at the gym but somewhere along the line i stopped doing them to concentrate on heavier movements that were harder. and years later having put on alot of muscle mass and size found i could no longer perform more than 3 pulls up, thus I stopped doing them. I use the assisted machine now in trying to slowly get back to being able to perform them with full range of motion using bodyweight then hopefully back to doing them weighted one day
