As someone who is 36 weeks pregnant, I love this video! But I do want to mention that exercise may not prevent GD in all people. I was doing HIIT workouts (25-30 minutes) and ran 5ks throughout all of my pregnancy (while eating mostly healthy-I was very fortunate to have no nausea in my first trimester) 6 times per week and still got mild gestational diabetes that has been diet controlled. I have one friend who was a yoga instructor that got it! I just want to comment because the assumption that pregnant people with gestational diabetes aren’t exercising enough, and you can avoid GD through a healthy lifestyle is not necessarily true for everyone. But keeping up a healthy lifestyle can help!

Thank you! I’m on GD pregnancy number 2 despite an active healthy lifestyle and a normal bmi. GDM is definitely not lifestyle induced for all of us.

This is so helpful to hear. I too hardly ate bad and was physically active throughout the days. I was beginning to blame myself on the possibility that I didn’t eat healthy enough or move enough. I am a short statured woman standing at 5’2” and weighed 115 before pregnancy. Once I got pregnant it’s like I just blew up despite eating salads and hardly any carbs. I let go a little and enjoyed ice cream and cake but I never ate the whole thing and it wasn’t an every day thing. It was like once or twice a month if that. I don’t drink soda or anything artificial. I just don’t know how this could have happened.

My oldest son is in his early 20's and he has type 1 diabetes. They took his blood and it was 600. What I do not understand is how he could have gotten it, since no one in the family has it. But he is winning the battle now. This is good stuff.

I don’t think I have GD yet but as I’m doing bloodsugar monitoring for my midwives, I do see my bloodsugar spike more with certain foods and these workouts are helping me after meals to get a low change from my baseline numbers. It is SO much more difficult to control that fasting number! I have been borderline so close to that 95 number the past couple weeks. But I believe these videos have been helping with my overall health, energy, and insulin resistance. I do feel stronger! @@abulkhayer2069 i took 3/4 portion of carbs either 3/4 cup of rice, potato etc. My dietician also limit my bread intake to 1 slice per meal/snack. More leafy vegetables and fruits that are not too sweet.

@@abulkhayer2069 end up taking insulin shots starting at 29 weeks. During my 2nd month post partum check up, sugar level still a little elevated so I was asked to still watch my food intake. Also it might also be the hormones from pregnancy. On my 3.5 month check up sugar was already normal but was advised to have annual sugar test to be on the safe side. GD was gone already by the way.

Thank you so much for this. I have Gestational Diabetes risk bc of my high blood sugar during my first trimester. I discovered this exercise a few weeks before my OGTT test and so I did it frequently, if I feel better it's 6x a week. I just got tested last week and my blood sugar came out normal.. Aside from the physical help, it eased my anxiety knowing that I am doing something to prevent GDM. Thank you. I am considering doing another exercise. I am currently 26 weeks pregnant. :)

This is the best prenatal workout video on youtube. Here is why, you show upcoming exercise before starting it which helped ne to prepare myself.Plus you have added music and also give instructions alongside..I used to do Chloe tings workout before getting pregnant.. But after getting pregnant i didnt find any workouts which matches the quality of hers video. All of the videos are all about talk or instructions which seemed boring to do. please add timer beep at the end of workout.. It will be easier to do otherwise we have to check continuously on screen.

Been doing your workouts very regularly since week 13, and now I'm 30 weeks. :) I love their length, because I might do 2/day, one HIIT, Pilates or Barre, and one Yoga or Stretching and I can fit it into my workday. Luckily I work from home. I also got diagnosed with GD at week 27, been working hard on keeping up with exercizing and a strict diet, unfortunately no improvement yet, but I won't give up. :) Thank you for keeping me motivated, and your cheerful and professional approach. And also for making new videos every week, so I can try out new ones all the time.

Thn nly I started tis workout morning n evening with regular walking till 36 weeks...I controlled my diabetes so well n I was feeling so healthy n wen I went for my scan at 37th week I was already 9cms dilated n gave birth within 1.5 hour to a baby boy...thank u sooo much..it was sooo nice tat u gave me so much support n tips while exercising...Good work...cheers..🍻

This video saved my home birth. I was diagnosed with GD late at 35 weeks. Had to log 4 straight weeks of fasting blood sugars below 90 every morning for the OB to sign off on my homebirth. Even with a highly restricted keto diet, this workout was the thing that finally got them in the 80s every time!! So thankful I could do it 9 months pregnant. And it was a wonderful smooth labor and birth despite a 9.5 lb baby !

Hi Jessica! I am 33 weeks pregnant and I have gestational diabetes. I exercise (yoga, pilates, walking) regularly and able to maintain normal blood sugar levels during the day, but my fasting blood sugar levels are always higher than they should be ( 94-99). My doctor wants me to keep them under 90, so I exercise before I go to bed and don't eat several hours before I go to sleep, and I take medications, but nothing seems to work. Do you have any suggestions on why it happens and how to manage my blood sugars at night? Thank you so much for any input. I truly enjoy all your videos!

I also get so much relief by drinking an electrolyte drink right before I go to sleep!! ‘Cure’ and ‘DripDrop’ have been my favorite brands!

I am almost 28 weeks and my dr has now diagnosed gestational diabetes. Although after meals blood sugar are within the range my fasting blood sugar increases so she has also given me 500mg of metformin. Although I walk daily for 30 mins n exercise also
