I am 9 years reversing my Type 2 diabtes and a long list of other lifestyle illnesses using a PLANT EXCLUSIVE, whole food sos free diet. Low fat, low protein diet. Went from 23 meds to 2 very, very low dose meds. Fasting blood glucose levels 70-80, A1C 4.8 - 5.0. No heart disease. Yes I do fast. Keto can not do any of that long term without damaging your heart and kidneys.

This is one of the easier challenges I've opted to trying. I truly am addicted to certain foods and went on a cheesey/salty & sweet binge last week. I decided to do this to reset my gut and really really stick with my health goals with intention. I'm on day 2 of this diet and I honestly didn't expect to be sooo full from everything. I honestly did not feel the need for a snack AT ALL and I love snacking. Lol The recipes are simple really quick to cook and taste really really good! My cauliflower noodles tastes like a yummy Ramen. I cooked lemon pepper chicken in my crockpot for my protein as well as lemon pepper salmon filet and the flavors compliment the recipes very well.

At my worst, I had to eat a pescatarian, low fodmap, no fungus (no mushrooms), lectin avoidance diet. Considering that food tends to be like drugs, people don't change till they reach rock bottom, many people will be in a similar position that I was. I would highly recommend the 3 day gut reset diet recommended in the book, "The Plant Paradox". Unfortunately, this video's diet is not limited ENOUGH for those people.

Hi Thomas, I am new to your channel and loving it. I am about 40-50 lbs heavier than I normally am. I’m also a 54 year old single mom who has gone through menopause, which I am guessing is the reason for the shift in my weight and loving red wine. I started with your videos on 8/1/21 and I’ve been eating strict clean keto and just this week following your workout recommendations for fasting 2-3 days a week. Today is actually one of my fast days so I’m starting this challenge with you today. Any other suggestions for a post-menopausal woman in her 50’s to lose weight would be phenomenal. I’ve only lost 5 lbs so far and thought it’d be more since no wine, eating clean keto, etc. I’m trying not to get discouraged, but I do LOVE how I’m feeling. I’m determined to keep trying.

I think I’ll try alternate day fasting like you are describing as much as I can while on the road next week starting fasting on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, breaking the fast in the evenings after 20+ or so hours of fasting. See how it goes…

SEED is appealing but the price point is for a different income level.

@@jd46800 I DID buy it-but not bc I was bloating/eating crap. I overate erythritol and have been screwed up for MONTHS. Seeing this video makes me understand why it's helping but not 100%. I'm happy I have it and am looking forward to this challenge.

@@jd46800 I didn't go that long bc I can't afford the weight loss/hair loss that accompanies longer than 48 hour fasts for me. I have gone 48, and followed that with 100% carnivore for a month that very much helped. I am doing 10 days carb up, and trying a gut reset that includes IF and Seed. I completely understand you not being on board with each product he promotes bc they are advertisers-LMNT is now pushed where 2 years ago it was a different brand- but just bc someone buys it does not mean they 'eat crap'.

The irony is I’m here after taking Seed for 2 weeks and it sending me into the first IBD flare I’ve had in 7+ years 😅 for those that have IBD/IBS i would proceed with caution with the probiotic you choose

Hi. I was wondering what you thought about Kefir ? For gut health. I have leaky bowel syndrome. But am trying to also stick to a 16/8 fast and eating 2 meals a day, low carb. My dr has told me I need to lose a few kegs as my LCL is fairly high. I want to lose a bit of weight anyway. Only need to lose 5 kg. Have yo yo dieted a lot. But I love your strategy and thinking . I follow a lot of what you say . I’m 65 but a youngish 65. Healthy in all other ways. Thanks

This looks great and I’d like to start. It would be helpful if there was a timing guide to go along with it. I’m sure I could do the math

Thomas, If I cannot mix the ghee and bone broth from meat(kosher), is there an alternate? I could use a fish-bone broth with ghee - or I could use meat bone broth with coconut oil. Also-is it ok to cook the cremini mushrooms or must they be raw?

2 years ago you said to avoid chicken on a gut reset. Is it really ok now?

For the lunch on non-fasting days, are the spaghetti squash/zucchini, asparagus, & mushrooms all cooked? (Left to my my own devices, I would bake the spaghetti squash, steam the asparagus, & sauté the mushrooms.) I am guessing the optional raw oats are added in dry (uncooked)? I would ask on the FB group since this is an old video, but I am still waiting for approval. Thanks.
