This is a little off topic to the video. I’m new to the synth world but old to music , playing and analog studious. Simple question to anyone that may want to chime in. Is an analog mixer necessary for multiple synths and units or would an interface and daw accomplish the same thing? Played in a band for several years as well live shows and studio time. Just been cracked out on this amazing synth world that’s so much more advanced from the eighties. As well this is a freaking great channel ! Love everything about it. 👍
@BoBeats4 жыл бұрын
Hey JC. I have a video called ”How to record your synthesizers”. It is aimed at someone like you discussing different options. In short: Audio interfaces are the Nr 1 way, but digital multitracking mixers like Signature MTK from Soundcraft are also a good option Analog mixers are not the best option. You want something with multi tracking capability i.e recording multiple channels of audio to the computer.

Hey you sound exactly like me. Been in bands and played live for years and only recently got involved with the synth world. In answer to your question I use both. I use an analog mixer for live jamming and for ideas as I have a serious collection of guitar pedals I like to use with the synths and then record to stereo. If I want to create a proper album track then I would use an interface and record each track separately to a DAW.
